Paid way too much for a bowl of rice and fat. Don't get the steak bowl. Way too pricey for the shit quality.

Well, well, well, what magic awaits outside of the tourist area of Savannah? This place. Love the…read moreidea of going in, starting a tab, and just using your name at the bar, one of the fixed places to get food from, or even the food trucks that literally drive in and park there. Surrounded by shipping containers, it is its own special space where you can find a seat and enjoy the food and drink you grab, play games you brought on the tables (think brewery type action on that front), or just hang out with friends. I had a t-rex burrito - brisket, beans, rice, roast poblanos and onions, avocado, cilantro and a crispy cheese shell while there. Best burrito I ever had? No, but my first choice would have been the food trucks (that were not scheduled to arrive while I was there) and next time, even if I still don't time it right, there will plenty of other things to try. That, with some board game time, two beers from the bar, and absolutely perfect weather for being outside, made for a great day here.

This venue can only be described as a skate parks and food trucks bastard child who made something of themselves. From roof top viewing of an outdoor main staand drinking areas, to a plethora of food choices, if you are a foodie as well as a live music lover this is the place for you. A wonderful selection of beers and cocktails were a delightful departure from the more "refined" and commercial bars in the historic district. Follow the sound of the music.

We tried the Smashburger special with fried Brussels sprouts tossed in a sticky Asian glaze -- and I say this as a Brussels enthusiast: some of the best I've had in my life. The pulled pork sandwich was a hit with the kids (zero leftovers = five-star review). The mac and cheese disappeared faster than I could taste it. And yes, we got the tots -- well seasoned and totally necessary. No dine-in space, but honestly? Sitting in the car with the A/C blasting, swapping bites with the kids, and not worrying about anyone spilling on a restaurant floor felt just right. It was about $57 for the full spread (plus drinks) -- not cheap, but absolutely worth it. We will definitely be back. #SlowFireBBQ #SavannahEats #SavannahFoodie #BBQLovers #SmashburgerMagic #MomLifeEats #SavannahWithKids #FoodTruckFinds #GAeats #SupportSmallBusiness #LunchInTheCar #StyrofoamAndJoy

My daughter suggested we head to Starland Yard to celebrate her graduation from college. Starland is a neat spot with several stationary restaurants and a few food trucks that roll in...different ones every day. We chose the Naked Dog. Man...it was really worth it. For some, a $12 hot dog might seem steep. It was a gourmet dog and It came with fries, so I thought that was fair. My dog was perfect. Fresh bread...incredible toppings and ample portions. The fries on the side were seasoned very well also. It was a great hot dog meal. The rest of our party had other menu items from Dog: 1) Cheese fries - highly rated 2) Loaded fries--- VERY highly rated 3) cheeseburger - highly rated (it looked incredible) 4) a dog with jalapeños, etc. - very highly rated I have chased good hot dogs all over America and as far as Switzerland. The naked dog was a top 5 experience. When in Savannah, they are worth finding--- I know I will find them again...

During the COVID-19 quarantine we have had several local food trucks from the area rotate for lunch/dinner during the week. I am so sad I only made it to The Naked Dog once before I moved back north. I am a hot dog lover, so imagine my difficulty in not ordering every variation from the menu! My husband and I decided on a few to split (not knowing their size): a classic Naked dog with classic toppings (ketchup, mustard, relish); a slaw dog; a Reuben dog; and a Chicago dog. If I could be speechless in a written Yelp review, I'd leave it at that. The dogs were jumbo sized, toppings were plentiful, tasty and temperature just right. The slaw dog was my absolute favorite - the cole slaw had the perfect consistency and was simple enough to not overpower the dog itself. The Reuben was a legit sandwich on a burger, pastrami and all. The dressing was perfect. The Chicago was classic and wonderful, complete with the unique green Chicago relish. Last but not least, smoothies! What better pair than a smoothie and a dog? We tried peach and strawberry. They were fruity, had chunks of real fruit and were not overly sweet. Just amazing! Y'all, please go have a hotdog or three on my behalf until I'm able to return to Savannah again!

We had their crispy spicy tuna appetizer with crispy square rice on the bottom and they were so good. For the main entree I ordered their butabara kimchi ramen and it was what I needed, the broth was rich, savory, and the kimchi really brings the broth flavor more dimensional. The ramen noodle texture was cooked to perfection and the pork belly paired so well in this ramen. My husband ordered the A5 wagyu rib eye and the steak melt in your mouth. We sprinkle the sea salt and dipped it in the quail yolk dashi juice and it was perfection! It is definitely a gem restaurant for Savannah! Truly amazing food experience!

There's a great selections of Japanese Whiskey, Sake and cocktails. We had a reservation and when we entered it was a bit confusing with people all over the place in the entrance not sure whether waiting to speak to the hostess or just casually waiting to be called for their table. After getting sorted we spoke to the hostess and then were shortly seated. The waiter came and took our drink orders right away. We got 2 cokes and a Whiskey Sour with Japanese Whiskey. After waiting about 15 min the waiter came back to take our food order, however we still had not gotten our drinks. We asked and said they were coming swiftly. Finally after 10 minutes later our drink orders came in. The cokes were flat but the Whiskey Sour was really good. I can't remember the waiters name but honestly she came by maybe 4 times the whole night and did not have the best attitude. The best thing about Ukiyo hands down was the food. Everything from the Ramen to the wagyu bao buns, just Wow. The wagyu was so crispy and just melted in your mouth. The ramen had amazing flavor profiles and was perfectly spiced. We also ordered the Chicken Karaage and this was so tender with the citrus mayo. This was also pretty big so were easily filled with all these dishes. The food and cocktails were amazing but the service really did disappoint from the delays and infrequent interactions.
