I honestly couldn't remember the last time I'd been there and had no idea what to order, but I knew I needed something quick with protein. Patrick was fantastic -- he listened, made some great suggestions, and whipped up exactly what I needed (even giving me the extra that didn't fit in the cup). He couldn't have known how much I needed that little boost, but it really made my day. It's so refreshing to see young people who greet you warmly, are genuinely courteous, and go out of their way to help. Patrick deserves a shout-out for great service and a great attitude. I'm waiting for my order along with a lovely customer on this beautiful SoCal morning when I (we) notice this other guy at the register wanting to pay for his drink with a hundred dollar bill. I only stopped to look up from my phone because he was insistent and rather loud about it, saying several times, "You have to take this money because it says 'legal tender' and it's a federal crime if you don't take it." I put my phone down and imagined putting on a pot of coffee and reaching for a bag of popcorn to see how this scene would develop. The cashier guy looks over at the gal in charge who is making the drinks. She looks back as Benjamin Franklin rambles on about legal tender this and federal crime that. She explains the store policy, that they don't accept bills over $20 and kindly asks if he has a lesser amount or if he can pay with a card. He looks frustrated because he is desperate to pay with this hundred dollar bill, like his life depended on it. My imagination tells me there is a criminal counterfeiter parked out front, forcing our guy to pass off this funny money, otherwise there will be "consequences" if he fails to comply. That is not what happened. In anticlimactic fashion, our high roller customer backs down. "I don't want to cause any trouble," he says and chooses an alternate form of payment after looking around and notices us observing this ridiculous scene from across the room. Jamba as a legitimate lunch option. I noticed the promotion lunch posters and decided to check it out. They have flatbreads ( basically mini pizza), cold wraps, salads, and noodle dishes. The wraps and salads look really tasty and fresh. Put other "grab and go" items at places like Trader Joe's to shame. Before I discovered Everbowl, I would get my Tropical Greens and Acai bowls here. I can't remember the name of the gentleman that helped me that day, but he was very nice and patiently waited while I figured out what I wanted that day. My Acai Primo bowl came out picture perfect, albeit the size was a bit small. No biggie. My old go-to was their Orange Dreamsicle, back when green veggies did not exist in my diet. Ahem. They also offer breakfast sandwiches, a variety of snacks, coffees and lattes if juices are not your thing. Parking is abundant although it can get a big congested during the lunch rush since there is a neighboring Starbucks. For those watching their sugar intake, try their All Fruit smoothies in lieu of there more sugary smoothies. Granted there will still be some sugar in it, but reduced. There were a few rough spots over the summer because they had a lot of new people working for them, but summer is over so I forgive them. Shout out to Ben, my musical dopelgaanger. Wow... I Love Jamba Juice and that is the only reason that this location even gets two stars. I just wanted a smoothie. You know, the smooth kind. My standard is a 16oz Mango A Go-Go with no boost. And that is what I ordered. What I got was chunks of ice and fruit with a powdery aftertaste that I can only assume was some sort of boost. Because I sent my husband in to grab and I had already driven away before I took my first sip and I was in a hurry, I had no time to make a formal in person. My husband did note that there was only one person working and he wasn't really paying attention to what order he was turning blenders on/off. Okay... so I love Jamba Juice, however I do not care for the customer service that this particular establishment offers. I was not welcomed with a warm greeting, and when I ordered the drink the young man behind the counter seemed annoyed and it was very off putting. This is a review for my drink only, I ordered a Kale, Mango, Peaches cold blended drink. To my dismay the drink that ordered sucked. I don't know what to blame it on. I am however very sad for spending my hard earned 6 dollars and some change for tax o this kale drink I ordered. I do want to state that I have an allergy to bananas and that they were very careful to not cross contaminate any traces into my drink. They also allowed to chose Mango instead of bananas. They are all knowledgeable of what they are selling, and they often make suggestions of their personal favorites, which I think helps alot if you don't know what to order. Twice I've been here and twice it has been horrible. They don't fill up the cup all the way for starters. Secondly if you are going to charge me 50 cents extra for my oatmeal that comes with two toppings it better have a topping! I asked for both toppings to be brown sugar. He charged me 50 cents! I love Jamba Juice but this particular location has horrible service. They are always very slow and never fill your drink up all the way (you'd figure they would since you're paying $5 a drink.) there is always a reasonable gap from the top and what they actually give you. Love jamba juice smoothies, especially their newer line of all fruit and/or veggie drinks. This branch makes the smoothies fairly consistent and you can count on getting the same quality each time.
