I came here once in a while when the itch of Poke Bowl calls my name, and I've never had any bad experience with them. Their Japanese dishes like ramen and takoyaki were far from authentic, but it's not bad when you're just lazy to cook. Other than their Poke Bowls, I've tried their Pork broth ramen, Fried wings with garlic soy and Takoyaki. First, with the Poke Bowl, the ingredients are always fresh and the portion of both ingredients and rice/greens is generous. My favorite protein is spicy tuna cuz they're fresh and has a kick to it but not too spicy. The wings are always hot and fresh. The skin was super crispy and I just can't get enough with the garlic soy sauce. It's well balanced with sweetness and savory. The takoyaki was okay, can't compare with the real takoyaki I've had but it has everything a takoyaki has(octopus, cabbage, sauce and mayo etc.). The raman however, I don't recommend. The soup tasted like instant noodle powder soup and the egg was overcooked for a ramen egg. The other ingredients were okay but far from authentic. Overall get the poke bowls and wings! read more

I had just finished a Target run and runs always make me thirsty LOL. I noticed Domoishi was just a few doors over, so perfect! Stopped in for a super quick in and out visit. Upon entry, I was greeted promptly. I went over to the self order kiosk. I like the concept and it's probably great when it's buys but probably not the best for people like me that like to ask 100 questions haha. This is why, in my Utopia, robots could never replaces humans haha. I did place my order through the system and it was pretty straight forward, but still ended up speaking with the staff. I was in the mood for a fruity drink so the Lychee Rose was enticing. I ended up going with that and adding Strawberry popping boba. I just thought they would go together and I was right! Yum! There were slices of lemon and lime in it too. Super refreshing! The pricing is separate. There is a base price for the tea and then each topping is an additional charge. The cups are the tall ones, so I thought it was a good amount for the price and they didn't load it with ice so I appreciated that! I am a sweet person, but I thought it was the right level of sweet~ I can't comment on the food at this location, but I have had food from another Domoishi location and I thought the Korean Style chicken wings were pretty good, but I would skip the ramen. I'll have to give the poke a try. Overall, great place for boba teas and customer service was friendly at this spot. Side note: only thing is, it's a bit confusing. There was Molly Ramen signage inside the store and the cup was a Molly cup. Did one brand buy the other? Loveeeee molly ramen. I used to prefer from the one at lynnhaven before they moved over here. I'm in love with their ramen. They always have little gifts too. Like if you order over a certain amount, you get something free. It's a nice way to try new things without having to buy them in case you hate them. The sushi is pretty good too, but I come for the ramen. Spicy miso, no meat, no fish cake or seaweed and an extra soy egg. So tasty and flavorful. My fav ramen. read more

Domoishi has awesome poke bowls, ramen and boba tea! My favorite item to get is definitely the poke bowl. I always order the spicy tuna and salmon, loaded with avocado, cucumber, edamame, green onion, crab salad, and mango. I top it off with a drizzle of sriracha mayo and garnish it with roasted seaweed. It's so delicious! My favorite boba tea is the house milk tea which is their premium house blend black tea with cream and boba, it's so refreshing and definitely enjoyable. read more

This place is a great poke, Korean wings, simple sushi (not too many varieties but great basics), boba and tea place. Literally every item on the menu is delicious. Their ordering is simplified because they only take orders via self service kiosks or online via Yelp, grub hub etc. Of all the local domoishi franchisees' locations, this one is the best. Everything is fresh, packaged really well, always high quality ingredients and the building is nice and newer. Love this place and could eat here every day. read more

Decided to try this spot since it is close by. I love bubble tea so I was hoping this would be good so I can get my fix closer to home. I was disappointed with their bubble tea though. The boba was over cooked and the flavor was lacking. We also ordered the shumai which was good and we also got their Korean style wings which was good as well. I would like to go back to try their poke. It's a good place to grab something quick but I would get bubble tea else where. read more

Really loved it here! The place was decorated nicely and had a cool vibe. He was stoked that they had both poke and ramen AND we could get bubble tea all at the same time, so we did! :) I built my own ramen and ate the entire thing! (I usually have to take half home) Everything was fresh and delicious. He enjoyed his pork ramen - they were very generous with the pork too. Our boba drinks were good and everything was served very quickly. I wish I lived near one, but we'll be sure to visit whenever we are in the area. read more

Domoishi has been popping up all over the Hampton Roads and each location operates a bit differently. I am very used to how one location operates but it's good to see how other locations operate. This location allow inside seating. Customer service was ok. I prefer to order my items on the iPad but there is only one iPad so the lady behind the register took our order. However, I felt rushed to order and I can not remember every ingredient off the top of my head unless I see it on a screen. My poke bowl wasn't mixed well. I watched the lady mix mine and she overly sauced my bowl. I felt like I was eating soup not a poke bowl. My kids enjoyed their ramen and the chicken wings. She didn't give me my poke bowl until the ramen and wings were out which took a while. One thing consistent between all Domoishi locations is the taste of the wings. My husband and kids think they have one of the best wings. Recommend they improve how they put together a poke bowl proportionately and not overly sauced. In addition, the Buckner Farm location has great customer service, maybe they can share the same level of customer service. read more

*During COVID-19 review* This location of Domoishi is in the Red Mill Walk shopping center off of Upton. It's in the little row beside Target, where Cycle Bar and Flip Flops are. Upon entering you'll notice that every other table is blocked off, good for social distance. I myself am still more comfy with taking food to-go these days. Domoishi serves Korean fried chicken, poke bowls, and boba and milk tea drinks. We chose to create our own bowls...it always looks super delicious but when we ate them, it was a bit underwhelming. I will definiltely stick to the Korean fried chicken. Our drinks were amazing though. Prices I feel are a bit steep. 2 poke bowls and 2 drinks... casual little to go dinner was $40 plus tip. The pork broth and the pork was delicious but the Ramen noodles were hard like overcooked. That was really disappointing. My daughters Ramen noodles were also really overcooked. The last few times I placed a to go order it didn't taste the same and the serving was less for more money. I was really disappointed when I found out Molly Ramen had taken over. I ordered a poke bowl from another Molly restaurant and it had an awful taste, like dish soap. Even the Gyoza doesn't taste the same. I popped in at 9:40. Both employees were sitting down with masks pulled down and one said loudly "We're closed" while not even looking up from his phone. I just said "Okay" and went outside and re-checked the sign and wouldn't you know it they close at 10. On the way there I looked online to double check before I drove there for some ramen to make sure they didn't close at 9. I work food service I get it when customers come in a few mins to close is annoying but 20 mins and both of you are sitting down, doors are unlocked, and the open sign is on...come on guys at least turn that off and pretend to be more closed if you want to fake being closed. I don't even usually write reviews because I know it can come off as being a Karen but I'm a regular and always tip and my order is never complicated. This energy was giving "we're on tik tok and we don't wanna make your shit so we're gonna say we're closed." I'm not gonna say some wack shit like "I won't begin going back here!" Cause that's weak but from one food service employee to another you should at least lock the doors and turn off the sign if you aren't gonna follow your own open to close rules. read more

This place is incredibly slow. They have a single self order kiosk, so you're at the mercy of the speed of the customers in front of you figuring out how to navigate the menu. Then the single person working the counter slowly makes everything as it comes in. There are also two people in the kitchen, but they don't seem to be doing anything related to the customers or their orders. I came in to order 3 boba teas. It took over 30 minutes.
