Today, August 28, I placed an order at 8:22 p.m., and once again, I had a bad experience with the night shift. This is not the first time I feel like this shift does not make an effort to prepare the drinks the way I order them. I ordered a Venti Iced Matcha Latte and paid an additional $2 for extra matcha. However, the drink ended up being practically the same color as a regular matcha, so it clearly did not look like the extra matcha I paid for was added. I also ordered 3 pumps of vanilla, but I was never asked if I wanted to remove the classic syrup. In the end, they did not add the classic syrup either, which is something I feel they should have confirmed with me when preparing the drink. On top of that, the girl who helped me at the drive-thru window was quite rude. I understand that everyone can have a bad day, but this has become a recurring issue with the night shift, and I really hope more attention can be given to both the quality of the orders and the way customers are treated. And yes, I'm upset because I paid around $11 for this drink, and I'm honestly tired of the quality of my order always depending on how the employee feels that day. Stopped for what we thought was going to be a 5-10min stop but turned in to 30mins! We did an online order and waited inside then after like 15 minutes then went up to ask about it, mind you there was no one in the drive thru and there were four people standing doing nothing. And when I asked She went and saw the tickets just sitting there then started and was not friendly at all being rude. Very polite and courteous, and also made small talk with me while my drinks were being prepared. I looked inside and it appeared that everybody was in a great mood! I went to get myself a coffee and I asked for a brown sugar shaken espresso with light ice. I received my coffee with lots of ice and was not filled all the way so I returned back my coffee and explained what was wrong with it. An associate named Brooklyn was giving a big attitude while remaking my coffee. She was making gestures, raising her hands shaking her head and laughing like it was a joke. After she finished making the coffee Brooklyn said "Oh it's just a little shaken" sarcastically. I tried it and it tasted horrible. It tasted water down no flavor and the coffee tasted burnt. I went back to Brooklyn and told her I want a refund so she went to her supervisor and told him the situation and she was laughing at the same time. Went through the drive through and mentioned I wanted whole milk caramel brûlée with blonde espresso. Received a triple shot caramel brûlée with oat milk. Due to an oat allergy, the drinks must get remade, but the lady remaking the drink made it feel as if it was my fault for the drinks. No biggie. But after receiving the drinks, they used the SAME cups with oat milk. I only know this because the lipstick stain was wiped off and it still has the previous order on the cup. This Starbucks is the most convenient for me on my way to work, but unfortunately, convenience doesn't make up for the consistent mistakes. Out of all my visits, I can honestly say that maybe 50% of my food or drink was prepared incorrectly. I stopped going for a while over the summer of 2024, hoping things would improve. Recently, I decided to give it another try and had my husband order me oatmeal and a yogurt parfait through the app. Once again, they failed. The yogurt was outdated, the container looked damaged, and the granola was stuck to the lid in one clump. When I went in to return it, the manager (I forgot their name) just said, "Oh, sorry, that was our last one." So I asked, "So you gave me the last one that should've been in the trash?" This isn't the first time I've had an issue. Over the years, I've received blueberries with mold, a breakfast sandwich that was only half-heated, missing egg bites from my bag, and my coffee made with regular milk instead of soy. All of these were app orders, and it's beyond frustrating. I'm over it and done with Starbucks at this location--again. Maybe not all locations are this bad, but for sure, this particular locations in Temecula is horrible. read more

I want to start off with the fact that I'm not one to leave negative reviews frequently. I'm literally gen z and work in the customer service industry myself. So the fact that I feel the need to do this speaks for itself honestly . I've been coming to the Starbucks intermittently for the last six months. The service was always good not great but now, it is bare minimum at the absolute best. I mean it when i say that i've never dealt with such a rude collection of staff. When you roll up to the drive-through window nine times out of 10 you're being told "anything else?" before you're even done saying the name of your drink, and "first window" before you're done saying "that's all, thank you." when you get to the window, it doesn't matter who it is, they take your payment without a word. they hand you your drink without a word. and God forbid you ask for a receipt. Like why are they so standoffish? My last visit was the icing on the cake because I literally had my debit card snatched out of my hand and handed back to me all without an utterance or a smile. A smile goes SUCH a long way in this industry. and word to the wise: if it's bothering a 20 something year old who is very much not a karen, there might truly be something wrong here. I would never leave a review for Starbucks because I love their coffee but this store needs to reconsider who they hire. Clearly, from the other reviews there is an issue with the staff at this location. I ordered from the online app today at 7pm. I went to pick up my coffee and of course, the front doors would be locked with no sign. There are 3 people inside just standing there, talking. I didn't want to be rude and knock so I stood there and waited. All 3 employees just stared at me, started laughing and 1 walked to the back. The other 2 just stared at me. Then I proceeded to knock. No one came to the door. I checked the time on the website and on the app again, the store doesn't close until 10 pm. I called about 4 times before 1 of them decided to answer the phone sounding annoyed. I told them I ordered my drink online, paid and was coming by to pick up my drink. They told me to go to another store because they were closed. There's an issue with the drive thru so they closed the entire cafe? Okay, that's fine but what really irritated me was the laughing when I was at the front door. The least they could do is either put up a sign OR at least greeted me at the door and tell me they were closed due to technical issues. What really made me upset was the fact that they were laughing at a customer for no reason. I'm sorry but am I stupid because their website says their open when their not? I always stop at this Starbucks coming and going to Harrah's Southern California at Valley Center. It is reliable and consistent with what I come here for, coffee, especially the Dark Roast if I get here before 10:00 or 11:00 AM. The service is more than acceptable, and the lines are never too long. I don't [ever] go through the drive-in here or any other Starbucks because I like my coffee with an exact amount of cream. Generally, I stop and continue to Harrah's, so there's not much else I can say other than the coffee and service are reliable, no fuss, no muss. Not made properly I went to this location with my friends and she ordered vanilla bean frappe with extra purée, and I ordered a Carmel Rubin crunch. They put all of the purée on the bottom not the top like she asked, and put all of the Carmel on the bottom of my cup. it still tasted somewhat good. Live right by this and have been ordering coffee here for years. Make sure to taste your coffee before leaving. For some reason every time i order an iced coffee with vanilla, they either don't put the vanilla in OR sugar free which I'm super allergic too. I stopped going here because of it and every time i come out of necessity since it's so close, (hoping they can make this insanely simple drink) it's wrong. It's pretty telling that most of the 1-2 star reviews for this store come from some of the most entitled people you've ever seen complaining over the most insignificant first-world problems on Earth. Oh no, the store that was clearly closed and had it's doors locked was actually closed! The *horror*! Not to mention the person complaining about masks (which always comes from the types of people who like to say that they'd take a bullet for this country but for reason can't be asked to take a needle for their neighbors). I've been coming in for a few months now and the baristas here have never once treated me with anything but kindness, respect, and generosity. I've brought in board games and played for hours without a single complaint or side-eye, bummed enough free wifi to hit max rank in Dead by Daylight, and ordered enough drinks to gain at *least* 10 lbs at all hours of the day and received nothing but smiles the entire time. The people working here are some of the kindest human beings I've ever had the pleasure of meeting, and have given me nothing but peace and love during a very rough time in my personal life. Do not go to this Starbucks! They are not customer friendly. Every Starbucks I go to I've ordered a venti Frap for my girls to split. They were not able to split the into two smaller cups. They handed me the drink with two cups and a cup full of whip cream for me to split and scoop the cream in to each cups. They had no response when I asked why they couldn't do it back there. Normally, this is my favorite store. However, the early morning crew they have working there lately are very slow. Yesterday at 5:45 AM the inside line was long and the drive thru line was so long, I skipped it altogether. But, this morning, at 5:45 AM, I decided the drive thru line wasn't too bad, only had 3 cars ahead of me. But, by the time I left there was a huge line starting to wind through the parking lot. And I saw what the problem was when I reached the window. The poor guy at the window was not only taking the orders, but he was also having to get the food orders ready, as well. I saw one girl with blonde hair in a ponytail that was refilling paper items and goofing around with all her co-workers. She got a breakfast sandwich and put it in the microwave and then proceeded to actually open the microwave door and whip out her phone and take a video of it! Then she starts laughing with her co-workers again. Then she takes it out and whips out her phone again to take a video again and start laughing with her co-workers again. All the while the poor guy working the window has 4 drinks backed up and 3 food orders ready to go. All this while that girl is playing around with her phone and taking videos! You know, going to a Starbucks that early in the morning, probably means we are on our way to work. We already have to deal with traffic and all that entails. We don't need to deal with people goofing off and making us late to work on top of all that. I've been going to this Starbucks since I moved here in 2006, but I don't think I will be going to this store again. I came in yesterday to warm up with a Vanilla Latte - and saw that this location still had the Chinese New Year gift cards (the SD locations I'd scoped out ran out a while back). When I asked the barista if I could just get the card, I was told that you needed a $5 minimum to purchase it. Begrudgingly, I paid up - then added the balance to my Starbucks Gold card later that night. (Yes, I've got a Starbucks Gold card... I'm a frequent visitor to the chain.) Otherwise, nothing wrong with the coffee. The place is a tad smaller than many of the other Starbucks I've visited over the years; perhaps it's because of the drive-thru area.
