12-13-25 thanks St. Nick for No U Turns!!! What a weird thing to comment, right? To make a long story short I left the house at 7 am for Bud's last baseball game of the season. I got the call just before the Ka Uka intersection. Bud woke up with a fever. They are keeping him home. Ok I'll turn around. No U Turn sign prominent in view- oh looky there... Starbucks by the Okinawa Center saves the day!!! Made a left turn... Fast pull in...the staff in there are super nice, I didn't know where the drive thru lane was- surely a blessing. So I walked inside. I could take photos for Yelp while I waited for my order to be filled. Surprisingly, the two employees I encountered who bring your items to the organized counter by your first name, already labeled by alphabet groups so you knew where to look to retrieve your brew and goodies. I moved closer to the counter, a very smiley elf like person called out Gail and gave me the cheeriest smile so I said Happy Holidays and he in turn said it back. As I was turning around to leave, a different elf like person said thank-you to me. We both said Happy Holidays at the same time. Had to giggle. Just like you can't give a hug without getting one in return... The prep station further back was buzzing, so busy. I swear it was like Santa's workshop for coffee appreciaters and pastry lovers. Once I sipped my grande hot peppermint mocha, all sadness I entered with had vanished. If you can't make a visit to the North Pole, make a stop here if you're in the vicinity. The spirit of Christmas is alive and well here early in the morning.

I came here for breakfast while I waited for my car to be serviced. I walked in and the vibe was very welcoming and upbeat, right down to the music playing in the store. I ended up getting the grande Caffe Latte with oatmilk and the Bacon & Guyere Egg Bites. The barista who took my order was friendly and super helpful. I ended up eating in and was able to do some reading without feeling that I had to leave. If you happen to be in the area and want a quick breakfast, I recommend that you stop by here.

My grandson ordered the dragon fruit refresher and found a bug inside the cup. It's a shame that I paid with cash, as I am now 30 minutes away and unable to get a refund.

If looks can be deceiving.... Dining in it can be very mellow but I've never seen the consistency flow of cars going by the drive thru puts the fast food chains to shame. This is the Waipio location that's right next to Costco and thought that I needed a refuel after a busy adulting day and what better way than here at Starbucks. The cashier was very direct and automated though not rude just here to work thought incredibly busy drive thru the what seems to be a small staff does it without a sweat and is something to be very proud of. Parking at this little shopping corner is tight as it shares retail space with Pandas, Ramen Ya and few others, seating is limited inside with a counter with six stools while outside has about four two top tables though it's right beside the drive thru not sure if it's a relaxing vibe, but with a cup of Ice Pumpkin Spice Latte with Almond Milk and Pumpkin Cold Foam along with a warmed Spinach Feta Wrap is nothing to complain about at all. Thank you!

    Strawberry açaí lemonade

This is a venti strawberry açaí lemonade. Almost $6 and this is what they give me, I have not touched the drink, but you can see how empty the cup is. This is completely unacceptable. Do better!!

I often visit my neighborhood Starbucks location. Generally orders are made well and taste as ordered. I always order online ahead. However, a few times it's not ready when expected and I end up waiting for them to make the order. On occasion I wonder why there's a delay when the store is empty (although they do have a drive though to cater to as well). Location is clean and they have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff are nice and helpful. I often get the free pup cups for my furbaby

    Coffee Dirt...hmmm

Carpooled with my friend yesterday & decided to make a stop @ Starbucks Waipio (the one nearest to Costco). Once again, sanitary & cleanliness comes into place. Aside from our selected morning drinks, 2 pastries, and 2 trenta cups of ICE ONLY were ordered. Upon reaching my office, I opened up the lids to both venti cups (not a big deal with the size difference) of ice. Of the two, I found what appeared to be either 1) coffee stained spot w/some on the rim 2) possibly dirt from the floor (maybe cup fell). Id like to think its more coffee, but its still questionable considering it was supposed to be just ICE only. Whether it is or not does not matter being the cup should not have been re-used. And to top it off, we didn't realize our drink actually was not made accordingly & this was brought to my attention @ another Starbucks location when I used the previous order option. The barista at another location saw me pick up my drink from the counter & he kindly pulled me on the side. He pointed out that the order didn't look right & was confusing. I looked at it & I told him "yah thats not correct" & showed him how I ordered. He then proceeded to show me how to use the "favorite" feature so I can use it for future orders. Although he did make the drink, he also offered to re-make it if it wasn't to my liking. I didn't want to trouble him for another person errors and he was kind and patient enough to teach me something new, I didn't bother with the re-make.

Coffee with drive thru service! Need I say more? To kick off the holiday season my husband and I visited this drive thru located next to Costco in Waipio and we loved the quick service and of course the holiday drinks. You can never go wrong with their seasonal drinks particularly the peppermint mocha which is among our favorites served hot and cold. The best part is the sharing. The service was efficient and very friendly. Will definitely return for another holiday round at this location soon!

Great service. Limited inside seating with 5 tables outside. Server noted that 80% of sales are drive thru since COVID. So they haven't replaced inside seating. We came to study and they were nice enough to turn the volume down on the outside music. Inside is freezing cold anyway!! :-)

This Starbucks is always busy. I ordered a Venti Strawberry Acia with Lemonade. The lines move quickly. The service staff is friendly and the drinks are just right.

You can either stand in line and order as before or grab a table, scan the QR code, and order and pay directly from your phone. We decided to try the mobile ordering option. I ordered the Original Acai Bowl. As always, the presentation was beautiful, but the acai itself was disappointing. Instead of the thick, spoonable consistency I was expecting, the base was more like an acai smoothie. If I wanted a smoothie, I would have ordered one. The toppings were great, but the consistency of the acai really changed the overall experience. Service also felt minimal. Since we ordered and paid on our phones and had to get our own water, the only service we really received was having our food brought to the table. We still tipped around 20%, but it didn't feel like the level of service matched the tip. Overall, this visit didn't live up to my previous experiences here. While I appreciate the convenience of the new ordering system, the change in the acai bowl and the limited service make me question whether I'll be returning anytime soon.

Love that they put the spice level beside each item for a heads up the staff here is nice and as they were more flooded with orders than I realized as they do take phone orders it did take a bit for my order. Since I was dining right there among the bench it didn't need to be separated and loved that it was served on a tray along with a side of kimchee yum the ramyun had a soft cooked egg and some carrots a nice and simple snack which gave me much needed boost though as it was basically no different than a bowl of instant noodle this was crazy overpriced and glad that I didn't get the soft tofu which was $13.50 which I didn't need that type of spice in my life. You can even make it a pre-Costco shopping delight stop. The menu is always changing but it feels like there's always something delicious to be had. My favorite is the Rocky Road where they actually add marshmallows on top and toast it for you. The Buttah Cakes has also been a recent gem that we've tried lately and it's absolutely delicious. Since it's freshly made, it's rich, creamy, and even a little scoop goes a long way. They even make waffle cones in store if you want to spruce things up for your dessert experience. The staff are friendly and handle rushes of customers well for the size of the shop. Let's just say this place changed A LOT over the past years. Service: 3/5 Waited about 5 minutes to get my order taken. There was a couple in front of me and the worker was chatting with them only. I was not aware of what she was doing until I realized I was waiting for a bit so I looked for myself and saw she was making a waffle cone. Would have appreciated if she told me "Be right with you!" She at least said thank you for waiting. Service used to be a bit more efficient from what I remembered in the past. While we were inside and eating our ice cream, 2 parties came in. They were waiting for about 3 minutes and I saw one of them looking around for the worker who went to the back. All we did was just shake our heads at this moment... Food: 3/5 Holy, these scoops though too. My sister and I paid $11 total for these tiny kid looking scoops. Ice cream tasted good but tastes mediocre now. I wanted a fruity flavor so I got the honeydew flavor that tasted like a melona without the stick. My sister's peanut butter and strawberry one was pretty good. However, I remember when they used to have flavors that I could not get elsewhere but it feels pretty basic nowadays. They give bigger single scoops at Baskin Robbin's for the same price or even a couple cents more. Ambiance: 5/5 I say there's ample enough seating and it feels clean and comfortable. I like sitting near the window but I just don't like that their one and only trash can is right next to that table. Verdict: I am not sure if I will be coming back. I noticed their flavors don't change as much as they used to. I remember being excited to see what's new but after today it seems like they been keeping things the same for awhile now. Between the size of the scoops, service, and the flavors I am not sure if I want to come back.
