Windsor Starbucks is located near the center of town. Easy to get to for a quick drink to start your day, or a mid-day pick me up. Lots of parking. The employees are helpful and make drinks quickly. This Starbucks is a solid branch of a reliable chain. You can sit outside or inside in several cozy areas.

In the Sonoma Valley area for a few days, we stopped by Windsor on a cool, rainy November weekday. Right off the main square, conveniently located for the caffeine-deprived, was a nice Starbucks. The barista that served us was pleasant and helpful. She gave my wife good advice on a drink to try, and we learned that this Starbucks has been there eight years - as has she. Service was fast and our drinks were both nicely crafted, my wife's flat white topped with attractive espresso art. There's somewhat limited seating inside, but we did find a table that overlooked the Central Square. However, the inside tables are right on top of each other, and shortly after noon a goodly number of highschoolers dropped by at their lunchtime - thus ended the quiet! We headed outside where there were a few more tables, nicely under an awning to shield us from the light rain, which worked out well as we finished our coffees. This Starbucks definitely adds to the Windsor downtown.

Workers were nice and friendly! The worker was nice when I asked about the pumpkin spice latte and gave me her opinion on the drink. The pumpkin spice latte was a 10/10. I also got their breakfast sandwhich and it was good just had minimal salt, but that's normal for most breakfast places. It was good though once salt was added. I asked for a pup cup and they gave me one for a $1 charge. Also they have dog treats for free that you can just grab! Safe to say I will definitely be back.

There is both indoor and outdoor seating so there is plenty of seating. It's a great place for meeting up with friends and hanging out over coffe and breakfast. It's also a great place if you have kids as well because they have several different kids drinks to chose from such as hot chocolate and it's next to a park and playground in downtown Windsor. It's a stunning backdrop for what remains some of the best baking in Sonoma County. As for the food, it remains predictably--and exceptionally--amazing. A few highlights from this visit: * **Ham & Cheese Croissant:** Perfectly laminated with that elusive shatter-crisp exterior and a savory, high-quality center. * **Veggie Quiche:** Often an afterthought elsewhere, here it was custard-like and rich, accompanied by a surprisingly delightful, bright side salad. * **The Sweets:** Both the OBG (Oatmeal Brown Butter Ginger) and the apricot cookies were standout treats, balancing texture and nuanced sweetness. * **Baguette:** A masterclass in crust and crumb; it's a must-grab for the ride home. * **Cappuccino:** Precisely pulled and well-textured, easily competing with the dedicated third-wave coffee shops in the area. The service was polite and welcoming, though it leaned a bit toward the slower side. However, given the quality of the output and the inviting nature of the new space, it's a minor concession. If you are looking for top-tier pastry craft in a beautiful setting, this new iteration of Quail & Condor is an absolute win.

When you walk in, there is a lot of open space and the inside felt comfortable. There was an open and flowing environment. That was great! So, where did it go wrong? The prices were just sky rocketed into another dimension. $7 a muffin and $7 a scone. I seem to have much better luck at the Farmers Market for less. I get it, there is a fancy building that needs to be paid for. Don't come here for dairy free option if you're looking for something in the sweet and savory department. There are GF options but those are still rittled and laced with butter and dairy. Like, bread is your only choice if you're dairy free. The gentlemen that helped me told me to get a loaf of bread. So I did. $12. I went with the Rosemary, olive oil and sea salt focaccia bread. The good news is, it was nice and soft like an Air b n b pillow. The bad news is, it had more salt than the ocean. With copious amounts of olive oil saturated the bag before I left the parking lot (see attached pic). My husband was not a fan either and we left the loaf of bread out for the pigeons.

It's got all the things that make my mind go 'ding!' when I see it. Words like: ricotta, smoked salmon, avocado, eggs. All words that make me take a second look. I had come because I saw they had an egg salad toast, (I am an egg salad fiend!) but there were so many yummy options, it was a difficult decision. I ended up ordering the smoked salmon toast, which had cream cheese, cucumbers, amazingly high quality smoked salmon, capers, pickled shallots, and it was supposed to have microgreens, but they were out so, they put avocado on top on levain bread. It was seriously delicious. So fresh and high quality, portioned perfectly for lunch. As I get older, I kinda just want a well-portioned lunch that's healthy. I love my greasy heavy options every once in a while, but for 'everyday fare' - you want something that is good, high quality and doesn't weigh you down. This is perfect for that! With everything so expensive nowadays, I'd rather pay a decent price for something high quality and well portioned... there's so much mediocrity out there, it makes me tired thinking I have to pay $20 for lunch nowadays and it's not even that good. ... Might as well stay home and heat up a trader joe's frozen meal. :P But sometimes, I don't wanna do that! So for those days, I guess I'll be coming here to try another menu item. Plus, the cafe is cute, and a place you want to sit in and eat your food, making it comfy. And I like comfy! I need comfy, nowadays. Glad I found this hidden gem! Also, the owner is super nice, and clearly cares about his food. And that counts for a lot!

There are nice ways to say No. I would have appreciated any help, even at a later time. I have worked in extremely busy cafes, restaurants, bars... as well as many other fast paced environments.
