After lunch in the downtown area of Spokane, we wanted to get some coffee or drink, then we saw this Starbucks. I didn't expect any different experience from this Starbucks as most Starbucks stores were about the same. We were planning to get some drinks quickly and leave, but we changed our mind. As soon as we walked in the store, the staff were very friendly to greet us. We then placed orders on our regular drinks. Then the staff asked me if I would like to get a mug or a paper cup. Mug?! Oh my goodness! I swear I haven't used a mug to drink coffee at Starbucks for decades. I do remember that when I ordered drinks at Starbucks back in late 90s, I was offered to use a mug if I was planning to drink inside the store. I don't recall when they stopped offering mugs, although most stores do have mugs on the shelves for decoration or for sale. In order to use a mug, we decided to stay here. There were not many seats in this store, but we were lucky to find our table immediately after ordering the drinks. The store is generally clean and well-maintained. When we were there, I saw them cleaning up after customers left their tables. We were able to stay here for nearly an hour to relax while drinking coffee and tea. The taste of the drinks was standard Starbucks, but the customer service here was excellent. read more

My usual stopover after a nice walk by the Riverfront. My go to place for a Mocha Frap but decaf version on a nice warm day. But on colder months I partake on their warm White Chocolate Mocha beverage. You can usually grab a seat although normally has people inside. Service is good enough gets my orders done while I take a break from walking around. read more

I was very concerned to see the amount of plastic trash that comes out of this Starbucks. I was watching the baristas make drinks (i used to be a barista myself) and I was horrified at a single barista throwing away up to 6 lids to get one that finally "fit". The barista would simply grab a lid and attempt to put it on the cup, if it didn't fit quite right the first or second attempt she simply tossed it. In the 5 minutes I was watching there were about 5 drinks made, and about 20 plastic lids thrown away. It's disappointing to see a large corporation such as Starbucks allow for such waste at a location. This should be addressed and no longer continue. The lids are the same, no matter what you tell yourself. read more

Ordered my coffee online and was walking over to pick it up and ended up having a scary man following me while hitting on me. When I got inside and was visibly worried and looking behind me the Starbucks workers took notice and asked if I was okay. I let them know someone was following me and the male worker went outside to check if he was still there. The scary man ended up coming inside after the worker checked and they engaged him while I made my exit. I really appreciate them being concerned and helping me. They have some good employees working here and the coffee was great as always. read more

the service was fine, except I ordered my drink with coconut milk and non dairy however there was still whipped cream put on my mocha, i shouldnt have to explain my personal health problems to a barista who got my order wrong in the first place. I work in a coffee shop and understand, however if someone orders a non dairy drink you should avoid putting whipped cream on the drink because it contains dairy. read more

One of the first places I came to while in Spokane was this Starbucks downtown. I had my favorite, a Venti Ice Matcha Latte with almond milk, since that was not available at the mini Starbucks at our hotel. Everything was great, service was on point, matcha was delicious. Every time I visit this Starbucks, I think it must be the holiday season, as that is when I'm normally here either getting a boost for more holiday shopping or escaping from holiday shopping. For my most recent visits, I had to hike over here from the convention center and the Red Lion. It really was a very short walk, but the lines were anything but short, particularly one morning when they were handling several dozen high school students. I didn't think to use the order ahead on the app, but this would have been the perfect day to do so. The baristas, however, did a great job of moving the orders through, and it didn't take too long before I had my drink in hand and was headed out the door, back to the convention. There isn't a lot of seating here, and it doesn't appear to be a place where the locals go to hangout. I do enjoy staying while I drink my coffee, particularly during the holiday season. read more

I went ahead and mobile ordered our drinks and it was ready in minutes. Seating is towards the front of the store, by the street, with the cashier at the back. Busy little place located across the street from Sephora, next-door to Lululemon, and they offer outdoor seating as well. read more

This Starbucks is perfectly situated for a break when shopping at Riverpark Square. We haven't been here for quite a time so we were a little surprised when we noticed the decorating overhaul that had been completed since our last visit. The decor is now more urban chic with a distinctive wood panel cleverly constructed out of two different woods, one blonde and one dark, depicting the Spokane skyline. And of course we must not forget the coffee which is, as always, delicious. Even though Starbucks is a chain, each individual store revels in its own charm. As usual, the coffee experience was wonderful. We left relaxed, rejuvenated and ready to find an eating establishment that will complement our morning's endeavors. Go Starbucks! read more

After the remodel this place reached a whole new level! The finishings are far nicer, the layout became a lot more organic. The movement of the "retail" area was a huge plus as it helps keep the line corralled compared to before. The staff is super friendly and makes a concerted effort to get to know the customers and engage in conversation. If you end up a regular, you will find yourself receiving an ongoing conversation from where you left off yesterday, which I find to be a nice touch. They also don't mind you staying and working for an hour or two, which I have appreciated multiple times. Parking is the only thing that is a bit of a pain for this location. Located right downtown, the traffic here is mostly derived from people who work nearby and can walk over with very minimal drive-in customers. read more

I was only here for an in and out mobile order pickup. The cafe was kind of dirty and really cramped. I could not imagine being able to get any work done here. Every table lines the path from the door to the counter...so there is a lot of bustle and noise going on. The coffee was as expected and ready when I got there. This is my go to coffee spot since I work downtown. The workers are quick, friendly, and remember us as we come in often. I also like this location because they have different products (cups, gifts, etc). They have products that no other Starbucks in town has. Be warned though, this location is small. Often most of the seats are taken by homeless people, so I don't recommend this location if you need a quiet place to sit or work. A few months ago, I was waiting for my drink, and a homeless man got upset about something and began throwing his donuts (from a box). The barista came over and put his hand on his shoulder and asked the man what he could help with. He talked with him, calmed him down, and helped him pick up the donuts. My family and I go to Hoop fest every year. We have gone and spent money in mobile orders time and time again. They are normally well prepared for the crowds and we don't ever have any complaints. This year, the first year back at Hoop fest all we wanted to go was order our usual orders, including two bagels. As we waited for our bagels *warmed* we watched customers come out with warmed food and pastries. When we were handed our bagels- they tried to give it to us without notifying us that they were NOT warmed and didn't give us any alternative options until asked. We asked them again if they could be warmed and we were told both ovens had "just" broke and offered no other option. Once we asked again what our options were for a refund, one barista asked us to wait in the long line (which we tried to avoid with ordering ahead online) so, we walked away with cold bagels and extra cream cheese we paid for, and threw away. This location has had some hit and miss Baristas, so I can't five-star Starbucks, but I certainly have to stick up for the Management and staff. Figured as a former Spokane resident and frequent customer of this location I should jump on what I imagine will end up being the bandwagon of reviews since some entitled man-child thinks every polite blonde that wears lipstick is actually flirting. I worked in Riverfront mall so I visited this location a lot. The baristas were always super friendly. Never once did I mistake that friendliness and professionalism for flirting. Even if I did (or if they were) would I have ever asked out an employee while they were at work because that is a really awful thing to do. If I had ever crossed the customer/service boundary in such a way I would expect the employee to assert themselves in whatever way they deemed appropriate. I would also expect the management team to keep both their customers and their employees safe. I applaud Starbucks and their management team for doing just that. read more

To constantly bring up the fact that he didn't immediately solicite sex over and over again is proof of his insecurity. Regardless of if he looked forward to a sexual encounter or not, the bottom line is that he made her feel uncomfortable. Also, to ask someone out on a date implies attraction and emotional intimacy. Recently remodeled, this is one of the best Starbucks in the Spokane WA. The staff is really friend, funny; the service is fast: and the atmosphere is great. Some great artwork decorates the walls, and it feels very open. Easy to enter, easy to leave, the Starbucks is definitely eager to please. read more

This Starbucks (SBX) is conveniently located across River Park Square Mall. You can walk across the street to grab your favorite caffine or sugar fix. During the summer days there is outdoor seating, so you can people watch. The inside is always full of business workers on the weekday and shoppers on the weekend. read more

Best coffee shop I have ever been to, I travel between Washington and California and am NEVER disappointed by Starbucks. Best place if you're looking for a quick tasty snack, and coffee, and very kid friendly. Starbucks is also the best hub for homework, (any kind of work really) and a good place just to meet friends!
