Saturday morning coffee with the girls and we ended up here! I ordered the Toasted Marshmallow matcha: I would say this cafe makes a reasonably good matcha by the way it wasn't just shaken with the milk. We stopped at Brue Coffee as part of our Sippin' Sunday adventures, thanks to our local passport book--and I'm so glad we did! What a cute little coffee shop. There's a cozy couch in the back, a bar-top counter where you can watch your drinks being made, and a window seat if you want to people-watch while you sip. They also have outdoor seating, which is great if you're bringing your pup along. (Yes--they offer pup cups, too! ) I always like to try the summer special, and this time it was a Cotton Candy Tonic. Normally I'm not big on carbonated drinks, but this one was super refreshing and surprisingly tasty. I also tried their Mocha Cold Brew with Mocha Foam--not the best I've ever had, but definitely better than some others around town. I'd totally get it again. Food-wise, they don't bake in-house, but they partner with a local baker. I tried their croissant (asked them to warm it up), and wow--huge, flaky, buttery, and delicious. You could tell it was high-quality and fresh. Service was great, even though the shop was busy and only two people were working. The young lady helping me was newer and still in training, but she was super friendly and doing her best. Patience is key during peak hours, but it was worth the wait. This place is a really cute and cozy coffee shop with different sitting options (couches, recliners, bar seating, tables, and outdoor tables). I ordered one of their signature drinks, the hot s'mores latte. It was really tasty and not too sweet (most drinks I add a shot of espresso to cut down on the sugar, but I didn't need to with this one). The one downside was they somehow forgot about my drink until I asked where it was. I will say they did make up for it by offering to make it a large when I had ordered a small. They do offer food options, including pastries and build your own bagel or croissant. I might try one when I go back. read more

We had originally planned to visit another local shop close by, but it was so busy that we knew we wouldn't enjoy the atmosphere, so we googled and found Brue! This cute little shop was exactly what we wanted. I ordered the brueberry freeze and it was so tasty! It wasn't an overwhelming berry taste, but it really complimented the espresso. I chose to stop here while on a work trip because the website showed a menu with real breakfast food, however, when I arrived I was told they were changing their menu and no longer serving eggs. Decided to give this place a try this morning despite the terrible reviews....i should have listened to! first issue, all of the prices on the menu are scribbled out (see photo) so it's truly a guessing game. i got a 20oz black iced coffee because that is the control in an experiment. if you can't make a plain iced coffee, you can't make anything... fyi it's $6.97 for this... which leads me to my second issue... there is a fee for using a card! i paid $7.25 for a plain iced coffee. that's criminal!!! third issue, the coffee is so bad. i had originally tried to order the yama cold brue but they ran out after the person in front of me ordered it. completely out.. at 9:30am.. so i settled for the regular "cold brue". it is so bitter and tastes old? i was a barista for a decade and an avid black iced coffee drinker and i've never had something like this.. i don't think sugar and cream could fix it. there were no dairy options listen anywhere on the boards or menu either so i am scared what they would charge for that. this place could be for you! maybe their other non coffee options and their food are good. i probably will not be back to find out. 2 stars because the lady that helped me was nice. read more

Made a trip here while my favorite coffee house was being renovated. We got their 45 mins to closing and right from the start the barista seemed irritated with us coming in. She mentioned they were closing soon when I replied we were getting it to go. Conveniently she's said her frother was down aka did not want to clean it again. Drinks were mediocre at the best took a sip or two and trashed them. Reading the reviews now I would have never gave this place a chance nor will I ever waist my time again. Really expensive. There are no prices on the menu board. I ordered a small brewed coffee and it was $4.99 plus $1.00 for cream. $6.85 before tip. Brewed coffee was from a thermal carafe and was lukewarm. Coffee is ok but in this economy, this isn't something I can do regularly. They are understaffed as well. read more

Joined Yelp just to say how disappointed I was in my visit here. Walked a mile with my 8 month old in the stroller to have a cute coffee date moment and was treated like an inconvenience. I asked where the tip jar was, was condescendingly told where it was (right in front of me) and not thanked when I put $1 and some change in it...fine. But then she brought my food out. I thanked her. No response. As I listened to her ring up the other guests, I realized this person seemed annoyed with every customer. I said thank you on my way out , and again no response. I love supporting local but not at the cost of basic customer service skills. Nice little coffee shop! They're a relatively new cafe, so they weren't super busy on a Saturday afternoon, but I'm sure once more word gets out, they'll be bustling. The cafe has lots of seating options, and there are even a few small tables outside to sit at on the warmer days. The baristas were really nice and gave me recommendations on what to get from their menu, and I decided on the brueberry breeze which is espresso with blueberry syrup and blueberry dust. I've never had blueberry coffee, but trying it here with their rendition was not bad at all! It was an interesting flavor mixed with the strong coffee, didn't blow me away really but good for a pick me up. Brue's menu seems like a good variety of things though, as well as offering a selection of pastries, I'd definitely come back to explore their menu more and see what they have to offer! read more

Is anyone allowed to come here? I genuinely ask that question because my daughter and I came today, very excited for brunch before she starts back to school and walked in and stood at the counter. Three employees looked at us standing there as we stood there, looking around on everyone at their laptops, a laptop and some bills were at the bar next to me... the girls wPeking were just talking. My daughter and I picked up a menu that was laying near us and started discussing what we'd order. I told my daughter "this feels weird, are we allowed to be here? no one is saying anything to us" My daughter with tears in her eyes said "I feel so awkward can we leave?" so we did and went to a restaurant down the street.
