The service is good, the prices are a bit spendy, and the food is just OK. To be fair, they have an extensive Asian menu, which I have not chosen from. I had breakfast. The eggs were smaller than the extra large I buy for the house, and the hash browns were a small portion. That being said, what I ordered was cooked fairly well. read more

My friend and I came to Exeter as a middle point between the Bay Area and la. We had no idea where we were going, just that it was a random town about equidistant between us. To be honest, we were expecting much in Exeter. I was hesitant to order Thai food, but I was feeling cravings from when I worked in a Thai restaurant owned by young Thai people. As soon as I placed the call, I knew the food would be good. The kind owner is Thai. I ordered Tom kha shrimp, chicken satay, and the cashew stir fry with tofu. It was so good. I ate everything! The decor inside is old diner. I would absolutely come back. read more

We visit this establishment at least once a month. The owners are cordial and treat their loyal customers with the best service and food that money can buy. I hope more people go visit them and try out their food. As like the name they serve both American and Far East cuisine, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also carry a variety of baked goods like pies and cakes. I love their cheesecake, but they haven't had it lately. read more

Soooo yummy! I didn't catch our waitress name but she was so caring an amazing their customer service is 10/10! We got the breakfast pork chop (split between 2 plates) and i think she hooked it up for my boyfriend and I. My mom got the pineapple fried rice and it's to die for so unique and tasty we added pork to it. Lastly, my sister got the chicken fingers (not the best it came with 3 pieces) but overall this was the one of the highlight of our trip... 1st one is going to sequoia national park. The area of the place was clean, it reminds me of a very homey diner! There menu options was AMAZING so diverse you'll defiantly find what you want. We didn't have any wait time when we came and got seated right away and food came out pretty fast too. I really recommend trying this place out and wish we had it here in vegas!! read more

First time here after passing by in curiosity for years. The wonton soup is surprisingly so flavorful I would stop by just for that if I was wanting a warm flavorful soup. Nice service, clean restaurant. The menu is west for the first half and East on the second half. From burgers, to fettuccine to curry. I am definitely intrigued enough to come back and try some other items on the menu. They also have HOMEMADE pies for your sweet spot. Stop in check it out! read more

My family and I were on a road trip and we decided to stop by this place to eat dinner. They have a great selection of dishes where there is a lot of American and Thai dishes to choose from. The staff seemed awkward at first but they were nice. My mom ordered an eggplant dish, my dad ordered a fish and shrimp skewer dish which comes with two sides, and I ordered the shrimp pad Thai. I asked the waitress if they would be able to not include peanuts within the pad Thai since I'm allergic to peanuts and she told me they could do that which was nice. My sister ordered a breakfast dish which consisted of French toast with scrambled eggs and sausage. Overall, our meals were pretty good and we all ate our meals really fast I guess. Maybe the portion sizes were smaller than that we were used to in SoCal lol, but the we enjoyed our time there. read more

Take out due to COVID-19... not busy so food was made fresh. Hotel was 3 minutes away and food was cold already. Spring rolls were slimy and sticky, fried rice was pasty, chicken pad tia tasted like old fish water and wonton soup was a large bowl with 3 won tons and a bowl of cabbage water. This was the worst take out I have ever gotten. Price was horrible... we went to Mc Donald's after paying a fortune for to go. Would have sent food back if we had dined in. LOL! The server was so funny... I was on a camping trip with my friend and his best friends + girlfriends and we were on our way back to the valley and ended up stopping here. I had no idea at first because I was sleeping and woke up to a restaurant in the middle of nowhere. I looked really bad... and ended up wearing a eskimo jacket ... with the hood on the whole time. The seats were comfortable and the place looked a bit old but somewhat busy. The people I were with were commenting on how the server was really friendly and they haven;t seen someone like that before in a restaurant. I have seen those kinds of people before. Anyways, one of the friends saw a sign on the window about a special and 4 of the people ordered the steak or porkchop special one one of them had an additional gravy biscuit. I ordered the eggs benedict because I tried a bite of my friend's one time somewhere else and felt like eating it. I am not a big fan of ham because of its saltiness and texture although I loved the English Muffin + Egg + the hollandaise sauce read more

AMAZING! DELICIOUS! great price! (and totally unexpected!) I have a friend who lives in Exeter who recommended we eat here once, and ever since, whenever we are back we try to make a stop in. Their menu is extensive, now usually in a restaurant where they have a menu that is multiple pages, quality goes down. Basically the mind set is usually, have a smaller menu and perfect those items. Here however, they have a huge menu and quality does not seem to be effected! The last visit we had, I went with my husband, my mother, and an older friend of the family. We literally ordered food from 4 different countries...3 continents even. The older family friend had a veggie burger (north american) my husband had Chicken Parmesan (Italy/Europe) I had Thai (Thailand/Asia) and my mother had Chinese (China/Asia). Every dish came out really close together, within 3 minutes total to get all the dishes served. And not too long a wait either, 10-15 minutes tops. Anyway, each dish was amazing! and its like this every visit! Who ever the cook is has amazing skill. I definitely think this place is worth the stop if you're in the central valley! So amazing! read more

My husband ordered fried chicken with mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. The fried chicken' s batter was soggy, the mashed potatoes had a film on then like they were old, and the mac and cheese was craft. I ordered the cheddar bacon burger. Fiancé & I went this morning & it wasn't busy which was probably the best thing about our entire experience with this place. I ordered French toast, with scramble eggs & bacon with a side of potatoes... my plates come and the first thing I see is a hair on my bacon & my eggs looked orange, I was immediately disgusted with the hair so I removed the bacon off my plate and didn't touch it, went to eat my hash browns and they were freezing cold, the only thing I ate on that plate was a couple bites of my French toast & that wasn't even that great. She came up to the table and asked me if I wanted a refill ( my cup was still half full) and I said yes please I'll take more rootbeer... brings my cup back with dr. Pepper‍ I would not recommend this place, the price you have to pay for the quality of the food is something I won't waste my money on again. read more

Not many choices in a little place like this, but saw that they had some asian twist to it so wanted to try it out. unfortunately all the asian food were too pricey so just ended up getting the breakfast special. If you plan on eating here, make sure you are not in a rush to go anywhere because it takes a long time for them to bring the food out, I'd say at least a 40-45 minute wait. Not sure if it's just short staffed or what, but there weren't that many people in the restaurant. The food was pretty good though, they cooked the porkchop pretty well, and eggs were fluffy. Good portion for the specials so I would recommend checking those out. read more

I've been coming here since I was a kid, long before I knew anything about food writing or nostalgia. Back then, it was just breakfast. Now, it's memory. Walk inside and you're greeted by a world built from the bones of The Dukes of Hazzard. Walls lined with memorabilia, old merchandise, photos, and relics from a show that celebrated mischief, grit, and Southern charm. It's not decoration, it's identity. Boss Hogs feels like the kind of place Bourdain would've wandered into on a long road trip, looked around, and said, "Yeah... this is America." For years, I stuck to the chicken fried steak, the dish that raised me. Crispy, tender, honest. The kind of breakfast that doesn't need reinvention because it already knows exactly what it is. But lately I've been exploring. An omelette one week. Dinner the next. Boss Hogs serves dinner now, and somehow it fits, hearty plates that taste like they were made by people who care more about feeding the town than impressing outsiders. Today it was corned beef. Surprisingly good corned beef, salty, warm, comforting. The kind of dish that reminds you why diners matter. They're not chasing trends. They're feeding people. And Boss Hogs feeds its people well. They've always had those little touches that tell you who they are: a variety of creamers, jams lined up like tiny offerings, toast that somehow tastes better here than anywhere else. The staff is the kind of crew you don't forget, friendly, familiar, and deeply woven into the community. Police stop in. Firefighters stop in. Locals stop in. Boss Hogs is one of those rare places where everyone is welcome, and everyone is fed like family. In a small town like Farmersville, a diner like this shouldn't be a hidden gem, but it is. People drive past without knowing what they're missing. They don't see the history on the walls, the pride in the service, or the quiet excellence in a plate of corned beef or chicken fried steak. Boss Hogs doesn't pretend to be anything fancy. It doesn't need to. It's real, and that's enough.

The chips and salsa were the best part of the entire visit. The salsa was full of flavor, full of aroma, with a spice that hits and fades just right, pulling you back in for another bite. I'd buy a tub of it without hesitation. I saw a daily special, two enchiladas with rice and beans, and ordered that along with a strawberry wine margarita, mostly out of curiosity. When it arrived blended, I expected a sangria‑tequila hybrid. Instead, it tasted like nothing. Just cold, blended liquid with no real identity. Before I could figure it out, the food hit the table, fast. Less than five minutes. The rice and beans had no flavor. Salt helped, but only a little. The tiny salad on the plate didn't add anything for me. But the enchiladas were solid. I got them with ground beef, and the red sauce was flavorful, the beef seasoned well. Pico de gallo on top isn't my thing, but once everything blended together, I ate it up. I tried the margarita again mid‑meal. This time I could taste a faint wine note, like a very light blended sangria. Not something I'd order again, but definitely an experience. Honestly, Vallarta shines in two places: the salsa and the enchiladas. If they ever decide to serve proper sangrias in a few flavors, I'd come back just for that, and a basket of chips with that salsa.

East Meets West is a Great place to go with the family. Family-friendly workers are really nice and they have amazing food they serve. Sometimes food takes a while but it's worth the wait that's how good it is. They usually don't mess up orders and they have it straight on what you asked for. There nice so they get good business because people like workers that are nice and have a good personality to them. If they dont act right they wouldn't have them working there because they have a big expectation on the workers and what they need to do. The food is really good. If the food wasn't good a lot of people wouldn't be going there. They go there for quality food and they get that from there. It's good because its all hand cooked by a chef so that makes it twice as good. Its mainly Chinese food but they make a lot of American food too. They always check up on you and make sure everything's ok with your food or if you need anything like a refill or something like that. read more

I am reviewing east meets west, i will start with the atmosphere: its awkward and nothing really works together and is almost uncomfortable to be in. next cleanliness: it all was relatively clean as far as i noticed, no complaints. Food, the asian food was definitely what they should capitalize on, it was rich and had many intense and interesting tastes. Sadly their attempt at "good hometown country cooking" is subpar, being bland and sometimes even soggy. On another note the server was pleasant to talk to and was quick with taking our order and quick with returning. In conclusion i would rate it 7 out of 10, it is a good place to go if you are going for their asian cuisine and don't plan to dine in.

We had the chilaquiles with steak, for my wife is a chilaquiles aficionado, the steak was cooked exactly as we wanted it, and the seasoning on the steak was simple yet exquisite. While the chilaquiles were some of the best we have had. We also had the pork chops and eggs, and the chops were cooked to tenderness and juiciness. And the toppings on the chops were fresh and complimented the chops nicely. We could tell all the food ingredients were fresh and reflected this in the flavor and quality of the food. I seldom finish hash browns on any dishes I order for breakfast food, and let me tell you, I licked the plate clean. The ambient in the restaurant was very quiet and homly. And the customer service was exceptional nonetheless. I wish we lived closer to this place so we could come back to it more frequently. If you haven't tried it, try it and you won't regret it. It is important to mention that one dish being ordered that we kept on hearing over and over was the old fashioned breakfast plate. Which I'm sure must be just as good as the dishes we ordered. We visited on a Saturday morning and had to wait outside for about 10 minutes before a table opened up, which honestly made sense once we saw how busy the place was. The food ended up being exactly what I wanted before a long day of hiking. I ordered the Breakfast Bowl, which came with a half order of biscuits and gravy, one egg, and two sausage links. The portion was perfect for me since I don't like a huge breakfast, but it was still really filling and tasted great. The service was excellent. Our server was super kind and friendly to me and my friends, and the whole experience felt very welcoming. It had that small-town breakfast spot vibe where it feels like all the locals come to start their day, and even as visitors we felt right at home. The ambiance really adds to the charm. The dining area is a medium-sized room packed with as many tables and chairs as it can fit, and every seat was filled. It felt lively in the best way and showed how popular the place is. The restaurant is also located at a small airport, which makes the setting outside pretty cool and unique. Overall, the food and atmosphere were perfect for a breakfast stop. That one meal kept me fueled through our visit to Sequoia including an 8-mile hike, which honestly surprised me. I will definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again.

Place was quiet, just a few tables seated with people and an empty room. Two servers, both very sweet upon entering and I was quickly seated and I put in my drink order. Don't miss the dessert case as soon as you walk in. As soon as I sat down, things kind of went sideways lol. I asked for a Diet Coke and I was brought coffee for the table. Ok, sure I don't mind a coffee, that's kinda nice. Then I placed my order "corned beef and hash with a side of biscuits and gravy", was told it would be an up charge; no worries. Plus I asked for my Diet Coke and it was good. They got the nice small crunchy ice! Jess got The King Waffle; comes with peanut butter, chocolate drizzle and bananas topped with whip cream and a side of syrup. Here's the thing, instead of biscuits and gravy, I got served pancakes lol. By this time, business had picked up a little bit so it's understandable she wasn't really able to fully stop at the table and just kinda drop and take the other food she has to the other patrons there. A few minutes later she brought the biscuits and gravy and was also kind enough to let us keep the pancakes, That was very nice of her. They were decent pancakes, very big and covered in butter and a side of syrup. If you love pancakes, you'll love these. Corned beef has was ok. It was the homemade style with chunks of corned beef, rather than the typical diner type aka canned looking version I love and genuinely prefer. Especially when it has a nice crisp on it. This plate didn't come with hash browns but it does come with eggs. I asked for cheddar cheese on top and they came out very good! Fluffy, pillowy, very nice. The King Waffle was thick! They do use crunchy peanut butter, Jess didn't know that, so it was a little off putting for her. We just prefer creamy and the fact that it added an extra texture to the overall flavor can be a hit or miss depending on who you are. The whipped cream has a coconut flavor to it, surprisingly nice. Towards the end of our meal, we had another waitress take over our table and she was also nice. She brought us a container, even went and packaged up our desserts. We asked for a cherry pie and a peach cobbler. Both came out to $8, both were not worth $8. We were given an apple pie instead of cherry, the pies crust was dry and dense. The filling was ok, but something started tasting off in the crust so I stopped eating. The peach cobbler had a phenomenal flavor from the peaches, but once we tried warming it up, something white and slimy was in the middle of it, so we threw that out also. $72 dollars for everything we got. I always say tip your staff cause they're the heart of your experience. They treat you good, you do the same. 15% standard but give you what you can. Overall, I think I'm ready to look for another breakfast spot. I gave this spot so much hype after my first experience. I thought especially cause it wasn't as busy this time, we were in for the best experience! That wasn't the case. I just don't see the justification to pay that much to eat here, when there's other locations that might give better quality and an overall better experience.
