Good portions, friendly people, tons of sitting area, and large menu. Pretty clean and would come again.

I ordered the Create your own bowl, so much favorites to choose...almost endless.

This is the former Molly Poke Ramen restaurant. Same exact spot, just new owners and posted new menu items. Boba tea and other milk teas. The selections are vast. This bowl is a "Make your own bowl " small size completely filled me up. I love the fresh selections. The restaurant has shower curtains to separate the customer pick up area from the preparation area. Servers wore plastic gloves to make the bowls. When ordering takeout, you order on a IPad. I did not see anyone come out and wipe the screen down ,but hand sanitizer is available . I devoured the entire bowl, even though I was fill it was just so good. First time here but not the last.

This review is based on one visit. What a pleasant surprise to find this tiny excellent place in a strip mall. Don't be misled by a dining room with few diners. You'll quickly realize Ouka Sora does a brisk take-out business. I built a poke bowl with truly tasty salmon, seaweed salad, furikake flakes, and perfectly cooked brown rice . Poke sauce was outstanding. I had a wonderful meal and would happily return here!

Love this place. Food was excellent. The reusable bag is a plus. We been my regular spot.

Different angle of the same bug

Normally I don't write reviews but this one was well needed. The customer service was good, the cashier was very nice and helpful. I ordered a Dirty Sugar Black Milk Tea w/ boba. The tea was delicious! I almost drank all of it before pulling out the parking lot. The food tasted pretty decent, it wasn't the "BEST", but I had worse. Unfortunately, while eating my rice I noticed a burnt little piece of "rice". After isolating the rice and analyzing it a little more, I noticed it wasn't rice. It wasn't rice at all, instead it was a BUG! I felt so disgusted and realized, have I been eating worms the whole time. Anyways, all in all the food was ok, but the kitchen could be a little more careful.

Overall, this is a decent spot for various Japanese, Hawaiian and Korea fare. The ramen isn't anything special and lacks the taste of that 24 hour schedule one experiences in Japan. Having now tried the Ouka Sura miso and tonkatsu broth, I can say that I suspect they are mass produced concentrates. The noodles are decent, albeit mass produced as well. The biggest disappointment with the ramen was the pork. Way too dry. I had to soak the slices in the broth to moisten and eat them last once palatable. We also ordered a kids chicken and rice and it was a little disappointing too as the chicken was over cooked and chewy, but still somewhat flavorful. As for the Poke, this is Ouka Sura's strong point, everything seemed relatively fresh and tasty, and the presentation is appealing as well. My son also approved of the boba tea, so I'll credit them with that as well. I will like be back for the Poke and perhaps boba, but the other offerings aren't much of a draw.

Good variety of Asian cuisine and clean environment. More of a Panda Express than a date night place.

Very filling, I've only tried their bowls which have very generous portions. Good for the price ( its imitation crab).

So I recently went to Daikichi Sushi. I hadn't been there since a few years ago and honestly back…read morethen, went there looking for great ramen. I wasn't impressed and didn't return. So I went back for their sushi as it felt unfair to rate them on ramen when their specialty was sushi. There are very few sushi places actually owned and run by Japanese outside of big cities, people rave about this place, and I'm all for supporting them. I did order the ramen again hoping it changed. It was ok, but I resigned it is not the place for ramen. However, I will say their sushi and other appetizers are great, no lie. But my recent visit left a bad taste despite their great food. When we arrived, about 6pm, the waitress told me and my teenage daughter, "only the bar was available". There were 2 4-person tables that could be separated for a table for 2. And I noticed 2 couples already there sitting at 4 person tables. So I asked the waitress why are they seated at the tables? She said they arrived earlier and now they need to keep the tables open Ok, I get that, even though they only opened an hour ago. It's Saturday night, so I'll go with that. Well, shortly after putting in our order at the bar, I see them seat 2 people at one of the 4-person tables. And then shortly after that, they separated the other 4 seater into 2 tables and sat 2 more couples that arrived at each table. Now, I'm raising an eyebrow. I didn't say anything but before I left, I said to the waitress, I couldn't help but notice there were several couples seated at tables after us. She said oh, that couple knows the owner, referring to the first couple seated at a 4 person table (they didn't even separate the table). Ok I figured that when the owner gave a loud and enthusiastic good bye to them and the diner looked Japanese. I replied to the waitress, but then you all seated 2 more couples and pulled the table apart to accommodate them. She replied that the boss ordered them to separate the tables but he rarely does. I replied that we had arrived well before any of those 3 couples and were told we couldn't sit at the table. She just shrugged as if to say she was just following the boss' order. I left the usual 20% tip because I know the waitress didn't make the decision and she gave great service and the sushi was great. However, that said, the blatant preference of other customers felt insulting and left a super disappointing taste in my mouth. And no, they were not all Japanese. Just that one diner. The owner clearly picked and chose to not give us a table, for whatever biased reason. I could understand if I were alone or my daughter was 8, but she looks clearly like an adult. It just really sat wrong with me and left me upset enough that I question returning. It's very unfortunate that an otherwise great experience was marred by this blatant refusal to seat my daughter and I at a table, only to have salt rubbed into the wound by seating numerous couples that followed at a table, by separating the tables. They didn't even offer to seat us at the traditional tables, all of which were empty at the time we arrived. To me, the authentic Japanese sushi was not worth the insulting unexplained preference to seat other customers after us at a table. PS: the only sushi roll I didn't like was the real crab California roll. The real crab was grey and cold and tasted so fishy, I asked to make sure it was cooked real crab and not raw. (They said it was cooked). I guess I was expecting real Alaska crab white crab and it was not this at all.

But what sets this place apart are the low tables where you fit on padded floor cushions on wooden backs. They even provide slippers for you to dog on the platform that's lined with sisal mat. To the far end is a rock garden. Very zen indeed. I was seated by the sushi bar. I had green tea. Waiting for my order of ramen with spicy miso. The umami orbits broth was great. I wish it had more crunch to it than just the kimchi. Also the pork was slightly cold, they didn't warm up to temp with the broth.

I ordered the tonkotsu ramen and that broth deserved a moment of silence. Rich, savory, deeply flavorful, with just enough chili oil to give it a little attitude without setting my mouth on fire. The eggs were cooked perfectly and seasoned so well I briefly considered ordering a side of just eggs. We also got salmon onigiri and let me save someone from making our same hungry mistake: one order is definitely enough for two people to share unless you came in after a marathon or something. We ordered two because the menu made them seem innocent and petite; they are not. Delicious though. The ebi shumai was also excellent, and even the hot green tea hit the spot. Zero complaints about the food. Everything came out fast, hot, and tasting like somebody in that kitchen actually cares. Service was super quick, though there was one slightly funny moment when our server came to take the order, we said we needed a minute... and she just stood there silently at the table like this was some kind of pressure-based game show. Not rude, just a little intense for people who like to pretend they need time before ordering the exact same thing they already wanted. The restaurant itself is small, simple, mom-and-pop vibes. No frills, just good food. Personally, I love places like this because they usually spend less money on decor and more money on making sure the broth is good. No wait, plenty of parking, fast service, and food that made us clean the bowls. I'll definitely be back.
