I try to support local coffee shops in general (grow your local economy, folks!), but Starbucks' vanilla rooibos, when served over ice, just cannot be beat. So I frequent Starbucks too! Not. This. One. For some reason, this location just cannot handle serving this brewed tea iced. It is literally the only location that I've ever been to that flat out refuses to do it (on three separate occasions, by three separate baristas). I give up! read more

I often go to this shop and I enjoy it. It's a bit larger than usual so you can do work at the tables or relax in the large chairs. The staff is friendly and by now they usually know my order. Lots of parking and the drive-thru is fast. One con is that the large chairs tend to have crumbs in them. You have to do a brush down before you sit. read more

I hate the Starbucks on 7th, the really ought to fire the entire staff there and start from scratch. I order an Iced Venti Chai Tea Latte. It's pretty simple, it's right off the menu, no add-ons. I often shop at the Basha's in the same complex, so every once in a while, I used to stop off at this Starbucks. It is an abomination. They never put the milk back in the fridge, the don't listen to your order, or if they do, they give you someone else's drink. It's not just one thing, it's EVERYTHING about it, from the rude staff to the inept staff to the inept staff to the rude staff. In any case, just drive by this Starbucks and hit the one on 16th and Bethany, where they always get your drink right the first time. read more

Booooo Booooo! I'm NOT a StarYucks patron. Really. I'm not. However some evil friend gave me a StarYucks gift card and of course I had to use it. So. I tried. I don't do the half caf, part skim, part whole, chai, with light chocolate sprinkles venti grande tallie or whatever. I truly hate those people. But I did request a soy latte. They were out of soy. We drive through here every Saturday and Sunday on the way to dog park. First off, I like Starbucks coffee, and the hearty rich punch of coffee flavor. I like that Starbucks does an "Americano", which is probably their only "frou-frou" drink other than a latte that exists in the non-Starbucks world. I've found some independents don't do Americano's because they think it's too "Starbucks". Go to France folks, "Americanos" all over. So knowing that I like Starbucks, here's the scoop on this shop: 1) Service is inconsistent - sometimes courteous, quick and spot on (usually the Sunday AM lady who is currently out due to knee surgery), but sometimes they are slow and get the order all wacked up and forget things. 2) the blender is near where the person taking the order often stands. "I'd like a wrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. A what? whrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... 3) Sometimes panhandlers hang our at the drive through. Hasn't happened in the last month or so, but has occurred more than once. We always notify the person at the window - don't know if they do anything about it 4) Inside is generally clean and neat 5) When I do go inside, I inevitably get stuck behind people who like to blab about themselves to the person behind the counter, other people in line, or someone on the cell. Terrible! Today was the 4th, yes 4th time they have messed up my order. 1st, they forgot my sandwich, 2nd they sent my sandwich to the drive thru, 3rd they sent my iced coffee to the drive thru, and a day later (!) They forgot to make my coffee altogether. Mind you, the last time I was the ONLY person in line. How is that even possible. I can't tell you how many free drinks I've gotten out of this location. These most recent 4 issues are just in the past month. There are many more I could go in to, but I don't have the time or energy to start. If you can put up with the service, then I would say go there to just get free drinks! read more

I have to say that even though I am not a huge Starbucks aficionado, coming here last night was pleasant.. After patronizing Starbucks in NYC and San Fran for 2 years each, its nice to finally be able to sit down and have a cup of coffee, without there being a 1,001 people in or out at all times, thus making it a very unpleasant experience. The drive-thru was not busy and only 2 people were there with on laptops. The employees at the counter were very nice, and we were chatting up a storm. Knowing that I will be able to come in here without a line during 5 p.m., is something of value to me. I would say I am glad to have this location in my neighborhood, and will be returning soon! I love this location because it doesn't get as busy as the 16th st and Bethany location (at least during the times that I have been there). I tend to stick to drive thru and my drinks are always good and they have friendly service. I did go inside once because the drive thru line was too long. My drink took a really long time (a flat white) to come out and they completely forgot my banana nut bread order. I had to ask twice about it so I was not happy with the service that day. Not sure if they were just having an off day or what. Inside it's pretty spacious compared to many other Starbucks. read more

Some workers there are very nice and some give an attitude. Few times drinks not done correctly for example asking for no foam and I end up getting foam on top of my coffee. I am giving the three stars based on the staff there as I stated some are nice where they will make your experience great and some I believe is due to the monotonous work they are working so therefore don't care. Everyone is so engaged in their own way of living, or own little bubble, the coffee I have not tasted yet simply because of my own issues, but as I say and felt sorry for myself I looked around and saw how similar we are were and is a beautiful thing because that means this BUCKS team really keeps a comfortable atmosphere so everyone can feel comfortable which is a beautiful thing. This used to be my favorite Starbucks. There are at least four other Starbucks that are closer to me, but I would drive past them all to go to this one. I spent countless hours and dollars here working on my bachelor's and master's degrees. They had this awesome giant conference table where you plug in and spread out your books and papers. They had good lighting for studying and coloring. And over Labor Day weekend, they destroyed all of it. Gone is the giant table with the good lighting. I no longer have any reason to return. Shame on you, Starbucks, for making your stores as uncomfortable as possible. I guess quantity served is more important than the quality of the customers' experiences. read more

The drive thru here is very efficient, and the staff is always nice and friendly, even at 6am on a Monday (always appreciated!). My only complaint is that sometimes my extra hot coffee is not so extra hot :-( read more

While I love the interior of this location, the service has repeatedly been horrible. My drink order has been wrong on too many occasions to count and as someone who primarily uses the drive-through, I am often not realizing their mistake until I am home. I have been given drinks that I did not order (obviously they mistakenly gave me someone else's order), had to repeat my order multiple times for them to only then get it wrong, and am repeatedly given regular milk when I have requested soy. It is unfortunate that this Starbucks is in my neighborhood and the closest to my home because it is by far the worst Starbucks I have ever been to. read more

Horrible service all the time. The drive-through is always backed up no matter what and they have to give away their drinks for free half the time because it takes so long. One of my last visit I told the lady I wanted almond milk (because of my lactose intolerance) and she brought me soy milk in my drink (which I'm also allergic to) and I don't like to complain and I'd already waited in the line far longer than I should have an was running late so I just ended up paying for a drink I had to throw away. My most recent visit I went in because the line was so long at the drive-through, inside wasn't busy at all but for some reason it still took 15 minutes for them to make my drink which I only I realized was even made cause the lady who came in 5 minutes after me went up and found her drink waiting there (for however long) because no one called anyones names or drinks out letting them know they were ready, they were just putting drinks over there and just walking away. I walked over to see if my drink was there and (what was supposed to be my drink) didn't have a name or drink name anywhere on it (so how would anyone even know it's their drink being that names/drink orders weren't being called). I finally realized that drink was made incorrectly (hot instead of iced like I ordered) and they went to remake it to remake it and I took my drink expecting it to be made properly this time but they put whole milk in it, even though I requested almond milk and ended up drinking a decent amount of it before I realized it wasn't almond milk. So not only did I have to have my drink remade cause they didn't properly make it the first time but I got a drink that actually made me violently sick because I drank something that was supposed to be in my dietary restrictions but it wasn't made properly the second time. Never going back to this location again ever again. read more

After a night of drinking and not knowing our way around town we found this starbucks. The neat thing is it had the same feel as every other starbucks with an Arizona twist. The location was clean and restrooms were golden. Usually I do not drink sugary drinks but I had to give in. Me and the gf grabbed double Fraps...and I got the whip cream too! The drinks were amazing and the location had a good vibe where you can sit and talk. The only reason I gave it 4 stars came from the wait time. At 12:15 on a Saturday, very slow service and the counters were messy with garbage and spills. One employee, apparently at the end of her shift, stood at the machines texting while people moved around her. The man serving drinks did not say a word beyond calling the name- when I said thank you he walked off. Same for others. This is not my typical experience at Starbucks. I have gone to this Starbucks for awhile, and every time the wait was over 10 minutes, not because they were busy but because they were slow at making drinks. This time I was waiting for over 15 minutes and when I got my drink was under filled by an inch. Baristas here are rude! Try to avoid this Starbucks as much as possible. When my dad ordered his drink with his accent the barista (Hanna) at the drive through made fun of him! How insulting. When it was my turn to place my order I made sure to share with Hanna a couple of customer service tips. She was so embarrassed she had someone else give us our drinks. I wish I would have had the chance to talk to the manager about her behavior, but honestly I had more important things to do. Also, on Sunday when I went through the drive through they quickly told me what my total was without asking if there was anything else that I needed. "I am not done yet! " and then the guy laughed. Apparently everything you tell them is a joke. Also, last month they were out of venti cups..... I personally love Starbucks, but when it comes to customer service one bad experience it's all it takes to lose the loyalty. read more

Generally, my experiences at this Starbucks have been OK (nothing "special" or "extraordinary"); however, while I was ready to give it a "regular" 3 stars, I have to take away one star because of how one employee named David is a legitimate douchebag. The men's toilet was backed up, and I had to go to the nearby Bashar's to use their restroom instead. I had no choice but to throw away the cup I was using (and was planning on using to get a refill). When I returned, I asked for another drink, but at the price I'd pay for a refill. David asked for a cup, and when I told him I had to leave because of their toilet being backed up and had to discard the cup, he said, "I need a cup before I can give you a refill." When I pointed out to him, "I wouldn't have had to throw away the cup if it wasn't for the fact that your toilet was backed up," he said, "no cup, no refill." Throughout the whole exchange, he was barely making eye contact and had a slight attitude. I get that he was likely following what he was probably told in training, but at the same time, he could have been more accommodating due to the fact that it was THEIR toilet that was backed up, and forced me to leave and come back in order to relieve myself. Either David needs a corrective meeting with his supervisor, or get out because of his douchebag behavior (which is not acceptable). read more
