I was super excited to stop by the new, The Whale Tea location since it's not too far from my house. With the weather getting warmer, I was craving a refreshing, fruit drink so I figured it would be the perfect spot to get one. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the "New Drink" sign so I figured why not try one out. The new drinks were the Mango Pomelo and Strawberry Pomelo. Since the Strawberry Pomelo caught my attention, I asked how it's made and was told that it had a smoothie-like texture so I was sold lol. There were 3 people ahead of me waiting for their orders and it took 10 mins for them to prepare my drink. The Strawberry Pomelo was really good though. It had chunks of pomelo at the bottom and it wasn't super sweet at all. I will definitely be returning but I hope the wait time improves a bit. I noticed that they have a new arrival of corn dogs which will be a great addition to the menu. They do offer macarons, tiramisu and other items as well as their drinks. Definitely stop in and check them out!!!

It's finally open!!!! So happy to have real boba down the street from my house. We came on opening day and they were offering specials for their grand opening! We ordered lychee slush, strawberry slush, matcha and fresh mango milk. Everything was delicious and the boba was cooked perfectly - soft and still chewy. The flavors were perfect and not too sweet. You do have the option to choose your sweetness, ice and toppings. The space is beautiful with lots of tables to sit and enjoy your drink. We will definitely be here often so I went ahead and signed up for their free membership to get some perks. The staff is friendly and welcoming so be sure to drop by for some fresh boba drinks!!

The new location for the 2nd store is close to my house so I came had the seasonal drinks Mongo pomelo and strawberry mongo pomelo I like the left one much better I let the strawberry sit too long so it separated so drinking that slow. I haven't been to the first location for a few months which was summer of 2023 been to e-mart, but time wise was no good for me since it open later I always go during 8am. Inside was pretty clean and spacious, service was friendly and helpful. Was asked if I needed a bag for my drinks...I think the drinks wouldn't be good in the bag since my drinks had the bear lid with a hole so I was decline the bag. I will go next time to get the fruit tea that I have not tried yet.

The Whale Tea is a splendid addition to the small shopping center on Nimmo Parkway adjacent to Red Mill Commons. The store adds more culinary and culture variety to the now sprawling utopia that is southeastern Virginia Beach. I tried the brown sugar milk tea with boba and it was delicious. I had it with only 30% sugar and was still able to enjoy the drink. They have a plethora of different tea options so I'm excited to go back and try different flavors.

Great service. This is right by my house. I'm so excited they are so close. I'm already a fan. Staff is so friendly. You can tell they are excited to have a new store open. Inside nice and clean with plenty of seating. I got the classic brown sugar milk tea. Yummmmm. Put perfect amount of sugar and perfect amount of ice.

Yum! The boba was so fresh it was still warm in my cup! The crème brûlée brown sugar milk tea was such a classic taste and sweet enough for me! (And I like sweet) the mango fresh milk milk tea was really good as well! The cups are sooo cute and the staff is quick and friendly.

The Whale Tea, a small Boba shop, impressed with its cleanliness, peaceful ambiance, and welcoming staff. Prices were reasonable for Boba. I indulged in the crème brûlée brown sugar Boba, milk foam grape tea, and strawberry slush--all delightful. While brown sugar remains my top choice, I'm eagerly anticipating exploring more flavors at Whale Tea.

Welcome to the Redmill area! My girls and I stopped by and enjoyed our visit. Peter was very friendly and helpful. They offer self checkout kiosks to help with a smooth checkout. I had a few questions about the menu and the staff was very helpful - no attitudes. We ordered two slush drinks and two milk teas. Overall, we enjoyed the milk teas however the slush drinks were average - my daughter preferred the mango slush from Tealuxe. Happy to see a boba shop in the area. We'll be back for sure!

This place is so cute and the boba is really good. Not many options for the drinks, but the ones they do have are worth a try!

I've been wanting to try Khoalitea for a while since it's right in my neighborhood so I was very excited to see what drinks they offered. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and couldn't help but notice the super cute tables and decor. They even had a small pool table in the back lol. Since there wasn't anyone there, we had time to scan the menu. We both decided on Organic Lemonade drinks, I chose mine with Passion Fruit & Strawberry Bursting Boba. They also offer matchas, Vietnamese coffees, fruit teas, coconut waters and slushies along with Vietnamese sandwiches and snacks. It took no time for our drinks to be made and we both enjoyed them but they were a tad bit sweet for our liking, I'm sure it was due to the added flavored syrup. They've only been open a year but I can see this place being pretty busy this Summer. I'll definitely be back to try some of the other drink options. Definitely stop in if you're in the area!

There were so many drink options! & The staff here is so sweet, they'll answer any questions you have with a smile! I got the Taro bubble tea and my man got the strawberry lemonade. The boba was perfectly chewy, too. I tried my boyfriend's lemonade and omg! It was so tart and sweet and absolutely delicious! The cup was very cute too. I love the heart adornment! We put this place as number one after we drank our drinks. After dinner we had our donuts and it was so good. I questioned if my boyfriend even tasted his lol. It was gone so fast. The pistachio one was really good too. I didn't want a super sweet donut and this one hit the mark. Just sweet enough with pistachio crumbles on top. As I said, this place is number one. We will definitely be back because this is my favorite location to get a fun drink now! We also definitely want to try some of the other foods, like the Korean hot dogs and waffle fries!

No tables or seats inside, doesn't seems like there is much ac so don't expect to chill inside the shop. This is a grab a drink and go. I ordered the coffee milk tea + lychee jelly on my first visit. That wasn't a good combination because the lychee jelly actually throw the coffee milk tea off. My husband had the pina colada slush and that was alright. My matcha green tea mochi ice cream was not green tea enough, but alright. Now the passion fruit mochi ice cream is just not for me. I took one bite and just shove that to my husband to finish the rest. Hahaa. The second time I visited I ordered house milk tea with honey boba. This time it was much better. I finished my drink quick too so definitely no complains on that one. My husband ordered a coffee milk tea with coffee jelly to prove to me that the drink with lychee jelly is not a good combination. After trying his drink, yea i gotta agree the coffee jelly would be much better off.

I ordered takeout, but the restaurant itself has plenty of seating. When I walked in, I was greeted right away and directed to the counter to order. The service was quick--I didn't have to wait long at all, which is always a plus. I started with the beef skewer, which came with a very small side of salad--just a couple slices of cucumber, some tomatoes, and a bit of lettuce with dressing. It was a nice surprise since I wasn't expecting anything extra, but if you're looking for a real side salad, you might want to order one separately. The beef skewer itself was delicious--tender, easy to bite into, and the slightly charred ends added great flavor. Definitely a solid appetizer or side. For my main, I got the vegetarian pho with extra tofu and no mushrooms, and it really hit the spot. The broth was flavorful and comforting. I added jalapeños and oyster sauce, and honestly, I couldn't eat it fast enough. The noodles and veggies were fresh and satisfying. Overall, a great experience--I'll definitely be back!
