This Starbucks is truly a hot mess. Normally I don't review commercial places, but with Starbucks I will because it's so expensive. The amount of times I've had to accept a poorly made drink from here simply because I have to get to work is so frustrating. I just ordered their new drink, you'd think with a newly released drink they'd be on point. Nope. Drink completely wrong, and then I get the runaround about the remake or refund. When I buy a drink and go home I don't expect to have to come right back because my drink is made wrong. I am truly over this location giving me crap. I've been through the drive thru here a few times but this time the line seemed so long I decided to pop inside to get my birthday drink. The server who assisted me went above and beyond for customer service. She helped me craft my drink, made suggestions, made me a sample taste of the cold foam, and used my name while wishing me a happy birthday while ringing my order up. She was friendly, helpful, and fast. I wish I knew her name because she really was really great (blonde hair, pink beanie). Also, it should be noted with the loooonnnngggg line outside, there was only one other customer inside so I'm glad I went in to place my order. It appeared nice and clean inside as well which was j or to see after reading some reviews in regards to the ambiance inside. read more

Starbucks met expectations, but could have been a little bit cleaner. Tables were dirty. There was hand sanitizer at the trash cans but none on the tables. This was completely different from a Starbucks in another part of town I visited this morning. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were reasonably clean. read more

I spend way to much on green tea and coffee tbh,at least 12$ a day .This location and the hit or miss service motivated me to go out and buy one of those keurog machines... Some folks are friendly and helpful, but there seems to be more and more of the crappy I don't care and I'm doing you a favor by being here type waiting for me At the window. I just drove away ..keep the money ..watching your "barista" remixing a drink from One already made was disturbing...that and your drive thru guys attitude helped me come to the conclusion life is to short. I ordered a white hot chocolate and instead got a regular hot chocolate. I absolutely hate the regular hot chocolate and would never in my life ever order it. it's so chalky. Service was terrible at this location. I usually come here on way to work but I had the day off. I purchased the same coffee caramel macchiato, oat milk, extra shot with 2 Splendas. This drink was so nasty, I have it all the time. So, I parked my car and came in, the barista was so rude and put off that I said something. Then the replacement was mostly foam, it taste somewhat better but I didn't have the energy to go back in forth. The amount of volume y'all receive at this location, one would expect it to be a well oiled machine. I need to find a different location on my way to base. Oh yes, I'm in the Navy and I live in the neighborhood. But I'd rather add 15 mins on my drive, then come back. read more

My wife's favorite chain coffee place with a drive thru. Establishment is clean with restrooms immediately to the right of the main entrance. Indoor and outdoor seating available, plus a water station for your fur babies. This Starbucks opened in Jan 2018 and offers nitro coffee on tap, as most newly opened stores do. Though it took her a while to greet me, cashier was nice and provided thorough service. The barista served my nitro coffee in less than 3 minutes after paying. During my wait time, I noticed the bar area behind the service counter was a tad messy with spilled liquids and cups in slight disarray. read more

This is my daily coffee stop and when it's good it's EXCELLENT but when they get busy, it seems the staff tends to lose their minds! I understand the pressure of getting busy but I've been to busier Starbucks without the staff losing order stickers or handing over the wrong drinks, etc. However, this shop remains my #1 in the area as the employees taking drive-thru orders are always super friendly, super willing to remake drinks when you're anything less than satisfied and when I do go inside, it's very evident that everyone is working hard and trying to get everyone served quickly and efficiently as a team! Much has changed in Norfolk since I last visited. My go to location by the Moe's had closed/moved so I was in search for another location. Luckily with most Starbucks locations, there's likely one just right across the street... and there was. This is a stand alone store located within a strip mall. They have convenient drive through and they also take app orders so you can just go in and pick up. In most of my recent reviews, I have been highlighting their delightful new nitro cold brew. Everything about this drink is awesome. It's smooth, packed full of caffeine and almost tastes like you're drinking cream. I feel that the infusion takes away a lot of the bite that people cover up with sugar and cream. This does not require that. I get the grande and it comes in a lovely "sippy" cup that negates the need for a straw. I found the people here to be friendly and efficient with the orders. I was in and out in less than 5 min. The place is clean with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. read more

Do not come to this starbucks!!! If you go through the drive through and are using card, the guy who's always working the window will tip himself without your permission or knowledge. He's done this with me alone twice now. He chats you up at the window seeming all nice and then when you tap your card he pulls the machine away real quick and taps the tip option himself. Last time he tipped himself off my card $5, and this time it was a dollar. I know this for a FACT because today when I got a refresher and saw it was the guy who stole my money last time, I let him do his little routine of tipping himself, and asked for the receipt after. And suprise suprise there was a "gratuity" charge...I asked "what is this? you tipped yourself? you never even showed me the tip screen!" He says "oh the system does that" yeah no. I literally saw him pull the card machine away and tap the damn screen!! Normally I tip, but I draw the line at this guy is stealing from people and hope they don't notice. I asked for the manager and he said they weren't in and when I asked for anyone else that's above him he said they were busy. Someone seriously needs to fire this guy. read more

Update from my review over a year ago..... somehow it's worse at this location since a year ago lol. They need to have more staff on shift at all times - service is incredibly slow even when you go inside. The food I got was also cold. I know they're just trying their best there but the only thing I can think of that would help is just more employees. This Starbucks has grown on me and I will update my review every so often as I tend to be a regular! When this new location first opened, I had a lot of less than stellar experiences including my drink never being made within the time window when I mobile ordered, them not getting my mobile order ticket, not the best customer service and just really slow service overall! However over the recent months, the service has greatly improved, my drink is almost always ready much quicker and the experiences are better overall! In retrospect, I am glad that I waited to write a review so they could have a chance to show that they were working to make it a better experience! As a Starbucks fan and having visited many shops, I was super bummed at first but really glad to see that they have been able to take customer feedback and continually improve! This location is double the size of the old location off 21st which is a big improvement and it has a drive thru which is awesome! I will continue to frequent this shop and am hopeful it will continue to improve! read more

Great service and prompt. It is what you want when on a caffeine hunt. The place has great WiFi service available and plenty of seating. When one of my lattes wasn't right they made it so. Handled it without a blink. The incorrect one was discovered before I even took a sip ( confession by barista). She said if there is a friend you want to give it to please keep it. All in all a great experience as at times things aren't perfect... what matters most is how it is handled to make things right. read more

I was trapped in the drive-through at this location today for 20 minutes. When I got to the window the women there took my payment on my app immediately and then turned her back. While other people were rushing around her trying to get orders ready, she put her hands in her pockets and swayed side to side. When she turned my direction her eyes were closed. When I ask about my drink, she said they were getting others ready for the cars behind me because mine would take longer. Remember, I had been in line for 20 minutes prior to getting to the window. I was late for an appointment with a local business because I couldn't get out of line in the drive-through. When I called the manager at the store, he picked up on the sixth ring and apologized for my experience. That was all he said. I'm sorry for your experience. Don't go to this location unless you want to see the woman at the window with her eyes closed, swaying to imaginary music. read more

I visited this Starbucks about a week ago with a couple of my friends and I have to be honest, this was the WORST Starbucks I have ever visited. It took over 30 minutes for the 3 of us to receive our coffees. One of the orders of coffee was forgotten about and the employee that took the order had to be reminded and she said, OH IM SORRY I FORGOT. Forgot? When asked about another friends order she was met with a rude remark stating that the cold brew will be almost done just be patient. Just be patient? This Starbucks is amazing. The employees that work here are so kind... This morning I just got off of a 24 hour duty at work and was having a terrible morning. They greeted me with a smile and found out it was my birthday and they gave me my drink for free. It completely unexpected and it changed my mood for today and i'm so grateful. Some of the people here are friendly and great. They always remember my name and are the perfect person to have at the drive-thru window. However....there are way too many people working here and the great ones seem to be gone. I've had at least a dozen Ham and Cheese breakfast sandwiches that have had stale bread. It got so bad that I would check my sandwich before driving off. It's been better lately so I didn't think to check today....but when I got home...it was 50% stale and hard. If the Masters Golf tournament wasn't on I would have taken it back. I've complained before or gone inside to show them and they've credited me back. Most of the time I just pick off the stale bread. Today I decided the problem needs resolving. I can't be the only person this is happening to. I did reach out to the Manager who said she would look in to it. It wasn't burnt....it was hard, stale. I also emailed Corporate. They need to fix the problem. I'm probably going to avoid this location in the future. I never have any issues at any of the other locations in the area. read more

Every time I come here there's an issue and I come here everyday before work. Most recently my change flew away at the window and they decided to give me a gift card instead. Who are they to dictate how I want or where I want to spend my money. I don't really care about the money but it's the principle. Can't tell you how many times they got my order wrong. Gave me cold sandwiches. Were generally rude. Ignoring me. Nasty attitudes. One lady forcefully shoved my change in my hand one time after ignoring me and being extremely rude. Not to mention the wait times at this location are insanely long. Another time I wanted the pumpkin spice nitro cold brew which the lady nastily and condescending told me there's noo such thing. Which I've ordered that exact drink at that exact location before. There's PLENTY of other coffee shops in this area I'm going to start going to instead. This is ridiculous. I love this Starbucks. My coffee always tastes great and whenever I get food it's good too! I love this specific location because the employees are always super friendly. They know me by name and always say hello or good morning. There is one specific employee I don't know her name but she is very sweet and professional and has amazing attention to detail.
