Decided to hit the drive thru at this location to try this new collab with Olipop! I absolutely love Olipop and was stoked to see them doing a collab with a coffee shop. It was delicious!! Black Rock as a whole I prefer compared to Starbucks when in a pinch for coffee. Thankfully there are enough in the valley that if I just need something quick, it'll do the trick. My favorite coffee ever? No, but I appreciate their consistency in flavor when I decide to stop by and get a caffeine fix. During my last visit there were 6 cars in line and yet no one had ordered because they weren't using the box. I mostly come through the drive-through, but sometimes I do a pick up order and I go inside. I come here a lot, I must admit. The drinks and the food are delicious. My biggest complaint is when I place a pick up order I still have to wait in line... It kind of defeats the purpose of saving time. Now, I will go to Starbucks when I wanna do a pick up order because it's much faster. My next complaint is anytime I order a food item, I am never given napkins and I always have to ask. I know this seems so small but I do feel it's inappropriate ask when ordering food, especially when you're going to hand me the iPad asking me to tip. I ordered a Blended Caramel Truffle and it was actually very good. I'd suggest this place for people who actually want to taste coffee when they're having a coffee. Portions are a little messed up and their prices are no worse than starbucks. But overall my drink personally tasted great. Keep in mind, again this place is for actually coffee drinkers. read more

I love Black Rock since I come from Portland. If you want breakfast items, get there early because the popular choices sell out quickly. The app shows what's in stock. Weekend drinks can sometimes be hit or miss, but during the week, the morning crew is fantastic. I've been going here for years and really love it. read more

i saw the menu online and knew i had to try the mexican mocha and the jalapeño bagel, sadly they were all out of the bagel :/ maybe next time if i come earlier, the mexican mocha is delicious, i can taste the almond, a lil vanilla and almond towards the end, it's not bitter or too sweet they made it perfect, now as for the peach mango smoothie that i got for my toddler.. i tried it and let's just say they use artificial peach flavoring which was a bummer cause i got it for the healthy fruit aspect for my kiddo, anyways 10/10 for the coffee and 3/10 for the smoothie it literally taste like peach candy.. read more

Wow it's hot in here! Workers have sweat dripping off them. The dining room was in about 85 degrees if not hotter. I asked about it and they said well...it's bc the drive up window is open all the time. Yeah, I've been at lots of coffee places that have drive thru and the temp is never this hot. We were faithful customers for many months at 35th. Ave and Greenway. We would spend between $25 to $30 a day on coffee at this location. Over this time period we had so many mistakes on our drinks. We would get coffee with out cream or milk when we asked. We would also get other people's drinks. After so many months we will no longer go to Blackrock. We get our coffee at circle k and we enjoy it. Most of the time there were always long lines. We were driving by and saw this cute little place opened and were offering free drinks. There were long lines but was super impressed on how well organized it was and barely took any time to get the drinks. We went in and the coffee bar has some great complimenting colors like black, white and red. Their whole inside outside theme is amazing. Loved the whole vibe inside. I went with a hazel nut coffee and it was amazing. I loved the taste of coffee, it had the right amount of caffeine, tasted excellent. This place is so close to my office that I would be a regular here. This whole week they are running promotions and what better way to avail it. The prices are reasonable.
