Worst Starbucks customer service I've ever had. Very unpleasant interaction. The location on Gravenstein Hwy is much much better.

If I could give zero stars I would. The picture below is how I received my drink. This is not it sitting for 10 minutes, after I've taken a sip. No! This is exactly how I was handed my drink. It looks like someone already did drink off it. This also isn't the first time I've ordered a drink from them and been concerned about the drink I was given and tossing it. The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt that I got a bad coffee that day. This time, no no no. I definitely won't be drinking this. If you call their customer service line, I was given a refund and apologized to, but the damage is done on THIS location. It's lost my business for good. read more

I like this Starbucks, the wait is not as bad after the high school rush, avoid it after school and right before school, during the summer the rush is not as bad. Staff are always friendly. Best time to come is around 9am, they can not redeem any free drinks from the Starbucks app at this location and they do not offer mobile order pick up. Great selection of cups and it is clean. read more

I was here on Sunday afternoon and there was one person waiting for their drink and no one in drive thru. Four people were behind the counter, so why was I made to wait over 15 minutes for a MOBILE ORDER??! HORRIBLE SERVICE. This was not the first HORRIBLE experience I have had here. See I don't drink coffee so I don't come here often, but awoke this afternoon with a nasty cold, so I thought I would try you guys and grab some tea. The drive thru attendant was so polite! She listed every tea, including telling me what type (green, black, etc) and then when I told her I was feeling a bit sick, she suggested two more teas! The first a simple green tea with lots of honey (which I didn't take just because personally I don't like green tea) and the second a mix of their peach tranquility and citrus mint teas brewed with half water half steamed lemonade (delicious!) and lots of honey!! She called it their 'Sick Tea' On top of that when I pulled around to the drive up window she refused my card, handed me my drink and said "this ones on me, feel better." And she paid for my venti drink! It was an amazing experience and has inspired me to come here often. read more

They allow the majority of people ordering and waiting in line to 1. Cut people in line 2. Have their masks pulled all the way down-like almost everyone except me. I'm immunocomprimised and I've experienced this at the bigger Starbucks on 116 in Sebastopol. People sitting around on laptops-ZERO MASKS. I guess because they have a drink (that they aren't drinking-I was in line awhile)...they think it's fine. Definitely lost a customer permanently today. read more

I'm giving this Starbucks two stars because the staff are so great. But, the rest of the place is dark and dismal. The outside seating always seems to be dirty. What's with the bathrooms? I have to cover my nose with my shirt when I go in there. It doesn't matter which bathroom you use they both wreak something terrible. I've been visiting this Starbucks once a week or so for the past year and a half. I think the service is great. The staff are very friendly and polite, the drinks come out quick, and I especially like that they have more staff on shift during times that would be predictably busy. I avoid most Starbucks because most locations I've been to are short-staffed, and it makes for awkward ordering experiences. I also don't usually get drinks for myself (I pick up for my office mates), because I'm very particular about hot drinks. That being said, I want to give a shout out to Nicole for the delightful early morning service, and the delicious hot cocoa she made. Despite the fact that it was 6am, Nicole was very cheerful and efficient. The hot cocoa was very smooth and well blended. Overall I'm very impressed and pleased with the service I received today. I had an unfortunate experience this past Monday, when I stopped to order a Cold Blaster Tea. When the paper tabs on the tea bags fell into the tea, the young lady used her fingers to remove them. I asked her if she could make it over and not use her fingers. She replied, to my surprise, "I have clean hands"! I said it apologetically, and assured her it was not personal. I was beyond shocked at her response. She further decided to let a co-worker remake it for me. While they stood there quietly discussing why I asked for it to be remade, I simply decided to cancel the order. They acted surprised! All of this right in front of me, with no consideration at all for customer service. That was my first time at the Sebastopol Starbucks. I live in town and usually frequent Retrograde; when going out of town, I stop at Hardcore Coffee, both of which have excellent customer service and that would have never happened. I left Starbucks feeling like I did something wrong by implying the young lady did not have clean hands, no tea, and on top of all that she refunded me .50 less than what I paid. Precautions for Coronavirus is in our face 24-7; everyone in their right mind must know about it! What was so wrong about pointing out her mistake? I was quiet, no one heard except the 2 of us.....but I suspect, she didn't learn anything from her mistake. How sad! read more

Staff is usually pretty friendly! I can be indecisive at times and they're always patient and kind!

Normally it's a 4 or better..today wow they got it wrong. Paying attention to order in the drive thru is important ..there was no-one in it at order time..so no distractions...you have regular peach tea not some wacky infussion..also we should not have to ask for carrier or the little green sticks for the prevention of spills. Nice young man but come on ....i went thru the other morning as usual the young lady was on top of it all..keep her there starbucks. read more

The only barista is really trying but Starbucks, you need to put a 2nd barista here. This location is way way to busy for one barista, at least in the mornings. I would give this a 3 star rating but the woman behind the counter is really trying! read more

Worse Starbucks I have ever been to!! The service staff was walking around on their phones or chatting with other employees so much that they totally ignored me. I had pre-ordered and they did not even have it started. I waited about 7 minutes before I got one of them to acknowledge me. The girl looked at me like I was truly bothering her and then took another 5 minutes before I received my drink that once in my car I realize was wrong but at that point, I was not interested in going back in!!! I regularly visit this Starbucks as my son practices aikido at a local dojo. I'm continously impressed by their professionalism and personable treatment of the customers. It begins with the manager, who is a gem of a person, modeling attentive service with a sprinkle of personal chat. But most of her employees are the same: hard working, friendly (mostly) ladies. I don't think twice about taking my son to aikido twice a week. If I don't have errands to do, I always can do some work at the Starbucks across the street. read more

Hands down, This Starbucks hidden in Safeway Sebastopol, CA is the BEST! Great customer service and amazing flavor, right on coffee drink. I have been to other Starbucks in Sebastopol area along with one on Santa Rosa Ave in Santa Rosa, I always order a Iced Carmel Macchiato and when ordering from Other Starbucks in Sebastopol and Santa Rosa, they make it to milky with no coffee or carmel flavor, to flat or just coffee taste burned. HOWEVER! I found the place that makes it just right and great service, Starbucks in Safeway in Sebastopol, CA. Thank you Girls. Please keep up the good work. I ordered a mocha with soy because of stomach problems. The barista most definitely was paying more attention to talking to her regular customers and friends rather than focusing on making my drink, which was NOT made with soy. Every time I go to this location they are too busy talking to friends and regular customers and barely give anytime to the other customers. I don't recommend going to this location. Focus more on all customers and not just your favorites. Definitely won't be going back. read more
