Great hidden breakfast gem located off the beaten path but so worth the find. Clean, simple and welcoming atmosphere with fast and friendly service. The menu is full of the staples and each of them is better than the next. Everything tastes fresh and home made. The chicken fried steak is one of the best u have ever had, the gravy that covers is it so good. My wife's chilaquiles were flavorful and spicy. In town to visit family and we decided to stop here for a breakfast. It's in a big metal warehouse type structure and is only open from 8am to 2pm. You wouldn't expect to have a restaurant there, but it's still pretty busy for it being in an industrial part of town. Ambiance - inviting. No frills. Clean. It's a bit of a wait, but they were busy so I can understand. My food was a little bit cold when I got it, which also contributes to the rating, but it wasn't too bad. My husband got the eggs Benedict, and I got the special which was a Ribeye Chilaquiles. He had no complaints about his food. It was good. Everything on my plate was good as well but could have used some additional salt on the green salsa. The potatoes were the best part on the plate. After a more lengthy wait than the hostess said it would be, we were seated after 2 other parties that arrived later than us. One party that was seated before us, that arrived after us on the wait list, were clearly locals as they knew their server by name, which was upsetting seeing as we were from out of town. Other than that the visit was exceptional. They offer a wide range of different foods in their menu as well as offering alcoholic beverages. We ordered the chorizo burrito as well as the vanilla pancakes and it was great. The ambiance from the outside is 100% industrial, but the inside is like an old school diner, very unique aura. So... I'm a bit of a Chicken Fried Steak aficionado. I've had many. I've rarely had CFS that met my standards though. Most, but not all of the good ones were in the South, especially Texas. I just had one that exceeds my standards though. The best Chicken Fried Steak I've ever had comes from an unassuming cafe in an industrial part of Visalia, CA. This one was perfectly cooked and seasoned, nice and tender, with the lightest and airiest crust I've ever experienced. The gravy had the perfect consistency and salt level, while carrying more peppery heat than I'm used to seeing, but which I found delightful. The one thing I'll change next time is to ask for no green onions. Cynthia had a Breakfast Banana Split and loved that too. Table 57 replaced the previous "The Cafe," where I had previously experienced one of the best CFS back in 2018, and which was "Tommy's Cafe" before that. Table 57 has an unusual location in a commercially/industrial zoned area, like where you might get your chain saw repaired or buy bark mulch. The inside is clean and bright. I had iced tea and huevos rancheros. Delicious with big home style potatoes. I am not normally a fan of stacked food but the stack let all the flavors permeate. Quite good! Normally, the breakfast/brunch menu is what I've eaten and it was great but I went for lunch recently. The food took nearly 40 minutes to come out. The chicken sandwich was not edible. I don't know if someone in the kitchen was new but it was extremely overcooked and so salty I couldn't continue after two bites. They were out of french fries and chicken fried steak. Took my daughter to Table 57 for breakfast on Sat., 9/13/25, but wasted a full hour waiting for our order ww were never served. It was 30 minutes after placing our order before a waitress informed us their kitchen was short staffed. I wish they would have communicated this to us before seating us, we would have gone elsewhere. 50 minutes in we asked if our breakfast would be coming out soon and advised them we would be leaving if we didn't get our order within 10 mins. At this point, the waitress should have just said it's not going to be out in 10 mins., so we could have just left. At the hour mark, we did just that, because we were hungry and we had other things planned for the day. (We did tell the waitress we were leaving.) Disappointing first impression. It didn't indicate it had habanero. It took 23 mins for his replacement; which we had to go find somebody to fix it. Great lunch in the industrial part of town near the airport. We flew into the Visalia airport & the staff recommended Table 57. So many tasty things on the menu. I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich which was large & delicious. My friend got the Turkey Wrap which was also large & tasty. A friend ordered the country fried steak as suggested by waiter. It was so chewy gummy and tough she couldn't even finish one bite. Big disappointment. Both of our meals came cold. Oh my word! Table 57 is incredible!! In short, the jalapeno grits and the sweet potato fries were single handedly the best of each that I've ever tried. I'm not a huge sweet potato fries person, but WOW these were incredible. I would not have come here based on Yelp reviews, but I'm so glad I did when a friend who lives locally recommended this place. We shared the tri tip breakfast plate with a side of sweet potato fries. This was definitely enough for two people. The tri tip had a jerk-esque seasoning and was good but it was on the drier side. Not sure if I would order the tri tip again, but I could eat the jalapeno grits and sweet potato fries over and over again. The fries were incredibly crunchy and soft on the inside. The service was quick, and our server was friendly. The restaurant is in an industrial complex so it's hard to find from the street, but it's not difficult.
