I tried the Thai tea boba once, and it tasted too sweet for me. This time I ordered Peach Lychee fruit tea with a crystal boba. It was good, especially in the summer. The service is always good. This is our go-to boba place in Ventura County. Consistently good boba with a convenient location right in the Collection. This isn't a location with tables, it's a walk-up location & you order at the counter. They can get REALLY busy with long lines, so sometimes there's a decent wait to get your boba. But the staff are always efficient and kind, and there's a bench or two outside to wait. The strawberry fruit drink with strawberry popping boba is always my go-to. Can never go wrong with it. Parking can be difficult here when it's busier, but there's usually always parking in the structure behind the establishment. Thanks to the order ahead option, i don't have to be in that line where everyone is standing up against me and breathing down my neck. Girls at the counter are always friendly, sweet and quick to help. The drinks are decent. The boba is still good and consistent in texture. The only issue i have is with their blended drinks. It gets watered down SO fast, that it's like getting regular iced drinks. I wish it weren't like that, but because of that, there's really no point in getting it. Went this evening with my daughters and purchased 2 regular size drinks. Waited for our drinks for 20 minutes while we stood there watching customers who came after us get their drinks before ours (5 to 8 minute wait for them). I counted a total of 4 customer orders that came after us and were served before us (9-10 drinks). All along the baristas behind the glass kept glancing out the window with big smirks and giggling, making me believe this was on purpose. I called the store after to ask what their order system is and if drinks get done in the order purchased or ticket order number. What sounded like an inexperienced manager, responded, that sometimes it gets hectic and at times drinks get done based on baristas preference in drink making, or type of drink. What!!??? Our drinks were nothing special just regular drinks, but to hear that it all depends on the baristas preference and that they don't make them in order they are purchased is so wrong. So depending on the drinks baristas like to make that's how long your drink will take?? We will not be returning back to this location. It's Boba Time is a quick walk-up counter that I'm assuming is always busy because the person who took our order seemed pretty impatient while one of our party was trying to figure out what he wanted (there was no one behind us - she was just unnecessarily harsh). I ordered a Passionfruit mango tea with boba half sweet. When my order was ready, they forgot to add boba to my.... boba tea. They noticed that it was missed when they checked the receipt, so they fixed it, no problem. I was feeding a massive boba craving so I was really looking forward to this. The boba pearls were the right texture of soft and chewy without being overly done. The tea, however, was so watered down. It was as if half sweet translated to "let's mix it with less syrup and more water instead." When I order a half sweet tea, I expect less sweet and more pureness of the actual tea to come through. Disappointingly not the case here... Kudos to first impression of the tea - the colors are gorgeous. Pass on flavor, though (whomp whomp). At least I can say I've tried it. They tasted like any other tea drink you find locally or out in LA. The only difference is this boba spot is a walk away. Like one of my favorite comedians said rice is rice, so boba is boba. Next to Ben & Jerry's, near gen korean bbq, Yard House, etc. Parking will be on the streets which can be difficult to find one.
