First, the staff has always been terrific. Drinks are made quickly and well. But the reason for 2 stars is ... the restrooms. Starbucks at the Collection has changed the Women's restroom to Male/Female, but has left the Men's restroom as is. In other words, women have one restroom while men have two. Very clean Starbucks. Staffs are caring and baristas are super friendly! They get your name and put it on the cup, haven't messed up my name once! Haha! The seating is right but cozy and workable. As a previous partner myself, when a customer asks you which milk you used, you tell them which one you actually used and do NOT give attitude if its not the correct one they ordered. I saw the girl pour the "red" colored lid milk carton (whole milk) and it was the wrong milk. When I asked her which one she used, very politely to confirm it wasn't the one I'd ordered, she took it and dumped it in the sink quickly showing frustration at a mere question and did not say a word once she handed the re-made beverage back to me via the handoff area. I'd never asked it to be re-made, simply was asking to check what it was. The vibes are super laid back...I dig laid back. Even with the non stop grinding and similar noises, you are still able to manage a decent conversation. And even if it gets too crowded they have a solid Lounge area on both sides outside. to the best of my recollection, I have not once had a bad experience at this location. all of the baristas are very friendly and knowledgeable. I've only been to this location once and want to give them the benefit of the doubt (every place has their off days) but there were too many negatives to want to come back. I stood waiting for someone to say something to me or take my order for over 5 mins. I think they were making drinks but two people looked at me and didn't even smile or say I'll be right with you. When the girl came to the register she didn't say anything. I gave her my order and she walked away. Guess that was fine since I just needed to scan my app and be on my way. Got my drink and while it was quick my ice coffee was bitter. My fault for taking it and leaving without trying it ahead of time. Honestly, I would love to have given this Starbucks a better review. As a proud prior Starbucks partner, however, I feel that I must give this store it's due diligence. First, I must make it abundantly clear that my review is specific to the "order" feature on the Starbucks app. Because of the nature of my work, I have to arrive early and frequently utilize this amazing feature to get my coffee quickly. However, every single time I have ordered using this at this store, my order has been incorrect in one way or another. Today, I ordered a drink there through the app out of necessity. This time, however, my caramel macchiato had no caramel sauce in it at all! I get that sometimes mistakes are made... However, every single time I order with the app from this store, I end up disappointed because something isn't right. And as a prior Partner, I urge the employees of this store to take that extra one or two seconds to ensure that the drinks are made correctly. Short Version: I ordered a quad soy mocha and got a dairy milk latte. I found out when I suffered the lactose-intolerance indigestion issues several hours later. No labels/marks on the cup. It was too late to turn back because I was driving through in the evening, and was already 10 miles away by the time I became suspicious. Long version: I don't usually write reviews. When I do, it's typically been when I really like a place or have a strong opinion of some sort. I hate to write this type of review, because it's on the negative side, but I just want to share a word of caution with other fellow lactose-intolerant Starbucks-a-holics, or even ones that like to get the correct drink they order. I was driving home from LA this evening, and needed to grab something to eat/drink before my way home. I really like the new Collection plaza that's opened in Oxnard, especially the Whole Foods and Starbucks right across from each other. I'd been to the Whole Foods a few times before, but this was my first time at the Starbucks. First off, the Starbucks is quite big and nice. I was passing through and didn't have time to sit, but it would be a really nice one to stay at if I was sticking around or lived in the area. Lots of seating and tables. The staff is also quite quick. There's another review here that says that they're slow, but it's not the case. There was a line of 5-6 people, and it went by fairly quickly. Of course they may be quick but not accurate... So anyway, I ordered a 4-Shot Grande Soy Mocha. Yes, 4 is a lot of shots, but I needed the caffeine for the drive. Anyway, I didn't taste test in the store, and walked out with it to my car. Actually didn't taste until I was about 10-miles away. When I did taste it, I immediately noticed it wasn't a mocha at all, just a regular latte. It also didn't have 4-shots, no way. There's a noticeable difference in the taste as you increase the amount of espresso and this tasted nothing like that. I was driving on the highway, so I turned on my car light to look at the cup and check the label. I noticed there was no label or markings on the cup. Great. At that point I was fairly suspicious, as I am any time my specially-ordered food isn't marked. So anyway, I couldn't quite tell if it was soy or regular milk at that point, but I decided I needed whatever low amount of caffeine was in the drink, so I took a few gulps and figured that I'd be able to tell later if I feel bad. Here I am now at 6:15am writing this review, so as you can probably guess, my suspicions were correct - there was definitely regular dairy milk in my drink. ----- Moral of the story for this Starbucks: PLEASE LABEL YOUR DRINKS. I'm giving you 2 stars because I hope you improve. I would love to stop by again and get the actual drink I ordered. Hope you get it correct next time, especially considering that I paid a few dollars extra for soy and added espresso shots and wasn't given what I paid for. read more

This place sucks, it's freezing cold all the time,they have capped all the electrical outlets so you can't use their power to charge your electronic equipment, all for a reason..... they don't want you there. Oh Starbucks... When will your coffee stop tasting so burnt and over roasted? Never fails. In especially every time I visit this location. I keep returning because it is the only coffee shop conveniently located on my commute to work or I would never return. I order a iced coffee with 3 pumps of any syrup and get the same burnt tasting coffee every time. Maybe your baristas are not measuring your iced coffee extract well or your beans are over roasted. I had the most wonderful service from the lovely people at this location. I ordered 3 drinks and had my 2 year old Grandson with me. I wasn't quite sure how I was going to handle him and hot drinks all at once and a very kind employee quickly offered to walk out with me. I was blown away impressed. I've been coming to this Starbucks off and on for about 5 years now. But as of recent, I have been a regular there for about 2 months. I can tell you that I won't be coming back any time soon. It started with me sitting down trying to enjoy my coffee, I was on my laptop at the time and over heard the baristas making rude remarks targeted towards me. Saying things like, "this isn't a library." Or asking me personal questions when I ordered my coffee like, "oh did you sleep last night?". The entire conversation should be, "hi how are you? What can I get for you?". That was the beginning of it. As the weeks went by I found myself getting targeted more and more aggressively. I have fairly thick skin, but at the same time I am going into the establishment to pay for my coffee. So as an employee of Starbucks, you should hold yourself to a more hospitable standard and not make your guests feel uncomfortable. Today was the worst of it. An older Caucasian woman with brunette hair made a comment towards me saying, "oh he only tipped you 5 cents?!" I was astonished. I sat down and she continued to throw out words like, "weird" and "dark". Saying things like, "that's not white." I am in fact not white. But what really set me off was her calling me a, "bean.". I recently just moved across the street from the collection and I love how this Starbucks is in walking distance! The view outside is amazing and the baristas so helpful! I always get the same thing a Caramel Frapp and well I went in wanting something different but had no idea what to get. Perhaps there is a need for more tables and outlets at this location, due to the traffic of people coming in and wanting to sit, stay or work on their laptops. Hmmmm, one of the most unorganized starbucks ever. There's always very long wait, very loud and seems like theres always tons of kids in there.. It's weird. I love kids but Ive never been in a Starbucks where there are kids running all around like a playhouse last time I was there, i ordered a blended Americano, just ice and coffee. She made a coffee frappuccino .. Twice. Asked what was in it, she didn't know the cashiers gave two different answers. I was asking because I work in fitness and needed to know what was in the drink, which I didn't think was ridiculous but They all seem like they're new and unaware of the ingredients which is frustrating. Very disappointed by the service at this store. I try to avoid it but I love my coffee and it's closest on my way to work. I ordered (at the counter) a Grande Chile Mocha with coconut milk. It was until ten minutes after paying and waiting that a barista informed me they were "out" of the chile mocha. I settled for a regular mocha. Which I only later come to find out was $1.20 LESS than what I had already paid. I wasn't offered the difference in return or even an apology. And quite frankly I didn't think it was that busy. Dirty, crowded, noisy, too small, and surprisingly run-down. (Broken chairs.) Poor building planning for being in The Collection, because it simply cannot accommodate the crowds during peak times. I also don't appreciate that they didn't have a full menu up. Only the most popular coffee drinks. NO menu for non-caffeinated drinks. You have to look up the menu online before coming in, or you'll be starting at blank boards. Very sub-par to most Starbucks stores. Walked in, looked around a bit, and walked right back out.
