It gradually dawned on me that the barista had pulled a number of shots. I watched more closely. She was lining up cups of pulled shots. Some were double-cupped. So, maybe a huge mobile order came in just before I placed my order. But that process reminded me of a guy who ran the grill at a fast food place I worked. When the dining room was closed and we were just serving the drive thru, if a bunch of cars showed up at once, he would wait until the last car ordered before he put all orders on the grill. I always felt for the first person in line. Their wait was horrendous.

Reminiscent of that feeling when you came home and smelled fresh cookies or homemade bread being baked, it's definitely not home but it feels kind of like it. If you're looking for an alternative to Starbies and Dutch, Kaleidoscope is a fantastic choice. Fresh juices, great smoothies, great coffee drinks, and most of it's pretty healthy. The one employee was still wearing an apron that said Bober Tea. Their website (the Bober Tea website) showed a pandan drink that I wanted to try, but they no longer carry it. I wound up ordering a drink with taro foam that the self-serve kiosk said would come with fruity pebbles. When I asked the staff if I could get it without fruity pebbles, he replied that they stopped making the drink that way months ago. The interior had lots of empty space and not much seating available. There was a lip-shaped sofa that looked stained and entirely unhygienic, along with some swings that didn't seem very safely installed and were put up to prevent their use anyway. The donuts and drink were ok, but the rest of the business just seems like a complete train wreck.
