I've been unable to drink fresh coffee from home the last several days, so I decided to start going to this Starbucks in the morning to get my usual coffee drink from Starbucks: A black trenta iced cofee. Black, to me, meaning no cream and no sweetener. Day 1: I get my coffee with the usual three pumps of classic sweetener in it even though I asked for my coffee black. Fine. Maybe that's on me, I'll just be more specific with my order next time. No big deal. Day 2: I remembered to specify no sweetener and it's perfect. Just ice and coffee, just the way I like it. Day 3: I again specified black and no sweetener. Coffee comes to me with the three pumps of classic sweetener again. And since I use the drive-thru, it's not like I can walk back up to the counter to have them fix my drink. I'll no longer be coming to this Starbucks. The quicker turnaround time compared to the other one near me isn't worth it if they can't even get something as simple as no sweetener in my coffee right. read more

This is the one we go to a lot because it's on the way to work. Download the Starbucks app. They do have perks for signing up. You can also order through the app. It makes it so convenient. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Before we leave our house we order through the app and by the time we get there, it's already ready. I was in a bit of a rush to get to work, so I pulled through the drive-thru to get my food and drink as fast as I could. I messed up when asking for my own order (I know, not off to a good start) But the barista was super polite and said he's not worried (even though the line was backed up by about five cars. Anyways, I get to the window, and not only did they give me the food that I wanted, they even threw in the sandwich that I hadn't meant to order! The staff here has always been super nice but they NEVER make drinks the way they are supposed to be made. Most the time the coffees taste 80% like water or 80% like straight milk. Any other Starbucks locations in the area will make your drink better then this place. I don't know who is teaching these kind people how to make the drinks but they need a recap. This is currently the only local Starbucks location open with COVID 19 going on so if you are looking for a drink from this location save it. read more

This is a very attractive rustic looking Starbucks. There's a drive thru and a walk up window, no cafe to lounge in (no problem for me, I always have small kids with me). The staff is super friendly and the drive thru has a screen showing you your order and total so you immediately know if it's correct. read more

wow! this location easily deserves 5 stars! from cleanliness, drinks, and the speedy drive thru service. this brand new store just opened earlier this year (2013) and it hasn't been a disappointment yet. the long lines may look intimidating but you'll be out of there in no time! the baristas make the best drinks here! i usually order black tea with a splash of apple juice and most times, my drinks will end up tasting like straight apple juice. when i say splash they literally added a splash and not drowned my tea with juice. they take the time to ask me how i want my drink made. not a lot of baristas will take their time to ask. im so happy to have this starbucks right by my school. i come here all the time and it's perfect that i don't have to get out of my car to get some. this drive- thru is the most convenient invention ever! they need to start having more drive- thru locations in the south bay! read more

I've always enjoyed Starbucks but this location totally put me off. I had my reward for my free drink and they wouldn't honor it because their computer wasn't recognizing it. I showed them my app, it said "show your barista, expires February 22nd" and they kept telling me that I had probably already used it and I hadn't. They sent me away and would not honor my drink. I called the corporate number and they indeed confirmed that my reward was available. Went to a different location and they had the same problem with not finding my reward but they honored it as they should. I will not be returning to this location, both the employee and manager were very rude. read more

I'd have to say this is my favorite Starbucks. Although it's not the closest to my house, I'd make the drive here if I had the time. I take the route that passes by this location whenever I go to and from work so I can make a pit stop here. This is first Starbucks that I know of that has this type of layout. It's more of a drive thru. There is a window where you can walk up after parking to order but it's outdoors. The only thing indoors about this location is basically where the baristas make the drinks and whatnot. Still has tables and chairs outside, even a restroom. It'd be relaxing to sit here if it's a nice day out but I just go here for the drive thru. Quickest drive thru eveeeeeer! I don't think I've ever waited more than a couple of minutes for my drink, even with a line of cars in front of me. Order at the speakers (as all drive thrus have) with super friendly baristas and they basically have the order ready when pulling up to the pick up window. My drinks are always made the way I ask them to with the customizations I request. Like I said, pretty much my favorite Starbucks location :) read more

If you like cream in your coffee be careful driving thru this location. I ordered an Americano with cream and was charged $0.60 for them to put my cream in for me. I asked if they had somewhere I could do it myself to avoid the aggravation of an extra charge and was told no. In a hurry, and stuck in the drive-thru, I just agreed to pay the extra and then called customer service. My complaint was taken and I was told they would let the direct manager know. A couple of weeks later I was called and only given excuses about why I was charged. Eventually, after what I considered having to defend myself, I was given a generic apology. I wasn't even offered my $0.60 back. Obviously it isn't the $0.60 but I know if I were ever $0.60 short on my order they wouldn't just let it go. Very disappointing. I eventually looked up Starbucks cream policy and it states there is a charge for extra cream if they steam it and then put it in for you. Not for the cream you can usually find on the counters of more customer friendly locations!!!!! read more

So bummed and disappointed for giving this Starbucks a one star.. I've been here a few times and all my experiences at this location was horrible. The girl taking drive thru orders seem like she doesn't know a lot about what's on the menu and her drinks very well. She's always stuttering and she says "one second" a lot. And sometimes she doesn't even answer back and there's just a long awkward pause.. So disappointed for giving this location a low rating because it's new and it's a drive thru, but I won't be coming back here! Service is too slow and half the time the girl taking the order doesn't know what she's talking about or she has to go "double check." read more

I'm irritated... I love mobile ordering.... But the 3 times I have mobile ordered here they haven't had my drink even started. The machine that prints mobile orders is at the walk up where they don't get too much traffic. My last drink was an Americano with whole milk, 4 Splenda, and whipped cream..... it was only the Americano..... I need a dash of coffee with my cream and sugar.... needless to say, I was disappointed. This was the strangest Starbucks I've ever been too. We decided not to do drive thru and walk up to find no door, just a walk up window, serious confusion that this location has no inside seating area. Also offering new pastry collection from La Boulange. Its 9:30am and some of there pastries are already sold out. Outside of building is some kind of weathered recycled wood, interesting and different, serving the same Starbucks drinks as other locations. read more

What a beautiful Starbucks! I was so impressed with the architecture and the structure itself, landscaping etc - I had to pull into the drive-thru. even the dumpster had a really nice, matching covering. The wood was really cool, and it had this organic feel to it. Very modern and forward on the trends. I ordered two grande unsweetened green teas and it was ready by the time I drove up. At some Starbucks drive-thru's, I have to wait a good 10 minutes before I get my iced coffee, which I think its totally ridiculous - so this place made me happy. Thumbs up! read more

While waiting in the drive-thru, I was explaining to my husband how this particular parking-lot, stand-alone, Starbucks was constructed from cargo cars and reclaimed materials. I love that building concept. I also added how EXTREMELY friendly the staff is, and that I wish I had known that sooner, because now I regret the times driving past this store to go to another Starbucks closer to my home. Upon pulling up to the service window, Craig leaned out with my pumpkin spice latte in hand, CHEERFULLY exclaiming, "Here's your drink on the house! Enjoy!" My husband and I were so stunned by both Craig's enthusiasm and the prospect of a free drink that we were simply speakless. Quite a feat for the Irish. Craig explained the beverage was on-the-house because he determined we had waited in line longer than a customer should have to wait. Again we were at a loss for words. Upon regaining our composure and tongues, we profusely thanked Craig and vowed to return. In an era of poor customer service for the American consumer, suffice to say, that a Starbucks employee really made us happy. We will return, Craig! I'm so glad that they decided to open up a Starbucks at this location -- it's so convenient and close to home for me. This location has an outdoor patio seating area ONLY but it's really nice. Given this, people usually opt for the drive thru so that they can get in and out ASAP. I'm personally not a huge fan of a strong coffee taste but really needed a pick me up the other night. I pulled in to the drive thru and Craig was there to greet me via the ordering machine and I could just feel the good vibes coming through the ordering machine (You had to be there to experience these vibes). I asked him what would be good for a gal like me who needed something that would wake me up but didn't come with a strong coffee taste and he helped me find the drink right for me. We pulled up to the window and our drinks were already ready! Really love the customer service here. They have your drink(s) ready for you right when you pull up to the window so you're ready to continue on with your day. read more

I have gotten my coffee here several times and it is disgusting. I remember one time thinking maybe if I put more creamer in it then it would taste little bit better so I asked the guy can you put a little bit more creamer in it and he told me OK I'm going to have to charge you $1.50 for that mind you $1.50 is not a lot but I've never been told that at any other Starbucks. I don't know about anyone else but I feel like this place is not the place to go. Also when I got my Panini from them it was cold in the center and I am at work I only get 15 minute breaks to go get my coffee and come right back so I can't keep going back-and-forth to get my coffee fix or get my Panini warmed up I am super upset with a Starbucks and I don't think I will be returning. As a suffering college student and my basic love for PSLs she's gave me my morning boost, not just through coffee but through her kindness and smile! I order a venti iced half black tea half green tea w/ 2 pumps classic and strawberry sauce. I order 2 pumps classic because 4 pumps is too sweet. But my drink was a little off when I ordered it here. My hot chocolate tastes like coffee , seems like some gizmo wasn't fully cleaned between drinks and while I was waiting a gentleman had to come back to the window as his no-sugar ice tea had sugar in it - not good for his diabetic wife . This Starbucks produces the happiest employees I have ever encountered. Who is in a peppy mood earlier than 9:00AM? These baristas! This morning, was one of those mornings where nothing was really going quite right...I was running late but needed to stop for coffee. Convenient that this is a drive-thru location. While I was waiting in the line I noticed a sign marketing their Flat White beverage. I am a coffee with nonfat milk type of girl but this intrigued me...so I asked Craig, the chippery barista taking my order, if I should go with my usual drink or try this Flat White one. He weighed the differences for me and I ended up with the Flat White drink. I couldn't be happier! There was no disappointment in my choice. I'm unsure if the man handing me my beverage is the same gentleman, Craig, or another barista - but either way that person had the same energy. I can't tell you how this one trip completely changed my day around! And the Flat White is my new go to :) thanks so much for the positive energy and delicious beverages! Not sure people get how the star system works. I showed up at this Starbucks wanting some coffee; although, the parking lot is a pain, that's exactly what I accomplished. I kindly asked the people hovering around the order window if they we in line, they said no, the cashier asked me if I could wait a moment, so I did, then she kindly asked me how she could help me. I ordered my drink, we passed my card back & forth, then I screwed around w/ my phone while I sat at one of the outdoor tables. Moments later I heard the name I go by, & a white girl w/ a big ass smile handed me what I asked for. After a quick thank you, I started drinking it, & went about my business. PS. Don't be a prick, when you can tell an employee is new; Starbucks gets a lot of traffic, & every employee is bound to have a rough few first days. This Starbucks was also clearly designer to cater to the college a stones throw away, so keep that in mind if you need something specific from your Starbucks experience. read more

The store manager Christian is incredibly rude ! Her barista name started with an E a young man in a puffer sweater took my order, didn't apply my discount and then forgot the item I paid for. When I addressed it wit Christian she proceeded to say you should understand we have new baristas but didn't offer to fix it or empathize with me. Zero stars for this location. No "condiment Bar" here. And zero help if you want more than a teaspoon of cream. "We charge for that" she said. I wanted to pour my grande cup of coffee over ice and put cream in it and sprinkle cinnamon and maybe vanilla powder over it, like I do at every single Starbucks. I spent 10 years asking Starbucks to make this for me over and over incorrectly, and a few years ago I discovered... just do it yourself, no disappointment. This location you can't do it. I love Starbucks, I really, really love Starbucks. I DO NOT love this location. I usually go to the one on Beach and Westminster as it's closer to my work. But sometimes driving up Goldenwest is far easier then dealing with Beach Blvd. About 30% of the time my drinks are wrong. And I am not talking about convoluted blah blah blah. I mean, seriously....where's the sweetener in my Iced Green Tea, sweetened please. Here's the other thing. They aren't for the most part very nice here. I say "please" "thank you" "have a nice day" to the people working here, would it kill them to do the same? I once asked if they wouldn't mind tossing a soda cup for me (to make room for my freshly supplied beverage) and the gentlemen looked at me like I was asking for a kidney! And then he replied that it's illegal for them to dispose of outside trash. Really? I mean, if that is the rule than ok, I get that all companies have policies and procedure to follow...but sheesh...at least be a bit more courteous when you have to tell a customer no. read more

This is my second time but I am so disappointed with my coffee because it is too blank dark to drink and there is no milk to add to it which is why I hate drive thru because I can't fix my drink to my taste. Also they serve you a egg sandwich without anything to eat with. read more
