Went to celebrate a birthday. Table was set up lovely. The atmosphere was great. Party arrived at 6pm. Didn't get beverage for 30 min. Food was order, but didn't get it for almost another hour. Serveral people at our table had to wait an additional 20 min. 1.5-1.8 hours from seating to eating was ridiculous. The food was not that great either. I was excited to get scones only to be served two dry hockey pucks.. The $22 plate was ridiculously small. However, in was told the short rib was good. The drinks were good, but as a whole I was less than impressed. Service and timing was so bad I don't think I will ever be back.

My sister & I decided to check this place out. I had seen reviews on Facebook's Food Finder page for Spokane. I was also craving an afternoon tea like the kind had in England a few years ago. This place filled the bill! From the moment we walked in it was absolutely decadent. The place is elegant and lovely. The staff were all friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. I have to mention our lovely and sweet server, Elle. She couldn't have been more charming. We ordered The Royal Tea and it was everything we had hoped for from the Chilled Peach Gazpacho (heavenly) and Mango Mimosas to the wonderfully, crumbly scones and delicate sandwiches and finally the deliciously comforting tea. Do yourself a favor and go here as soon as you can!

It's so great to have a unique restaurant like Torra Tea in Spokane! I have been a couple times and although I still haven't had a "tea service" everything I have tried had been tasty! I've had the yummy soup, great entrees, lovely desserts, mimosas...everything has been wonderful. The ambiance is nice, the service is great and the owners are awesome.

Such a fun gals date spot. Super clean/modern feel with delicious tea and scones. Everyone was so nice! Definitely make a reservation if you have a big group and it's a weekend.

This was an exceptional experience. I came with my mom and two daughters to celebrate our 8 year old's birthday. I cannot overstate this-- if you are a fan of high tea, whiskey, and/or Scottish fare, this is impossible to beat in Spokane. Our server was so charming and kind- she informed us of the mocktail menu, which is still being crafted but does include n/a champagne and a couple of other super fun creations. The ambiance is sparkly good, exactly what you'd want if you are looking for a lingery, special experience with fellow tea lovers. We had the minted mushy peas and mustard mashed potatoes as sides-- after one bite of the potatoes I knew these were the best I've ever had. We also split a pot of the Golden Fire tea (heavy spiced turmeric- ohmygosh good). Since we came at lunchtime, we each got a lunch special- the soup and sandwiches for adults, and one junior version for our birthday girl. The soup we had was cullen skink (smoked haddock chowder) which came with a trio of tea sandwiches: cucumber, chicken salad, and I forget the third, but it was on pumpernickel. Friends, it was all incredible. The kind of rare occasion where we all got happier & happier as we ate and drank tea and kept saying to one another, "Can you believe how good this is?? Wow!" The smoked haddock soup was light-smoky-salty chowder goodness, with a bite to the potatoes and a light aftertaste, not too fishy at all. The big, beautiful croissant the chicken salad came on was light, buttery, and warm. The cucumbers were sliced paper thin, and had the nicest soft- salt experience to them. Our girl got a trio of tarts for her dessert: chocolate raspberry, lemon, and coconut strawberry. She refused to share, which is significant because that little girl is picky. Yet again, our server rocked it. She was funny, present but not pushy, knowledgeable, and gracious. We all loved her. I cannot WAIT to come here again when the weather's a little cooler and bring my tea-loving husband for a cozy afternoon together. They have nice big meaty plates for dinner which are guaranteed to make him happy, along with that beautiful whiskey selection. I'm just so happy, guys. One of those rare times when the reality was significantly better than the expectation, and the price was well worth it (I included a shot of our receipt, so you have an idea of lunch prices). The high tea is $$ but that's exactly what high tea normally costs-- it's an imminent birthday gift request for this girl! If you're looking for a joyous, delicious upscale experience, you've found it!

What a dream come true for Spokane! Every bite was both exquisite and delicious. The service was warm and attentive, presenting each course with care and efficiency. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing and elegant Afternoon Tea. I'm already planning my next visit!

They redid the inside and it looks really nice, really open, clean, and inviting. The service was pretty good, it was a little slow at first, but it picked up. The server was funny, engaging, and nice. She was working alone and doing what she could and she did pretty great. We only got drinks and the buffalo chicken eggrolls, but those eggrolls were delicious and enough to get us to come back again. We will definitely have to go back when we're hungry enough to try a full meal.

Totally bomb Asian fusion!…read more Becky and I were walking around downtown Spokane when we passed by The New 63 Social House and Eatery. The name is a mouthful. The food is awesome. We stopped to look at the menu that was posted near the entrance. The Baked Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls and Korean Cream Cheese Bread caught our eye. We were in Spokane visiting family and we had a function to attend, but knew we had to return to 63. I popped in to ask what time the kitchen closed. The two lovely young women behind the bar said 8:30. I told them they'd see us later. Upon our return we walked in and the two young women Ev (as it is spelled on the receipt) and Cyd welcomed us in. We took our seats at the bar and Ev took our drink order and brought us menus. After perusing the menu, we decided to pass on the Buffalo egg rolls and the Korean bread. Becky chose one of her favorite dishes, Kung-Pao. I went with the Bulgogi Cheddar Burger. I didn't even know what bulgogi was until l Googled it after I ordered it. It just sounded intriguing. Kung-Pao Stir Fry Plate: $17 chicken or beef, pepper, chili, peanuts, broccoli, zucchini in a spicy sauce. Becky chose chicken. She absolutely loved it. Excellent spice level, fresh ingredients, juicy and tender chicken. She really liked that they served the rice on te side. She could control her carb intake. Also it made for a much larger portion of the Kung-Pao good stuff. She loved it the next day for breakfast too! So did I. Bulgogi Cheddar Burger (with fries): $16 sesame bun, gochujang sauce, cabbage, pickled daikon, bulgogi burger & cheddar. I'm not even sure how to describe this burger. It was a little sweet, with a little heat. The burger had a slightly different texture than a traditional hamburger, but in a good way. It was so juicy, it was a get it all over your hands burger and it was fantastic! I could definitely taste the gochujang sauce and it carried a hint of sesame oil as well. I loved the pickled daikon as a topping. The Bulgogi burger instantly made my Top 10 burgers of all-time. Probably Top 5! EV and Cyd instantly made our Top 10 servers/bartenders of all-time. Probably Top 5! They were great! Cute, funny, engaging, fun. They really enhanced our dining experience.

Absolute pasture-approved excellence. First off, the name says 'Badass,' and for once it's not false advertising. Most places slap edgy words on the sign and then serve beer that tastes like somebody filtered rainwater through a flip-flop. Not here. The beer actually has personality. Bold flavors, small-batch attitude, and enough variety that even a 2,000-pound bovine with anger issues can find a favorite. The atmosphere? Perfect. Cozy, chill, unapologetically local, and zero pretentious craft beer nonsense. Nobody in there is trying to explain 'notes of elderberry with a whisper of regret.' They just hand you a great beer and let you enjoy life like civilized savages. Also, respect to the fact this place started as an actual backyard brewing operation. That's the kind of origin story I can get behind. No corporate boardroom. No focus-grouped IPA names. Just straight-up badass energy and good beer. Wanderlog And let me say this as "no-bull": if your brewery is dog friendly, has live music, rotating taps, and encourages people to relax instead of acting like beer sommeliers defending a PhD thesis... you're doing it right. Final verdict: 5 out of 5 horns. Would absolutely charge through a fence to drink here again." -Mad Cow
