Love it at Outpost…read more I've already been here on several occassions and enjoy coming when I can (The Walnut spot opened recently so I go there too, but this one is a lot bigger, so I typically come here more often). Good working environment, simple and clean, and rarely is it too busy during the day with work ppl and students. I've seen the lunch rush at times get busy, but it dissipates pretty quickly. Orders come out relatively quickly, even hot food. Love signature latte, the banana cream matcha, the dirty chai(which is prob what i get the most), and several of their breakfast items and hot items (love the ham and cheese sandwich here). Can't complain about a single one. They have a ton of options, so you can probably come for a couple weeks straight and try something new every day...but you'd prob go broke :) Environment - Music is always playing and people are chatting, but if you have headphones, it's easy to drown out. Love the big working window to sit in front of...makes working move a lot quicker for some reason. Parking - Never an issue here, the parking lot is shared, but never too bad. Staff - Super friendly and always willing to provide a new suggestion, even if they recognize that you've been there before.

I loved the vibes on the rainy Monday I visited and a lot of people were in there working or studying, since there were outlets against the wall. The workers were nice and approachable, and the drinks came out quickly.

I just had to take a moment to give a big shoutout to one of the sweetest, most hard-working young workers I've ever come across Kevin! This little guy is an absolute gem and truly a ray of sunshine every time I visit. His contagious smile instantly lifts my mood, and I've noticed it does the same for everyone around him. He's always cheerful, polite, and greets everyone when leaving with a warm "Have a good day!" that actually makes you feel it. I've been coming here for a while, and recently the manager mentioned there are some new baristas. I truly believe Kevin is the best new barista there. He always welcomes everyone by saying hello with a good smile, and it's something you look forward to. You can tell he takes pride in his work, and people definitely notice. I've overheard so many customers chatting about how wonderful he is and how much they appreciate him being there. I would study here more often if i lived closer. Only times I come here is after i get out of class and stay here if i have a test the next day. Good quality service, drinks are made properly. Typical starbucks environment, but needs better tables and chairs. They don't have any of the soft ones, only the hard wood tables and chairs, probably because the people there are studying. Another good thing about coming here is its right next to all these food places or staples if you need some school supplies. read more

You can't really argue about the service. The store manager (or whoever) does a good job of making sure the service is genuinely happy and helpful. This store in particular is more positive and enjoyable than other Starbucks. They have tables to study areas to plug-in your computer but it's a popular area so you might find it crowded. I placed a mobile order that included four items: a Refresher, a Ham & Swiss Croissant, an Impossible Breakfast Sandwich, and another bakery item. When I arrived, I was informed that the Impossible Breakfast Sandwich was unavailable and was asked to choose another item as a replacement. Since I had already ordered a Ham & Swiss Croissant and knew that item was available, I simply chose another Ham & Swiss Croissant to replace the unavailable Impossible Sandwich. This should have been very straightforward. My original order already included one Ham & Swiss Croissant, and I was replacing the unavailable Impossible Sandwich with one additional Ham & Swiss Croissant. Therefore, my completed order should have included a total of two Ham & Swiss Croissants. However, the employee taking care of my order repeatedly told me, "You can't have two" and "You only ordered one." I explained several times that I understood I originally ordered only one Ham & Swiss Croissant. The second one was not an additional free item, it was the replacement I had just been asked to choose for the Impossible Sandwich that Starbucks was unable to provide. Instead of listening to what I was explaining or simply clarifying the substitution, the employee continued arguing with me and insisting that I could not have two. The interaction continued all the way until I met her at the window. What bothered me most was not that there was an item unavailable. I completely understand that Starbucks locations occasionally run out of food items. The issue was the way the situation was handled. I was simply following the employee's instruction to choose a replacement. I was not asking for anything extra. If Item A is unavailable and the customer chooses Item B as the replacement, and Item B is already another item in the original order, naturally there will now be two of Item B. I do not understand why this became an argument. Eventually, I did receive the Ham & Swiss Croissant as the replacement. However, when the employee handed it to me at the window, there was no acknowledgment of the misunderstanding, no apology, and not even a simple "thank you." After having repeatedly argued with me over something that could have been resolved very easily, I found the lack of basic courtesy disappointing. I am not submitting this complaint because Starbucks was out of the Impossible Sandwich. I am submitting it because of the way I was spoken to and how an extremely simple substitution was unnecessarily turned into a frustrating argument. I would appreciate it if the store management could review this situation with the employee involved. Customers should be able to ask questions or clarify an order without feeling as though they have to argue in order to receive the correct replacement. I have been a Starbucks customer and I expect basic courtesy, clear communication, and respectful customer service. Unfortunately, that was not what I experienced during this visit.
