Located in downtown Visalia, this coffee shop is located in one Visalia's oldest buildings. Very high ceilings with the original tall windows allowing plenty of natural light. Hardwood floors, plenty of tables, bars, and cozy places to sit. Mission coffee roasts & sells their own coffee and this place benefits the rescue mission. Lots of uplifting encouraging spaces from the wall quote to the prayer board. I ordered The Valley Fog. Love the name. It's a cold brew coffee with pistachio syrup & a creamy pistachio milk foam top that makes this The Fog. Tasty. Not very sweet, but it's creamy & flavorful. I also ordered a plain croissant. Service was quick and friendly. hours of operation are Monday-Saturday 7am-4pm. After your purchase, get a receipt to receive a discount next door at the Simply Chic boutique.
This cute coffee shop tucked away near downtown was the best stop to grab a coffee with some mom friends! I saw on their socials they had a blue coffee and had to get it, and it did not disappoint. It was just the right amount of sweet, a good caffeine kick and adorable too. My kid got the sprinkle cookie and it was yum! We wanted a croissant but they were out at around 10:15 on a Saturday! The workers were so so kind, I had no idea what the coffee was called that I wanted and they helped me out! I'll definitely be back, lots of space to sit with friends or family nice and quiet and friendly.
This is my go to study location! There's plenty of seating of various kinds, so it's a great place to study, meet up with friends, etc. The drinks are decent, I mostly get iced green tea with a different syrup each time. They also have pastries and cookies from another local shop called Bread Savage, and the lemon cookie was everything I want from a cookie! Unfortunately when studying last week, I realized after an hour that there was a dead cockroach by my foot, but cockroaches are common in this area, hopefully they aren't in the kitchen. Also, there's only one trash can in the whole place and it's by the front counter, I think they could use a second trash can by the door so people can throw away their trash on their way out.
Such a great coffee shop with a really nice vibe! There are plenty of tables to sit and enjoy your coffee or get some work done. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and most importantly, the coffee is delicious! I've been here a couple of times now, and the coffee has been consistently good every time. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to!
Fantastic coffee shop and glad there's another good option in the area. I enjoy Visalia and try to make my way out there at least every few months. You can find this gem right off Main Street where are all the shops are. Its visually appealing exterior caught my attention. This is also tied to the Rescue Mission which is an amazing non-profit organization that helps the less fortunate. The interior is even more beautiful with high ceilings, bright and airy feel, nice furniture and color palette. You just want to hang out here. Their thrift boutique is adjacent to the coffee shop and can be entered through the dining area. Love that they have 3 sugar free syrups: caramel, vanilla and lavender. I opted for the iced matcha latte with almond milk and sugar free lavender. It was exceptional. The pistachio latte, albeit very sweet was still good and I enjoyed the flavor profile. They bake their cookies while also selling from a local bakery down the street. (Bread Savage) The lemon cookie was super delicious. Tasted like a lemon bar. If I was more hungry I would try more items. If you're in the area, I recommend to stop by. The quality is notable and you'll be supporting their Mission-driven cause.
so delicious! the apricot toast came with cream cheese, apricot jam, and chopped pistachios. it was an amazing combination. it wasn't too sweet but it still was a sweet treat to start off my morning! however, i don't think that it is worth $7. the shop was filled with people, which surprised me as it was a weekday. this might be normal for this shop but i typically don't see this at other coffee shops i've been to. when i saw how busy it was, i knew this spot would be good! i came here to study. surprisingly the sound of everyone socializing wasn't a terrible distraction. beware that there are outlets to charge but not many!
This is a beautiful coffee shop with proceeds that go to charity. Its located right in the heart of Downtown Visalia. I am a tea drinker, and there was a great selection. My husband enjoyed his mocha latte. This is a fun and eclectic spot. The service was great. I'd definitely stop in again.
This coffee is bomb! The service is great! The ambiance is welcoming. There is a sofa and big chairs for lounging. People are here studying, working, and just enjoying coffee. For bevs we ordered the once upon a blue moo (5/5), the bees knees (5/5), and a chai latte with vanilla cold foam (5/5). We also snagged a salted butterscotch cookie (5/5) and a chocolate chip cookie (5/5). They also sell cute stickers, cups, accessories, etc.
Ordered my food and drink online, so easy. Food was done and ready for pickup exactly when they said it would be. You can pull up and park right in front on Court St. and run in because they have reserved parking just for pick up orders. The Avocado Toast is delish and my coffee is always a 10/10. And knowing that a portion of my money goes to support the Rescue Mission makes coming here even better.

Mission coffee is the best! Coffee is delicious, staff is friendly and bubbly, and there is ample seating. My favorite seat is right in front of the window. Huge plus on the sugar free options, especially sugar free fog top! The best! They have tasty cookies and croissants. I love the vibe here, and the music isn't too loud. Reading here was comfortable. I'd love to try their seasonal drinks. They all sounded so good. I will definitely be back. Coming really early is also a good idea if you want some quiet time. Thanks, Mission Coffee!
I found this place on Yelp with a high review so I wanted to give it a try. It definitely lived up to its high review. The staff was friendly and even had a nice chat with the owner! The place was bigger than I thought it would be and felt so calm. What I also loved about it was that they help out the local men's mission. I don't often see anything like that offered by a coffee shop. I could see where they get the name! My drink was tasty and unique. It made me think of Christmas and also camping.
I hardly visit Visalia but I was craving a coffee while waiting for my sisters appointment to start. This one was within walking distance so we said why not. Beautifully decorated and cozy bu enough for students or anyone to hang out. We got greeted soon as we walked in and the barista let us know if we had any questions and pointed towards the menu. For the lemonade you get to choose what flavor you want and my sister went with strawberry. I went with the vanilla latte with hazelnut and caramel. I absolutely loved my coffee, smooth and rich and none of that after taste bitterness. I'll probably cut back on the shots as it was a bit sweet. You also get the option for a 12 oz 16 oz and I forgot the last one. My sister loved her lemonade, let's just say, she inhaled it. Def recommend this place. Great customer service and drinks
The Mission Coffee Shop was located close to the hotel where I was staying, so I stopped in for coffee. Although they offer pastries, cookies, bagels, and breakfast items, I wasn't hungry, but I was definitely tempted. The cashiers were nice, helpful, and seemed to genuinely enjoy what they were doing. The coffee was really good, but what I enjoyed most was the atmosphere. The shop is in an old building with high ceilings and large windows. There are different seating areas with tables, couches, and large stuffed chairs, and the space is decorated with vintage items. As I sat there, I realized it is called "Mission Coffee" for a reason: everything sold at the café supports the Visalia Rescue Mission. There were signs showing the number of meals and showers they have provided. Along with having a really good coffee shop experience, it felt good knowing that my purchase was supporting a meaningful cause. read more

This coffee shop is a must if you are visiting Visalia! The matcha with strawberry on top was one of the best I've had! Everyone working there was super sweet and the inside is so cute and perfect to sit and work or relax. I would deff come here everytime I drive through, would definitely recommend!! read more

Ambiance is cool, very relaxed, faith based and old time vibes with all the vintage influences in the decor along with the thrift store there.. has become a favorite spot of mine on a quiet weekday morning. Coffee and the different types of toasts never disappoint. Yummy! read more

What a cool spot right next to the Convention Center. Their vibe is a local hip and trendy coffee shop, with books, merch, and little bobbles for sale. Plenty of seating and big windows make this a comfortable spot to grab a cup and stay a while. QR codes are placed around the area to make ordering online easy, as well as interacting with various adverts they have. I ordered the pistachio cold brew with cream. I was hoping for some food with protein options, but they're more of a pastry spot. The coffee came with their valley fog topping which is sweet but not too sweet. It's a great coffee and I'll get it again. If you're at the convention center and not interested in Starbucks, come on by! read more

Excited to be the first review! This place is adorable, right in the middle of downtown Visalia, and it deff has a great ambiance with lots of people coming in and out. I was able to try their bagels, which were fantastic deff hit the spot along with a great variety of drink selections-the only downfall was there was no butter after a busy morning. Coffee wise, I decided to try their famous Once Upon a Blue Moon, which is sweet and creamy with white chocolate. So good! Service was fantastic, super friendly and gives great Central Valley homey vibes. If you're craving coffee, meeting friends or visiting-this is a great place to stop by and check out! read more

Visiting from out of town and such a great place in comparison to the major chain coffee just across the street. Nice, modern and spacious. Serves a great purpose as it is run by the local mission. I had the Bees Knees latte and the apricot mascarpone toast. Both were perfect and not overly sweet like most breakfast items these days. If I was staying longer in Visalia, would have definitely gone back. read more

This place was amazing! The furniture and decorations were absolutely adorable, and the coffee was some of the best I've ever had. The staff all seemed genuinely happy to be there, which made the whole experience even better. I couldn't decide what to order, but the barista was so kind and patient in helping me choose. Everything looked incredible--and the best part is, it all supports a great cause! read more

Wow! My first time checking out the new coffee place in town, in the building that was once The Lunchbox. Visalia Rescue Mission took this place over a few years back and used both the Main St space and the back (Court Street) space for a used clothing store. There is a ton of seating - bar table, several wooden tables with 2 or more chairs as well as a setup with tall back fabric chairs. They have many custom drinks but I opted for my standard iced latte with almond milk. They were even able to do decaf. Food offerings included a few different kinds of coffees as well as a trio of bagel choices. I opted for a jalapeño cheddar. The crowd was a mix of college students studying, families and middle aged ladies enjoying coffee with their friends. The baristas were respectful and fast. Found a great new coffee spot. read more

This was my first time coming to Misson coffee here in Visalia! The cafe is so spacious with an abundance of seating and was fairly calm on a Wednesday morning. I ordered the once in a blue moon latte not knowing what to fully expect. Overall it's a beautiful drink and so different from what I've seen. The drink was sweet and had a sort of marshmallow undertone but unfollowed was not my cup of tea. Need to go again and try out their tradition coffee ! read more

First time over here. I enjoy visiting new coffee places. This one is special the openness and the many areas to enjoy your coffee! It's so inviting!! Walking around even going into the vintage store next door was an experience in itself! The flow of this coffee shop is so comforting! The service was great, I didn't even mind the cashier was training so she really didn't know the menu that well but the trainer did help. It was a nice experience! I'll be back!! read more

First thing I notice and love about this spot is it is prime downtown. Being a 'Visalian', I think that's a thing, anyway. I love our downtown. There has been so much growth and expansion. This spot is right there in the middle. The second I walked in I loved the feel of the spot. The decor is very cute, the vibe is very chill and the art work on the walls? For sale! It's such a fun idea. I also love how they pay homage to the Central Valley roots. The cute drink names and descriptions. You have the basics, the gentle tones of the pistachio in a valley fog or the honey of the Bees Knees. The staff is extremely friendly, the drinks are cool and coffee for a cause? Who doesn't love that. Mission coffee, as in Visalia Rescue Mission. A cause that's well known in our community to help aid with hunger, homelessness and addictions. You don't have to be a person of great faith just because this place is faith based. They are welcoming, cozy, and some comfy chairs. Also check out the cute stickers they have at the counter or the national park stickers as you walk in. I personally am a sucker for smoky bear and swooped one of those. Will be back! read more
