I love chai so I knew I needed to try it. I ordered a small chai drink and a peanut butter brownie. The baked goods are made by Siblings Bakery in Ventura. The drink was perfection. Great chai spice flavor and milky base made for a nice treat. The brownie was fresh with a slight crunchy crust and moist middle. The staff were friendly and quick to take and make my order. It also has a current photo of the founders right next to an older photo they took approximately 25 years ago. They were standing in front of an unfinished wall back then, 25 years later they decided to take a photo in front of the same wall which, while STILL unfinished, now has insulation. Can't believe it took that long to add insulation to the wall! How crazy is that? Anyway, it's a juice/smoothie spot comparable to the other juice franchises throughout California. Is there anything different or anything that stood out to me with the Tropical Mango Juice? No. But that's not necessarily bad. It's a tried and true formula with other juice spots. Best smoothies ever! 1000x better than Jamba Juice. Quality is amazing. All smoothies I've tried have been absolutely delicious. I got the cranberry smoothie, which has cranberry juice, blueberries, yogurt & raspberry sherbet. I like how the yogurt adds some tartness to the smoothie. So so delicious and refreshing! I came here on Sunday because it is near the harbor for fishing, riding in boats, kayaks etc. I wanted a refreshing drink and this place appeared to be interesting. Was it? Yes. The smoothies are pretty big and considering they are 4-6$ for the 12 oz and 24 oz. I was pleasantly shocked. I mean you can't get a better deal anywhere else. I ordered the power greens smoothie and the peanut butter one with added whey protein. You get one free supplement but extras cost like 0.50$ more. The service however was bland and super slow. Some of the employees are pretty good but others are not. Unfortunately the first employee I had hated their job and brought out the negativity on the customers. The next time I went to order acai bowls, the second employee was slightly better so he got a tip. The prices for the acai bowls are a little bit expensive though, 7$ and the bowl is tiny. It did taste very good though. The interior usually can get crowded due to the slow service of making smoothies and acai bowls. Overall, a great place to get smoothies on a nice summer day by the ocean. Would I come back? Yes because the prices are reasonable and the service is tolerable. The only downfall is the wait time, about 20 minutes for my smoothies although the line was fairly long. The place is located by vons and other nearby food chains like Chipotle and anaba sushi. This location I have visited the most since its by the channel island so My husband and I and with our family we get the smoothie and come here for a walk. Its really nice area. Drinks however can be a hit or a miss here. I have had few drinks here where they dont blend it so well so there are chunks of fruits that is not blended which im not a fan of when this happens. After exploring the menu for a bit we had a few questions that pertained to allergies, etc. Two of us walked up to the register and when asked if we were ready to order, we responded that we did have a few questions first. We were told to step to the side the people behind us could place their order. Wait, what? We had waited in line like everyone else. After that person had placed their order, we tried again. The responses were rude, abrupt, and in one case, incorrect (per what was printed on the menu). Another person walked in and we were told to order or step aside. We were ready to order, but decided that this was not a place we wanted to spend money at and left. The menu is quite extensive, but what surprised me the most was the relative inexpensiveness of its products in comparison to competitors like Jamba Juice. I feel like they're trying to memorize the order by ear and make the drink quickly that they've been making my drinks wrong 80% of the time. Like today, I had to take my smoothie home and re-blend it because it was difficult to sip & I was chewing ice the entire time. You guys can do better than this! The 20% when they DO memorize it correctly before ringing me up, it's impressive. After a nice walk, I was craving a green tea matcha. So I ordered and paid for one. 2 minutes later I saw someone leaving with their acai bowls...I changed my mind. Because sometimes I can be complicated lol I asked the ladies behind the counter if it was too late to cancel? Venus who had just began prepping my matcha quickly turned around with a kind voice and smile said "not at all" she gladly asked what would I like instead.
