We came on a weeknight for dinner. We were seated right away. We were given ample time to peruse the menu. My husband ordered the seafood combination while I ordered 2 steak and 1 fish tacos and a steak enchilada. My husband loved his order. I tried his fish fillet with some rice and it was sooo good! I loved my fish taco...my husband agreed after I shared a bite with him. I didn't care much for the steak taco and enchilada. It was a bit salty for my taste. I also ordered churros for dessert...yum! Our server routinely checked in with us which we appreciated. We wanted to return the next day but they were closed...what a bummer!

    Chilaquiles, delicious!

Not our first choice, tried to eat at Whistle Stop but apparently, they closed early today. So we opted for Vallarta. Prompt service from all servers. Couldn't decide between breakfast or lunch so I opted for chilaquiles while hubby got carnitas. My chilaquiles were probably the best I've ever had! So much flavor and just the right balance of spices. Hubby enjoyed carnitas and said corn tortillas were especially good! All servers were following COVID protocol. Cute outdoor patio. The only issue was there were a lot of flies but that's what happens when we gotta eat outside! Overall, wonderful food and great service!

Decent place with decent prices. Food is priced just like every other Mexican restaurant in this town. I Feel like the food could of been a bit better. The Pico de gallo was over powering the enchiladas I ordered. Rice was really nice tho but you can never go wrong with it.

    3 grilled chicken Tacos?! LOL

I purchased 3 grilled Tacos to go. I was disappointed in the price. 3 grilled Chicken Tacos "just chicken and cheese" the bill was $13.36. Very disappointing! Is it any wonder there is a TACO BELL ON every corner? WOW!

The Chile Relleno in Salsa Ranchera is my favorite!!! I get it everytime. I walk out with a smile on my faces

Love the chili relleno, this time got the beef enchilada and chicken sopito. The sopitos are always tasty, but the beef enchilada was probably the best enchilada I have ever eaten! And I'm usually a cheese enchilada girl! LOL

From the moment we walked in, Pamela greeted us with a big, warm smile that instantly made us feel welcome. We couldn't help but notice the Mexican candy at the counter (impossible to resist!), and the restaurant itself was beautifully decorated with a great ambiance and lively Mexican music playing in the background. Even the bathrooms were spotless, which always says a lot. The service was amazing throughout, and Pamela truly went above and beyond to make our experience special. The chips were flavorful, and the salsa tasted fresh and homemade, such a great start. We ordered nachos as an appetizer, and for our entrées we had an enchilada and chile relleno with rice and beans. The chef was definitely generous with the cheese! We also tried the Cabaña, and the carne asada was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. To top it off, the hot chocolate was perfectly balanced not too sweet, not too bland just right. We highly recommend this spot if you're looking for authentic, delicious Mexican food with excellent service. We'll definitely be back!

The restaurant was closed at the time as it was night time, but we were attracted by the bright lights of the food truck! We enjoyed the tacos and horchata and have been raving about it since. Knowing we'd be in the area once more on another sequoia trip, we knew we had to re-visit. Our Airbnb was located in Visalia and it looks like they have another location there as well, however, after calling, I confirmed that it isn't the exact same menu and it's owned by different brothers. Knowing this, I knew I had to go back to the exact location we went to last. This time around, I opted for 2 carne asada tacos and 2 Al pastor tacos. The tacos each come with raw finely chopped onion, pico de gallo and guacamole, with perfectly grilled onions and jalapeño on the side. The carne asada meat was perfectly cooked per usual and it had a delicious smoky flavor and the al pastor was just as delicious! Horchata - not too overpowering and perfectly sweetened. If I ever find myself in central cali, I'll be back in a heartbeat! Also, please note that the truck names tacos way is the same exact food as the restaurant called Los arbolitos, the restaurant just has an expanded menu.

With the reviews on Yelp and the recommendation of our Air bnb host, this was a "must" during our visit. Nice decor and ambiance upon entering. Had a musician playing clarinet, which was beautiful. Unfortunately, we did not even eat here. As I stated, we had been at an outdoor convention- we were in nice jeans and ballcaps. This restaurant was not "suit" fancy, but we may have appeared underdressed with our ballcaps. Honestly we don't make a habit of dressing down and are usually overdressed lol. We felt judged the moment we walked in. They asked if we had a reservation. We did not but we were still sat. There was a wine tasting going on and we were asked if we would like to participate. We politely declined. The vineyard owner came over and talked to us. I politely declined again. The waitress never returned for over 10min. We hadn't even been asked about any other drinks, appetizers, specials of the house, nothing. The menu had some amazing dishes and appetizers that I am sad I wasn't able to try, but if you're going to make me feel less because I didn't have an opportunity to brush out my ponytail and change my shoes, then you're not deserving of the money we were planning on spending in your establishment. These Texas ranchers were very unimpressed
