I come here at least twice a week and order the same thing. Giselle is almost always there on the days I stop by, and she remembers my name each time (just from my order!) and asks how I am and how my day is going. Her kind and upbeat energy keep me coming back to this specific location. The drive-thru is usually very quick, and my order has never been incorrect, which I find impressive given how many customers they usually have. Their grilled cheese is also cooked perfectly, which I cannot say for many other Starbucks locations. We placed a mobile order at 2:48pm and it said it would be ready at 2:54. We arrived at 3pm and they hadn't started it, when I tried reading the other drinks the guy said "um those aren't for you." How was I to know? One barista was standing around while another was furiously working on multiple drinks. The cold foam just went right into the coffee (wrong consistency), and they were out of boba straws for the other drink. I am writing about the Starbucks on W Broad Street in Richmond Virginia. I have to be honest and say that my Steve and I never frequented a Starbucks before. We thought they were over priced. Well we still can't afford the drinkw but the food is surprisingly affordable and tasty. Between my husband and I we have tried the chocolate croissant, the brownies, the coffee crumb cake, the egg and sausage sandwich, the feta spinach wrap, and the turkey bacon and egg white sandwich. We also like the ham and Swiss cheese sandwich and the fruit and cheese. The staff is friendly and really care about what goes in the lives of their customers. There is a painting on the wall I really love. It depicts a jungle with an elephant and a winding path leading to a house. The only complaint I have is when there is a promotion offering a free drink, it has coffee. My Steve and I don't drink coffee. read more

Now THIS is a nice Starbucks! I usually feel like this chain has a cramped vibe, but not here! This is a spacious, airy space with high ceilings and lots of cozy seating. Simplistic but attractive seating and dècor. It's immaculate! Everything is in its place and even the necessary rooms are pristine! The aroma of fresh ground coffee embraces your olfactory glands and satisfies your java cravings! I love the pumpkin bread here and the seasonal scones. And yes, I'm a PSL fan, while typically I'm a tea drinker. I also was impressed coffee station which was stocked and tidy. The gift shelves offered a nice selection. Although it was a tad slow, everything else was on point! So, this Starbucks gets five stars. read more

This Starbucks is now to the west of Arboretum Drive and has a drivethrough and a patio area. We stopped in because my project manager needed his "Virginia" Starbucks mug and while we were here, we got our morning coffees. I chose the cold brew and it was surprisingly good. Clean tasting and ready for just the tiniest bit of cream to soften it. I enjoyed it a lot but there was definitely too much ice in there. Next time, I'll remember to ask for light ice which means more coffee. It was a super simple order and they were NOT busy just standing around talking and I still had to wait 15min for it. I understand workplace camaraderie but the staff was actually yelling in the back making it impossible to focus while working at a table. I made a mobile order this morning for some coffee and a item from the bakery. The bakery item was delicious but the coffee had a odd taste. I ordered a Tall Iced Vanilla Latte with light ice and with almond milk. The drink had a lot of ice and it didn't even taste like coffee. It tasted more like water with a bit of milk and sugar. This spot is the closest to my house AND just prior to the highway access... perfect location for me. This corner shop of the plaza is cute and a bit different from most typical Starbucks layouts. I like it! It's a bit larger and the seating areas are more inviting. I'll be stopping here often... unfortunately, I'll have to create a line item on my monthly budget. read more

I've been to this Starbucks at least 10 times in the last month, as it's right near my office and it is consistently one of the least attentive Starbucks I've ever been to. I consistently get my coffee back incorrect. I mean how hard is it to put sweetening syrup in an iced coffee, or to make a latte instead of a regular coffee? Service seems to be better in the evening, but in the mornings the lines are long, the orders are slow, and there's generally an pretty inefficient staff. It's nice that they talk to regulars, but when they do it and it slows down the line, or it causes me to get my coffee made incorrectly, it starts to bother me. I pass by two Starbucks generally on the way to work, this one and the one at Courthouse and Midlothian, and at this point I'll make every effort to go to the other one, where service is better, quicker and they get my order right. read more

I ordered via mobile- so I know there was no miscommunication. I really should have questioned the drink when I picked it up when it didn't have a tag on it and just had my name written (& misspelled). I ordered an iced tall non fat double vanilla latte. What I picked up didn't even look an iced coffee with cream. It was just brown. Not even attractive. Mobile order = tight schedule. I tried drinking this... Drink. Despite the 2 previous reviews, I really like this Starbucks. I live around the corner and come here frequently, either personally or by proxy (it's not always my turn to go!) The coffee is always good and the staff is always friendly and efficient. Maybe those previous reviewers calling it slow should get up 5 minutes earlier or go to 7-11 instead. These baristas are friendly enough to strike up a conversation and seem to actually care about their customers, which is a far cry from many other coffee places. read more

This is the slowest Starbucks. It's like the u.s. post office of Starbucks. They are unbelievably slow, talk to each other while the line wraps around the store, and it literally takes them 20 minutes to make a drink. Live downtown, but always make a point to stop by this Starbucks when heading to Midlo. Convenient location, friendly staff, on the smaller side of a typical Starbucks. Noticed a comment about the morning rush, they move slow. Most Starbucks and coffee shops in general are like that in the AM, especially the good ones. It's in a highly trafficked area Midlo/Powhite and it's not that big, pretty sure they can only have 2-3 people max working at a time. Good spot! Very quite! read more
