I've definitely been coming here since the beginning, thanks to my mom! It's stood out from the very beginning & I love how much they have expanded. There's something for everyone on their men. I think they have some of the best matcha's around (but if you drink your matcha with LOTS of sweetener.. you probably won't like a real matcha from here) -- I say this bc people complain that it taste like GRASS... and well, it damn near is (green tea leaves) lol -- all jokes aside, their drinks and food are all hand crafted and all made and / or roasted in house! I have not once ever had a complaint about this place. I love the ambience inside and out. Plenty of spaces to work from (one of my fav spots) Service is always ask expected for hand crafted drinks and food! The workers are always very knowledgeable about their menu items & products, love that! Their pop tarts... if you can get them when they have them.. TRY THEM OUT!! Actually, all their pastry's and breakfast items are delicious! (I just always forget to take pictures) haha I will always come here for food/homemade pastries , a drink or to work!

You can pull up and park right in front on Court St. and run in because they have reserved parking just for pick up orders. The Avocado Toast is delish and my coffee is always a 10/10. Although they offer pastries, cookies, bagels, and breakfast items, I wasn't hungry, but I was definitely tempted. The cashiers were nice, helpful, and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they were doing. The coffee was really good, but what I enjoyed most was the atmosphere. The shop is in an old building with high ceilings and large windows. There are different seating areas with tables, couches, and large stuffed chairs, and the space is decorated with vintage items. As I sat there, I realized it is called "Mission Coffee" for a reason: everything sold at the café supports the Visalia Rescue Mission. There were signs showing the number of meals and showers they have provided. Along with having a really good coffee shop experience, it felt good knowing that my purchase was supporting a meaningful cause.

Interestingly there was only one employee working when we visited and I watched in amazement as she took orders and prepared everything. Our drinks took 25 minutes to complete and we were the first group in line. *Mochi Donut: there were seasonal flavors and the employee was kind enough to explain the different flavors as the names were a bit abstract. I opted for the spring donut which was white chocolate and matcha. The texture was the best I've tried. Perfectly bouncy in the center with a light exterior. It wasn't too oily nor sweet and the glaze was subtle. Despite the description, I couldn't really differentiate the white chocolate and matcha from a standard glaze. *Spring Fruit Tea: described as a passionfruit and rose tea. Disappointedly, neither flavor was prominent. The tea was steeped well but this was missing some brightness. *Creme Brulee: very sweet but fragrant. This was rich and milky with strong notes of burnt cream. However, we got less sugar for this and it was still too sweet. If there was an option to lower the sugar even more, I would opt for that. The milk based drinks tasted better than the fruit ones. If I was in a rush, I would stick to the donuts but drinks were pretty good if you don't mind the wait.

I got the "Hallelujah" iced coffee that has white chocolate and added Hallelujah cold foam. Best. Coffee. Ever. The building is gorgeous, inside and out. Love the decor! The ladies behind the counter were super friendly and sweet. There is even a beautiful outdoor seating area. Even ordering was easy! The kiosk had pictures and was very descriptive, which made choosing add-ons so much easier. The drinks were priced well. We purchased 3 coffees (with add-ons) for less than $22. They were absolutely sweet, super patient with us being first timers, helpful with the drink suggestions and amount of sweetness goes in. Unfortunately the coffee just wasn't that good enough for me to want to make the effort to come back. Ambiance is a small kiosk with two drive thru lanes that lead out into a road where people need to get through to go to the gas station and any local businesses that are nearby. If you don't mind sticking out in the road waiting in line for coffee then more power to you lol cause this place is always busy! Usual fair, white mochas, espresso, drip coffee and a small assortment of pastries to choose from. Side note: The cups have religious based drawings on them, so to anyone who might have a different viewpoint on that, maybe this place is not for you. But to everyone else, i would say if you're in the area and want to try something other than your normal chain coffee spots, give this place a go.
