Great store. The employees are top notch. I was a Starbucks manager for 3.5 years who was sent to multiple locations as a "fixer upper." I have been here during extremely busy time and not so busy times. I don't usually have a regular shop. If I were, it would be for convenience to go to the one near my office. I take a slight detour to come here. The whole team is great, but I do want to shout out Bella, she's great under pressure, hard working, great attitude and customer interaction. Tony, Maddi, Gavin and others have also shown great work. I wish I could name every single barista because they all work great together. When very busy or when customers order their drinks on mobile minutes prior to arriving, please be a little patient, recognize their hard work and don't be afraid to leave a little tip. If I were still a manager, I would go as far as to say Bella would be a prime candidate for asst. store manager. Wishing the whole team positivity and success in all that you all do. All was fine and dandy as I arrived at this store and had just placed my mobile order. (Please check your cameras to verify my story.) I walked in and immediately took a picture of the merchandise (as I was in need of another hot/cold cup to keep in my car.) Then as soon as my hubs picked up the mobile order everything went to shit! This review is because of your HORRIBLE employee and to corporate for the idiot that designed this store. A front counter is exactly what it is, a front counter. If you never intended for it to be ever used as such, it shouldn't have been designed as a counter and placed in the front entryway. If a safe was placed there, again, sheer stupidity in your stores design. If corporate was smart, they'd move it to back of house, somewhere more secure like a locked back office. NOT under a front counter. Yes this employee was idiot for also announcing that! Yes I'm putting this store and this employee on blast! This employee made me feel so uncomfortable for "using" their front counter. The employee first started by hawk watching my EVERY move as I proceeded to use the counter and place my coffee and croissant there to take a picture and look at some merchandise (they had a really cute dog container, but it was way too small for my usual order). She's then proceeded to state, customer service was also part of her job... as she acted concerned... and asked if there was something wrong with my order. I responded no. I took my picture and then asked the hubs to grab the doggy bottle to look at. She kept staring me down, watching my every move. I had to ask "was I doing something wrong?!?" where she proceeded to tell me I couldn't use the corner. These are the reasons she stated... 1. Customers were NOT allowed to use the counter. 2. It was employee only area. 3. Her boss would get really mad at her. 4. A safe was placed under the counter, therefore I could not use the FRONT counter. If the front counter is NOT supposed to be used, why isn't there a sign stating such?!? If it was an employee only area, why is there not a sign that says that too?!? If it was NEVER intended to be used by customers, why isn't it blocked off with a countertop partition enclosing the area only for employees to use?!? Problem solved... a countertop no longer exists in the open where customers have access! Now that it's known a safe is under the front counter, I hope a decision is made to move it! Never have I ever felt so uncomfortable as if I were about to commit a crime. Like seriously, look at me, there are 103 Yelp profile pictures to scroll through... do I really look like a criminal?!? To the employee... let me know if you would EVER want to be treated this or feel this way regardless of the reason. It's NOT OK! I've been a loyal rewards customer since 2013 and buying Starbucks way before that! Im sure I'm not the first customer to use that counter and I'm sure I won't be the last. Your employees time could be better spent elsewhere instead of harassing customers using that front counter! Beyond shitty customer service!!! This happened on Friday 2/6 at 4:33 pm. Convenient location with friendly baristas. They are always professional and never let me leave the drive thru without my drink lid secured. They provide napkins and a straw whenever I ask without hesitation. My drinks and food are always made fresh and exactly how I ordered it. My all time favorite Starbucks! It is on my way to work so convenient but I drive to this Starbucks even when it is my off Friday or the weekend. The staff is always very warm and welcoming and always friendly with a smile. The drinks are consistent. This location tends to get pretty busy and parking in the immediate lot is sometimes unavailable but there is plenty of parking within a short walking distance. The store is always clean and has plenty of seating inside the store and out front. The staff is what really makes this one of my favorite places though!!! read more

Employee that took our order was not friendly, seemed like we were bothering her just by being there & spending money in this establishment. It was 4:45 on Tuesday, 9/9/25, employee had red hair, didn't catch her name. Our drink order was not correct so the gentleman that made it offered to make a new one for us & said we could keep the one that was made incorrectly. Red hair employee walks over picks up the drink & dumps it out! I'm just so surprised by this. Usually every Starbucks we go into, the employees are very friendly so it's kinda shocking when an employee is not. Nice Starbucks up here in Poway. I picked up a Caffè Misto and an Almond Croissant to go of course during this CONVID19 Pandemic. It was a very good misto made from their dark roast. It had a bold stronger flavor than their other roast, but it was smooth, certainly tempered down by the steam milk. I had them warm up the almond croissant which came nice in warm in the little bag they use. It was soft, tasty, and a little on the small side for a croissant, but it hit the hunger spot. I absolutely love this Starbucks. The drinks here seem to taste a little better than other locations. I'm not sure what it is but maybe it's the employee or maybe just the nature of this location. I especially love how they give my dog attention whenever we go to the drive-thru. They always give him the warmest smiles and greetings and they are sure to give him his pup cup. Not only are they nice to my dog they are nice to us every time we come here also. They always make sure to ask if we need straws. I've been trying there caramel crunch relay Cobra lately and it's really good here. I've had at other places but this place seems to give you more crumbles than the other. Plus this location is close to my work and home so I do freaking here often. Maybe that's why they know my dog. The inside is similar to other Starbucks and it's nice because it doesn't always get crowded. read more

I've been here about a dozen times, & I have to say their service is wonderful! There are multiple Starbucks in this area & on this street, so I have absent-mindedly ordered drinks to other locations while actually meaning to order to this one (ugh!). On 2 different occasions, the baristas allowed me to pick up my drink here instead, and were so sweet about it. Of course, I've since removed those other locations on my Starbucks app so I don't get confused again. What nice people! Recently I visited for their 1-2PM Pop Up event, and it was so much fun! Employees were non-stop making drinks, everyone was in good spirits, and there were even polaroid selfies getting taken of customers, lol. Thought it was crazy, it was pretty organized. There was a list of drinks included in the special & everyone had a smile on their faces. I mean, how could you not?! Free drink of your choice from the list??! Helllooo! I overheard a customer complain about a cakepop mixup, and an employee not only fixed it right away, but also gave her an extra one! Seriously, they are so nice here. Only downside is their selection of Starbucks merch is usually lacking. Your best bet if you're hunting for holiday cups/limited edition cups is to go to a Starbucks inside a Vons/Target. read more

There's a barista named Emily that works here...she is as sweet as pie and always has a friendly smile and greeting every time I see her. Never met an Emily I didn't like. Coincidence much, lol? MJ is awesome as well and is always full of compliments for newbs like me and their regulars. Note: there was one incident where a new barista would not give us our refills because we did a mobile order even though we picked up and sat there the entire time, eating our breakfast sandwiches along with our drinks. The manager quickly corrected her as we brought it to her attention and we haven't had an incident like that since. We've never had an issue anywhere else getting refills so I truly appreciated the lovely manager who took care of us that day. Thank you! I've been coming to this location a lot because even on the most crowded days, it never seems chaotic. Bustling, yes, but there is a certain sense of calm even when every seat is taken. I think it's the open atmosphere and all of the beautiful bright sunlight that streams through the windows, which I can appreciate in stark comparison to some other locations. It really makes a difference in my day. For those in a hurry, you can use the mobile option or their drive through which makes it very convenient to get your morning caffeine buzz. It is situated in a little strip mall with several eateries so I'll usually grab my iced tea on my way to grabbing lunch. There is outdoor seating with a large sectional couch and additional tables for those that want to catch some rays or bring their pups with them to relax outside. I like this place. Stopped by here after lunch at jersey mikes in the same plaza . This is a big and spacious Starbucks with a drive thru. There are lots of tables and chairs . There's even a large front open patio with even more tables and chairs . Ordering was easy with the one Barista as the cashier . Your drink order spits out as a sticker that they adhere to your drink . My iced coffee tastes fine as I'm sitting at one of their tables writing this . The location is well circulated and the patrons all seem busy and content with their books/laptops/etc. They have separate men and women's bathrooms too. Rejoice. Probably my favorite Starbucks to go in the area (4S, PQ, RB, Poway, Scripps Ranch, Mira Mesa, Miramar). Main reason is their wifi is crazy fast for a coffee shop. Did an internet speed test through Google and this Starbucks had the best results (See pic). In fact, no other Starbucks came close to this one on speed. Plenty of seating. Outdoor patio with shade. Staff has never messed up on any of my drinks. I'll definitely be back. read more

Had to give this place 5 stars. The customer service i received today was excellent. The manager today was Haylee (sorry if it's spelled differently). She was able to take care of the situation. I came home with a wrong order and called the number listed on yelp. She was able to assist me and resolve it. I appreciate this so much, the little things that they did really helped. I went back in to get their names but I only could remember the managers name. I hope all the employees there today get a raise or award for being awesome! The parking is shared with other businesses. The parking spaces are normal in size. Their are 3 main entrances to this plaza all are low vehicle friendly, but not their are speed bumps in the plaza. Walked in to this Starbucks and there were 5 people working there. It took them few minutes to acknowledge us. Ordered 2 coffees with cream. Normally the person that is taking your order gives you your coffees on the spot. In this case he decided to help a person behind us with her complicated order. After waiting for few more minutes, we had to ask a barista to get our coffees. She showed an attitude towards us and told us since we requested cream for our coffees, it takes a while. I go to Starbucks twice a day and haven't had this type of problem ever before. Got our coffees in about 10 minutes, staff never apologized for the wait. Not coming back to this location. read more

This is one of my favorite Starbucks as it is close to the gym and my normal commute to work/school so I can just quickly make a pit stop for some Starbucks and happily continue my day. Location is great, and the customer service every time I went is phenomenal. They also have a drive thru in case you are pinching for time and need something quick. Every time I ordered I've had no problems and the inside is awesome; a lot of chairs and seats for people who wants to relax and do some work, all while having the atmosphere playing pleasant music. It is A LOT more quieter than other locations I've been to. If I had to work from my laptop and needed a quiet subtle place to work while still having some social interactions, this would be the place. This Starbucks is by far the best I have gone to. It shows that these lovely folks like their job. No snarky attitudes, they say hello to everyone and not just the regulars. My friend lives in the area and suggested coffee here- alas no third wave coffee shops in the area. Starbucks coffee is the same at all of their stores. How it's executed is another story. When in Rome... I had the PSL. It was done at the right temperature, not tepid and not sweet. It was surprisingly good and now made with real pumpkin. The store is clean, efficient and have a great staff. Now, if only I can switch stores with the one closer to work. Lock, stock, and barrel. I attended the family & friends event last night, prior to the store officially opening this morning. I was able to sample food and drinks (clover brewed coffee is my favorite, so far). so fun! The entire team is friendly and genuine. This store is much larger than most Starbucks- it even has a patio with ceiling fans! Oh, it is also a drive thru! It's an efficient drive-thru Starbucks, but this place just doesn't have the 'vibe' of the Aviary/'Old Vons' location. It just doesn't feel as personable, and as tied-in to the locals. Yes, it's got a bigger footprint, is better stocked with 'Black Apron' coffees, sure. Stone Bridge Starbucks NOT Scripps Ranch Starbucks, if that makes sense.
