I said I wanted to start trying different coffee places and passed Joyu taking my dog to the vet, so I decided to give it a try. I got a caramel macchiato, because I wanted to be able to compare one of their drinks to something I am familiar with. I did not care too much for their version of the caramel macchiato. While sweet, it didnt taste like caramel at all. I also didn't like that there was no whipped cream. While I wouldn't ever get that again, they do have a variety of drinks with some unique flavors and toppings. It's a small place, more commercial than cozy. Maybe I will come back and try something different.

I've been to the other location, and had to try this new location. And small cute modern decore with seating on right side of the register and window seating as well. I ordered thr "Purple Starlight" with Boba, and I couldn't resist and order one of their cute cakes "Bunny" I'm all about Taro, so the drink was so good! But the Bunny cake was even better. It was soft and moist like a cream pudding texture . The flavor was strawberry cream and the bottom was a crumble. I am definitely gonna go back and try their other cakes. They are a little pricey l, but it's all good to treat yourself l!

This location is located next to Noodle Man taking their new neighbor spot. They are on their 2nd week of service. The place has a few window bar seats and 2 pairs of seating with a mini table at each. They have monitor and handheld menus. I bordered the creamy brew that have a variety of foam flavors. I opted for an iced drink - there is a hot option as well. The drink was smooth and lightly sweet as well. The cheese danish was warmed up but wasn't as warm, but tasted good. The service was very polite and the music was comforting as well. Looking forward to a return experience.

So happy I finally got to try this new boba place out! First off, it's in a pretty good shopping location with plenty of parking. The shop was clean, airy, and modern with friendly workers. This place is better for small crowds. There were a few bar stools and 4 big chairs. If it's your first time going, be sure to get a punch card. 2nd visit, you get 20% off. 6th visit is 15% off. 10th visit, you get a free item. I got the Taro Cloudy Cafe Latte, BrownSugar FreshMilk, and the Cookie 'N Cream Croffle. Taro was def my favorite, and I love how the croffle looked like a popsicle. Can't wait to try the other menu items! Will bring friends and family here for sure!

1045 Independence Blvd Virginia Beach, VA 23455 Monday - Sunday 9a - 9pm I am so glad we have a Joyu near me. It is easy to order, fast, and simple. The staff here has amazing customer service. Theyre always will to help and aside from the drinks and food they add to your experience. This location is a bit smaller than others but they make up for it with their quality. I am a fan of their yogurt slushies. Their Phin Coffee was good too with its caffeine boost. As for food their Bahn Mi was very. flavorful and their croffles were soooooo good! You'll definitely find me at this location! Thank you Joyu Tea and Coffee! see the full review at: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DL9Ci91tt9l/?igsh=MXc5eG1wOXZhdW11Zw==

Delicious and so cute!!!! You can choose self service or order at the kiosk. Saw the pastries and absolutely had to try the panda mousse cake! Will be returning to try other teas and their Bahn Mi!

I had such a lovely experience coming in. I'm a huge fan of Joyu, so I had to get over to the new location. It's very little and cute. It gives lovely cafe vibes, and I appreciate that. This new location does banh mi as well, and I think that's so cool! We can in and were immediately greeted and our orders taken. I went with moonlight lychee, and my bf went with lemon strawberry tea. Both were made with fresh fresh tea, and were utterly delicious as expected with the Joyu brand! The banh mi was super fresh and yummy as well. I truly enjoyed my visit, and will be back! They open at 9am, and that's awesome because I'm an early riser and I love my fresh tea!

Cute little place for a quick bite and refreshments. No public restrooms. Limited seating. I had the green zen strawberry croffle. It was topped with green matcha cream. Not sure if the croffle batter was supposed to have strawberry in it. I couldn't tell. Adding strawberry on top helped with the flavor. The Taro cloudy cafe latte was not too sweet, at least for me. I added boba, which were mostly hydrated well. There were some boba pearls that were not the consistency that I prefer. Overall I would recommend.

Service was friendly but slow despite the fact they were not busy. However, the place is clean, bright and spare. We ordered the mango matcha dream, which was refreshing on a hot afternoon!

JoyU Tea & Coffee is my favorite place to get my matcha and coffee needs. Especially, matcha! Their Japanese Matcha Series is top tier drinks that I always choose from. I also love their croffles. So Yummy! The service that they provide has always been great. The people that there are so friendly. The coffee is cozy and neat. I love the convenience of ordering three different ways. You can either order at the register, kiosk tablet, or you can either order straight from your phone.

This passion fruit mousse cake was to die for! Its super cute and delicious! Chill Panda Mousse

Way better boba you can get literally anywhere else, korean corndogs that would taste way better if they were authentic. Then mochi donuts. Basic base with sloppy icing and toppings on top. On top of that, the prices were just too high for what you actually get. Mochi donuts already tend to be a bit pricier, but in this case, the quality and taste just didn't justify the cost. The texture was alright, but the flavors themselves were underwhelming and didn't have that rich, satisfying taste you'd expect at that price point. The experience was also affected by the atmosphere behind the counter. The workers seemed inexperienced and overwhelmed, which made the environment feel hectic and unorganized. Service was slower than expected, and there wasn't much sense of efficiency or confidence from the staff. P.S. Banana milk tea tastes like laffy taffy. Yuck! I expected something like banana milk at LEAST!

No tables or seats inside, doesn't seems like there is much ac so don't expect to chill inside the shop. This is a grab a drink and go. I ordered the coffee milk tea + lychee jelly on my first visit. That wasn't a good combination because the lychee jelly actually throw the coffee milk tea off. My husband had the pina colada slush and that was alright. My matcha green tea mochi ice cream was not green tea enough, but alright. Now the passion fruit mochi ice cream is just not for me. I took one bite and just shove that to my husband to finish the rest. Hahaa. The second time I visited I ordered house milk tea with honey boba. This time it was much better. I finished my drink quick too so definitely no complains on that one. My husband ordered a coffee milk tea with coffee jelly to prove to me that the drink with lychee jelly is not a good combination. The boba was soft and chewy, and the milk tea had a good tea flavor. Will try again if I'm ever in visiting.

Stopped by Tea Lux Cafe for a lil boba break and boyyy... this place is a must-sip spot…read more I ordered the Oat Brown Sugar Fresh Milk with boba and physically said "mmm" out loud like I was in a food commercial. Easily one of the best brown sugar flavors I've ever had. Rich. Creamy. Life-changing. Because I make reckless (and delicious) decisions, I also tried the New Blueberry Matcha Latte -- kinda like if blueberry pie and matcha had a sweet little baby. A bit sweet for me, maybe because I didn't give it a full mix... or maybe because I needed to add boba. Either way, still vibed with it. Grabbed some food to-go but peeped the vibe inside -- super cute, perfect for laptop warriors and remote work fam. Ordering at the kiosk was easy, and staff were super helpful if you had questions or just looked confused (me, always). Food-wise I picked from staff's favorites: Spicy Bulgogi Banh Mi (with egg) -- Solid crunch. Flavor was decent, but could've used more bulgogi. Will definitely go extra spicy next time. Fried Buttered Corn -- crunchy, buttery, and served with sausage. It had a lot going on flavor-wise. Fun to try, but next time I'd probably go for the popcorn chicken instead. Final verdict: Come for the drinks -- I'll be sprinting back to try the whole menu. ‍ Food was decent -- a quick, easy spot for a light bite while you sip something fun.
