Hello, I wanted to provide feedback regarding my recent visit. I ordered an açaí bowl, and when it was handed to me, the employee at the counter stated that the bowl was smaller because he "didn't blend enough açaí." That immediately raised concern because I paid for a full order and expected to receive what was advertised and purchased. When I brought up that this was not what I ordered, the employee was dismissive and unfriendly. There was no effort made to correct the issue, offer a solution, or provide proper customer service. The interaction left me feeling ignored and disappointed with the overall experience. I understand mistakes happen, but the lack of professionalism and unwillingness to address the issue properly is why I felt it was important to bring this to management's attention. read more

I forgot how much I loved this place! Right across the Ventura college. The portions are amazing and the açaí bowls are always delicious. The person who helped me out today was very nice and welcoming. I got a pretty basic bowl because the acai on its own is already a 10/10 read more

I happened to find this place driving around Ventura and it was pretty good. They gave you a lot of custom options for the bowls and gave you a few different mixes. I went with the Acai cream because it was standard Acai and it was very sweet. The blueberries and strawberries were also ripe and delicious. The only reason this is getting a 4 is because the price is a little on the higher side, coming in at over $16. Having each extra topping be $1 is a little expensive read more

My husband and I love this place!! I'm picky with my Acai bowls and this place nails it every time. I order the Black Belt Acai Bowl, husband gets the Perfect Beat Smothie. The Acai bowls have perfect ratio of Acai to toppings and they don't hold back on the toppings yumm!! Thank you! read more

If you love açaí bowls don't come here. The açaí itself is icey and not good at all...we were the only ones there and the worker took a long long time. For $16, this is probably one of the biggest rip-offs. Our bowl barely had any fruit either. Soooo disappointed don't come here, one of the worst places I've ever been! read more

They have a gluten free bread option thing I forgot the name of it but it was delicious, I want to try every flavor! The juice is so amazing. Kian was great at service and making my drink. It was so good I went back and bought a second one after ( summer taste ). Very refreshing and quality ingredients 10/10 read more

Came here after a hike with my husband, mother in law, and my son. Cute little place. I enjoyed seeing the artwork they have up. Worker was nice and helpful. I got the Hawaiian smoothie. My husband got the tropical passion smoothie. My mother in law got the green juice. I didn't try my husbands or my mother in laws drink. They did say they enjoyed it. I thought my drink was okay. For the type of fruit that was used and sweetener in my drink it wasn't sweet and tasted bland. I couldn't really taste the fruit that was in the smoothie. I make smoothies at home with fresh fruit similar to these. I typically don't add any sweetener and mine come out pretty sweet with flavor. Even though I didn't like mine, since my husband and mother in law liked theirs, I would come back and give it another shot. read more

Finally a place that knows how to blend a proper açaí bowl! Not only that, but Ricardo is so friendly, kind, and happy to serve up some healthy açaí and smoothies that taste just delicious. I drive 15 minutes across town for this place, I'm totally addicted! read more

Honestly, I am usually really excited to eat açai I had ordered the basic bowl and went with a few of my friends. First, they had forgotten my order which I dismissed because I was hoping it was going to be really good but when I tried the açai, it was the complete opposite. Everything was fine with the toppings. The açai specifically taste tasted bad and my bowl wasn't the only one that tasted like that. read more

Delicious! I gobbled up my acai bowl so fast. This place is kinda hidden in a small shopping area. The employees are so nice! You can customize your own bowl and ask for the acai raw with no added sugar. They also have pitaya. If you feel overwhelmed you can just get one of their already customized bowls and substitute any topping. My favorite is the beach boys acai bowl with blueberries, bananas, mangoes, almonds, honey and chips seeds. I usually substitute the almonds for cacao nibs and then add peanut butter. It's so delicious you have to try it! They also have Brazilian snacks and frozen acai for sale. It's a must in Ventura. read more

Very kind service- but people should know to go elsewhere! Firstly, I am allergic to almonds, so I asked to remove them and get something else instead! I was told okay, but later realized I was charged $1.00. I brought it to her attention, and after saying that is how we do it- I told her I understand but would have gotten another bowl then. She refunded me $1. (Just to give you an idea, my bowl had 5 raspberries on it- so it would have been $1 for 5 raspberries) Then our bowls came out, 1 large.. 1 regular, and my large was basically the same size as a regular. It's almost embarrassing how far from the top it is. Picture included. At the end of the day, I will never come back. read more

We loved our bowl The black belt was our favorite We make bowls at home and it truly pains me to pay $$$$ for them out because it's like an arm and a leg but when out and not close to home it's worth at least one of those limbs. We asked tons of questions because ya know, we are vegan and that's what vegans do hahaha ‍ they helped up find the perfect bowl for everyone and we ordered 4 of the same and we all LOVED it. We don't like sharing and are always hungry. The shop is clean and quiet. We dined in and were the only people doing so pre-Covid.... they are now doing bowls to go. We loved the glass bowls they served us on our first visit. Makes it so much easier to eat...hope to visit again when this MESS is over and enjoy our Black Belt Bowl at BB we LOVE you and hope more people check you out! read more

I was craving an Acai bowl but the ones we have local weren't attracting me & I'm so glad I found this place!!! I'm not going to mention local shops but I've had Acai bowls where it had too much sugar, too watery, or not blended - you name it. bb Acai made their bowls to perfection! All the ingredients they chose in their bowls was the perfect balance. I ordered a 24 oz beach boys bowl & surprisingly got full but I still wanted more. I ordered during COVID & called in for take out. They respected social distancing inside & had my bowl ready in 5 minutes. I noticed the cashier used hand sanitizer between every transaction plus they had a huge hand sanitizer jug for customers. Customer service was pleasant & quick. I have no complaints & I'm looking forward to my next visit. read more

I know the business is amazing when it compels me to write a yelp review-- they deserve all the praise. I go back and forth between Ventura and Oahu and being an Acai connoisseur I've been to most, if not all acai places in my areas. bb Acai is not only a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, but their acai bowls are absolutely top tier and without a doubt the best I've had. When i crave acai, i crave bb acai. Their granola alone is a real treat-- it's seriously so good. Every ingredient you can taste the quality from the honey, to the fruit, and especially the acai. I don't know what they're doing back there but i hope they keep it up and never stop because they are miles ahead of other acai establishments. It's true, "One taste of their Açaí Bowl and you're hooked". I ordered the Black Belt Bowl, which is one of the fan favorites and now I totally see why! It's filled with fresh strawberries, blueberries, coconut, honey, and topped with 3 heaping scoops of peanut butter!! I went during the week and it was fairly busy, everyone was ordering the Black Belt Bowl. Loved the friendly, surfer vibe atmosphere. AH-SIGH-EE! * LOCATION: Across from Ventura college/Maverick's gym next to better body & Crystal nails. Inside that small plaza where Snapper Jack's is also located. * VERDICT: As an acai fanatic, I would come back here over & over again! Why is that? I grabbed the... Berry Blast Acai Cream - 24oz - $9.50 (4/5 stars): The texture of the acai does feel & taste creamy, packed with berries, & my favorite part are the granola & almonds. I added peanut butter as an extra topping & I only docked a star cause I wish they had the almond butter option(?) The pb tasted like Jiffy's peanut butter but there is also nothing wrong with that. I thought I'd try this spot because I was in the area & it wasn't too bad compared to other brazilian bowls I've tried locally. The portions, menu options, service, & cleanliness deserve your acai cravings! Great location across a gym & school for carb/snack needs. read more

My wife and I moved to Ventura from Santa Barbara a few years ago and were sad that we wouldn't have Backyard Bowls close by. Much to our delight, we found bb Acai. I was craving acai bowls and found this on yelp. It's a mile from our home so I decided to try. Not too fancy and not too expensive. They give a large portion. I'll return on a regular basis. read more

I've been coming here for a while now and it's one of my favorite places to get an açaí bowl. The staff is always friendly and the place is super clean and welcoming. The bowls are great and my wife and I pretty much get the Black Belt every single time. We like them so much we've been ordering the larger 24 and 32oz sizes, which brings me to an observation I'd like to make and has been shared by another reviewer. As we've been ordering the larger sizes we've noticed lately that it doesn't appear to yield larger bowls, especially when ordering the 32oz. I hope this is a one time occurrence as we believe the prices and the quality of the acai bowls are justified. When you're willing to spend the extra money to get more of a great item, it's a bit disappointing when you feel that you haven't received what you've paid for. We will continue to support this great business but I hope that more attention to their orders will be addressed as loyal customers who are willing to spend the extra money will get extra value. read more

I normally love this place because their pink show smoothie is my favorite smoothie in town but today the service was disappointing. I ordered a smoothie at 9:27 am and i got the smoothie at 10:07. There was no one else in the store. I waited 40 minutes for a smoothie even tho there were no other orders. While i was waiting, I could hear the guy working cleaning, going to the bathroom, and he even came out to grab something while he talked on the phone. Eventually he came out and said "hello" to me and tried to take my order AGAIN as if he hadn't taken my order 40 minutes ago. I asked him when my smoothie would be ready and he said "oh!" and went to make it. Smoothie tastes fine but could not be more disappointed that he forgot about my order completely when I was the only costumer and wasted my time. read more
