We tried 3 different meat pies and all were incredible, my favorite being the steak and ale. We also ordered the Scottish sausage role which by itself was fantastic but then the dipping sauce carried it over the top. I used to sell meat pies at various Scottish Highland Games and was delighted in the taste, quality, and presentation of our dinner. The hostess was incredibly kind and thoughtful. To finish it off the desserts were perfect. 10/10

We neglected to remember everyone's names but the servicewoman with dark hair and tattoos: so amazing, warm, and patient with us. The owner went around and checked in with everyone and she was so fun and made us feel really welcomed. Oh and, of course, the food and drink was fabulous. My friends and I haven't stopped thinking about the tea. Oh, my gosh. It was incredible. The scones were the best part for me. The croissant sandwiches were a little hard (literally) to eat but the cucumber sandwich was to die for. The cakes were delicious too! But I would've taken longer to enjoy them (and you should too because they're quite rich imo). The soups were incredible. No notes. Flavorful, appetizing, the perfect amount. My friends and I always love these kinds of things and for an incredibly reasonable price, you leave feeling comfortably full in a way few restaurants really take the time to ensure with their portions. If I wasn't graduating, I'd be here every weekend After this experience I know that I want to find little, perfect places like this for all my major holidays and life events because it was such a treat to share with the people I love. Edit: this review is long enough but I'd like to add that some people talk about the wait and to that I say that some healthy perspective is appropriate. This business is less than a year old at this location at the time of this review. I think they're doing fabulous and if the wait is in service to the quality assured in the product, I applaud that. Eat a cracker before you arrive or something and enjoy your party's company. The food will come. I promise.

Shortly after I placed my initial review, someone who doesn't live in the area posted how they didn't understand the "other reviews" (I was the only one at the time) because they come in all the time and the place is great. Yeah. They come in all the time. From the other side of Washington State. Hmmm, yeah, not a fake reviewer who probably are person friends of the business owner at all. Totally legit. Response from the business owner themselves elsewhere was flippant and sarcastic. And completely ignored my suggestion that as a place that sells food, they should focus on selling food that actually tastes good. I know, I am weird, I happen to like food that is prepared well and tastes good. I imagine this bistro is going to have the same bad luck as the last three ideas that didn't last very long here.

We also love the almond chicken and the lo-main noodles -- both are always delicious and consistently good. Another thing I really appreciate is that when we order to go, the food is always packaged well and never spills out of the containers. and I prefer the box instead of the back so that comes really handy. The restaurant is always clean and well put together, which makes the whole experience even better. Great food, great portions, and a welcoming place we definitely recommend! Great job guys... :)

We ordered the Vegetable Delight (stir-fry), Chicken Ho Fen, and Popcorn Chicken. Everything was delicious, and there was more than enough food to feed three people. For drinks, we got the Strawberry Matcha (without the foam), Oolong Black Tea with Sea Salt Foam, and Okinawa Milk Tea. Even after choosing "less sugar," the drinks were still a bit too sweet for my taste. The boba was also a little too cold and firm, which is why I'm docking one star. Next time, I'd probably order them with no sugar and give the boba another try. Overall, I really enjoyed dining here and would definitely come back!

I've been coming here for over six years almost entirely because of the vegetarian breakfast tacos…read more They were one of my favorite breakfasts anywhere, loaded with avocado, sprouts, pickled onions, dill, pickled radish, egg, chipotle sauce, and so much flavor. I happily paid around $20 because they genuinely felt special. Today I ordered them like I always do, only to discover after leaving that they've completely changed. They're now just egg, cheese, and chorizo with pickled onions. No one mentioned that they were no longer vegetarian or that the recipe had changed so drastically. As someone who doesn't eat meat, I had no choice but to throw them away, so I ended up wasting $20 on a breakfast I couldn't even eat. I'm honestly really disappointed. I understand menus evolve, but when a longtime menu staple changes this much, especially from vegetarian to meat, it should be communicated clearly when ordering or at least noted prominently on the menu. Beyond that, the new version just doesn't justify the price anymore. It feels like a completely different product, and unfortunately not for the better. This isn't meant to be a harsh review because I've loved Ladder Coffee for years. These tacos were genuinely one of my favorite breakfasts in Spokane, which is why this was so disappointing. I just wish the change had been communicated. Going from a vegetarian taco loaded with fresh ingredients to a chorizo taco is a huge difference, and I would've ordered something else had I known. I hope you'll consider bringing the original version back or offering both options.
