Cotton candy tonic

We stopped at Brue Coffee as part of our Sippin' Sunday adventures, thanks to our local passport book--and I'm so glad we did! What a cute little coffee shop. There's a cozy couch in the back, a bar-top counter where you can watch your drinks being made, and a window seat if you want to people-watch while you sip. They also have outdoor seating, which is great if you're bringing your pup along. (Yes--they offer pup cups, too! ) I always like to try the summer special, and this time it was a Cotton Candy Tonic. Normally I'm not big on carbonated drinks, but this one was super refreshing and surprisingly tasty. I also tried their Mocha Cold Brew with Mocha Foam--not the best I've ever had, but definitely better than some others around town. I'd totally get it again. Food-wise, they don't bake in-house, but they partner with a local baker. I tried their croissant (asked them to warm it up), and wow--huge, flaky, buttery, and delicious. You could tell it was high-quality and fresh. Service was great, even though the shop was busy and only two people were working. The young lady helping me was newer and still in training, but she was super friendly and doing her best. Patience is key during peak hours, but it was worth the wait. Overall, Brue Coffee is adorable, vibey, and worth a stop if you're in the area--especially if you're looking for a new spot to add to your Sunday coffee circuit. I'd definitely go back!

I love Brue!! I've been here a few times and every time the coffee and food are delicious! And the vibes are so cute and cozy. I came today to try the new flights, and all 4 drinks were absolutely gorgeous and so so yummy! Our barista Liz was so friendly and accommodating and kind! Highly recommend Brue if you love coffee and cute cozy coffee shop vibes!

Coffee shops always nais their seasonal drinks, and this Chocolate Covered Strawberry Iced Latte from Brie Coffee Shop is no exception! The perfect Valentine's week treat, it's as delicious as it is Instagram-worthy ... pink strawberry cold foam piled on top, with chocolate drizzle melting down the sides of the cup. It looks indulgent, and trust me, it tastes even better. Mmm mmmm. The espresso is smooth and bold, balancing the sweetness of the strawberry and chocolate flavors without being overpowering. (I'm not a huge sweet coffee gal) The cold foam is light and creamy, adding the perfect hint of fruity sweetness, while the chocolate drizzle ties everything together. It's like sipping on a chocolate covered strawberry, but with the caffeine kick I need to get through the day. Brue Coffee itself has such a cozy and welcoming vibe. The baristas were super friendly! Whether you're grabbing a quick coffee to go or lingering for a bit, it's a great spot to relax and enjoy a quality drink. If you love fun, creative lattes that actually taste as good as they look, this one is a must-try before it's gone. I'll definitely be back to see what they come up with next!

This place is a really cute and cozy coffee shop with different sitting options (couches, recliners, bar seating, tables, and outdoor tables). I ordered one of their signature drinks, the hot s'mores latte. It was really tasty and not too sweet (most drinks I add a shot of espresso to cut down on the sugar, but I didn't need to with this one). The one downside was they somehow forgot about my drink until I asked where it was. I will say they did make up for it by offering to make it a large when I had ordered a small. They do offer food options, including pastries and build your own bagel or croissant. I might try one when I go back.

Cute coffee shop with a variety of seating and lemon water! The one barista I encountered was really helpful in deciding what I wanted and what I should try in the future. The bagel was a bit smaller than I expected but the tea was great. I'll come back for more!

We had originally planned to visit another local shop close by, but it was so busy that we knew we wouldn't enjoy the atmosphere, so we googled and found Brue! This cute little shop was exactly what we wanted. I ordered the brueberry freeze and it was so tasty! It wasn't an overwhelming berry taste, but it really complimented the espresso. We enjoyed sitting in the cute little booth and will definitely be back!

$7 black iced coffee. i added sugar and it did not help the taste.

Decided to give this place a try this morning despite the terrible reviews....i should have listened to! first issue, all of the prices on the menu are scribbled out (see photo) so it's truly a guessing game. i got a 20oz black iced coffee because that is the control in an experiment. if you can't make a plain iced coffee, you can't make anything... fyi it's $6.97 for this... which leads me to my second issue... there is a fee for using a card! i paid $7.25 for a plain iced coffee. that's criminal!!! third issue, the coffee is so bad. i had originally tried to order the yama cold brue but they ran out after the person in front of me ordered it. completely out.. at 9:30am.. so i settled for the regular "cold brue". it is so bitter and tastes old? i was a barista for a decade and an avid black iced coffee drinker and i've never had something like this.. i don't think sugar and cream could fix it. there were no dairy options listen anywhere on the boards or menu either so i am scared what they would charge for that. this place could be for you! maybe their other non coffee options and their food are good. i probably will not be back to find out. 2 stars because the lady that helped me was nice.

Shore Toast

The coffee wasn't very good but the cold foam on top was so good. We waited probably 15-20 min for our food and drinks because there was only one person working there doing the drinks and the food. The food was okay nothing crazy. The atmosphere was also okay. It was just a little dirty. Overall I probably wouldn't come back it was just mid.

Drink menu

Really expensive. There are no prices on the menu board. I ordered a small brewed coffee and it was $4.99 plus $1.00 for cream. $6.85 before tip. Brewed coffee was from a thermal carafe and was lukewarm. Coffee is ok but in this economy, this isn't something I can do regularly. They are understaffed as well.

Chopped Italian sandwich!
Mi Chelle M.

It was a tasty sandwich BUT it is a lot of bread and onions! They didn't put my bacon slices on it that I ordered, and they were out of lettuce! The tots had cheese that was over melted! Please save your money!

Brueberry breeze, you can see the dusting of blueberry :^)

This review actually has two great businesses because I visited Klassic Doughnut's food truck too! Ok first things first. Every Wednesday through this Summer Klassic Doughnuts food stand will be available at COVA 8-11 AM. They are in my opinion the best cake doughnuts in our area. They are a major draw for COVA. I purchased a few to go. With COVA I specifically wanted to try their coffee. I was blown away upon arrival to see their outdoor space. It's huge and beautiful. On a weekday at 11 AM without school even out was busy! The counter service was helpful and friendly. I told the staff I wanted a black coffee and was directed to what beans were being offered. I opted for an Ethiopian pour over. The coffee comes in a large and priced competitive. It took a bit with being busy and a pour over, but boy was the wait worth it. Probably the best coffee I've had in any recent memory and I drink a lot of coffee. The space inside is compact, but they offer a side patio that's covered too! COVA is late to offering coffee, maybe 5 years or so. However, they are established with brewing award winning beer. I chatted with a female brewer a minute who was so sweet and invited me back for a glass. They also have a bakery case with offerings that looked good. So I need to return. So exciting to share such a gem in East Beach. Parking may be an issue, but off street neighborhood streets are available.

I like that while it is in Norfolk technically, it is super close to where I live in Virginia Beach. We tried their seasonal blueberry crumble latte and also had their Irish coffee. Both were very good ! I will say, they do not have a liquor license, so the Irish coffee does not come with Whiskey. Perfectly fine with me but wanted to set the expectation! I also tried their seasonal blueberry sweet cream and ohhh my goodness I wish I could buy a some to take home. So fresh, so good! The staff was super nice, and the outside area is a huge space with a variety of seating arrangements. It was a chillier morning and I do wish the fire pits were going but otherwise, super great, relaxing place to be! I really enjoyed my morning with my sister thanks to Cova!

It was my first time, it doesn't look like much on the outside, but definitely when you step you feel transported. Reminds you of cute small bistro you would find in Europe, but we're lucky we have one here! The furniture is modern and the decore is cute with a coastal feeling. I couldn't wait to try the breakfast platter, and I am so happy I did! Look how healthy and beautiful my platter is (see pics). I had the balsamic vinegar on the side. Also, just a tip.. if you do not want salt preadded to your eggs or anything else just let them know. The pic I took is the owner and local farmer that supplies the fresh eggs! So folks you know it's fresh and delicious! If you want to support both your local restaurant and farmer this is the place! You will love it! I can't wait to go back and try their other dishes.

From the moment I walked in, the owner was incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. You can tell right away that this is a place run with heart and pride. While placing my order, I had time to browse, and wow! this place is a little Italian dream. They offer a variety of handmade biscotti and classic pastries like napoleons, tiramisu, berry tarts, and rich chocolate cakes that all looked straight out of a bakery in Italy. Everything felt authentic and thoughtfully curated, not mass produced. They also carry Italian imported olive oil and a beautiful selection of deli meats, including capocollo, mortadella with pistachio, prosciutto crudo, ham, salami, and sopressata, plus cheeses like mozzarella di bufala and stracchino. It's the kind of place where you can build the most incredible antipasto board or grab specialty items you can't easily find elsewhere. If you have time to linger, they also offer a variety of Italian wines by the glass or bottle, representing different regions of Italy. It makes the space feel even more like a neighborhood market meets cafe, perfect for picking up catering, desserts, or just treating yourself. The penne alla vodka was a hit at the party! It was creamy, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Everyone kept asking where it was from. I can't wait to have it again Between the warm service, authentic offerings, and standout food, this place is a gem. I'll absolutely be back, whether it's for catering, pastries, or just to browse and grab a glass of wine!
