HOWEVER, the price did NOT match the quantity of food we received. A half cup of rice and nine tiny cubes of tuna should not cost $20, irregardless of inflation. As a four person family, our meal was over $100 and we only ordered bowls. Nothing else. If we had combined all four bowls into one, that amount of food would be what we had gotten from Nico's in Hawaii for the same price. I'm very critical of poké, because I am rather familiar with Hawai'ian, Chamorro, and other Polynesian foodways and prepare a lot of Hawai'ian food at home. My boyfriend is Chamorro and says I have the highest standards for pan-Oceanic cuisines of anyone he's ever met. That disclaimer thus offered, overall their poké is pretty good. The tempura shrimp could be improved: the shrimp are a smooth breading and not a panko-crust and should be the latter in my opinion. Their fried wonton chips however are masterfully done and the bowls in general are just very good: they even have crushed macadamia nuts as a topping for several of them and the amount of salt is correct (more salty than you might expect, but this is typical when a soya-based sauce is only served on the side, as should be, and not over the bowl). They're been open mere weeks, so if anything they will only improve but are starting out in the best way. Very glad a good poké place has joined the ranks of Savannah restaurants. read more

It serves the ingredients over a bed of rice in the tradition of poke. They have black rice option which is nutty like brown rice. Their menu is a fusion of Asian influence as each signature bowl has its own narrative and distinct flavor profile. I had the citrus salmon and it was served with edamame, cucumber, other vegetables. The yuzu brought a perfect brightness and the detail of using rock salt added another layer of texture. I appreciate how they add fried lemons, which I never had but was a welcome component. It has a subtle bitterness that brings all the other components to life. Plus it makes the bowl beautiful to look at. Upon my return, I had their ahi tuna which they have delivered daily. It was not a playful as my citrus salmon but still good. I had the spicy version, but it was super tame and though the crispy shallots are tasty it overpowered the fish. I would go with the non-crispy version. After returning several times, it has been consistently good. Service and the food brings a smile to all the customers. They have been out of sashimi several times. The owners have been present on all occassions and keep a tight ship. I love the attention to detail such as the brulee pineapple for the salsa. Since it has under ten tables, they have a good grasp on quality control. All their dishes are beautifully presented. They have appetizers for sharing such as the ahi tuna nachos. Specials have started to appear on top of the standard menu. There is also beef and tofu options for those who don't want seafood. There are about ten tables.
