Not the best starbucks in the area. I went to this one only twice, but I would not go back. The service is bad and the drinks are just ok.

Today was a happy accident. Originally the search was for a place that we had assumed was in…read moreNewtown Square, but was actually in Newtown; much too far to go to for an impromptu breakfast unless we were prepared for a small trip. However, this is the circumstances that led me to Rolling Stars. Not knowing what to expect whatsoever, except that I read that they served bagels, I was blown away by the offerings and the quality of everything they have, and will definitely be coming back to try some other menu items in the near future! Not only do they make almost everything from scratch, homemade here, with the bagels obviously being their signature item, everything is fresh, bold and wonderful. They even have a daily soup that is prepared by hand, that is available all day long, even for breakfast. If you've read any of my other reviews, you know that this is a game changer for me. Their coffee drinks are very good, and while not the best I have had, they are fun, tasty and they will make special additions simply if you've ask. In my case I ordered a simple cappuccino but they added little heart sprinkles for Valentine's Day since it is upcoming, even though the drink doesn't have them. The biggest problem I had was trying to decide what to actually choose from the menu because I was faced with way too many options that I wanted. I ultimately went with "the Bella", a portobello sandwich, which comes on your choice of bread, or any of their bagels, of which I chose the egg everything. Within a few bites I knew that this was easily within the top three bagel sandwiches I had ever had, and I am very critical of bagels and have had a TON of bagels and bagel sandwiches, coming from a kosher deli family. I also had the soup of the day which was a brilliant chicken noodle with awesome large macaroni elbows that just totally kicked it up. In our entire visit we only encountered one thing that was bothersome and it wasn't with my food but with our table's, and this was likely due to expectations. The jalapeño cheddar bagel is simply a plain bagel with a slice of cheddar and diced jalapeños on top. Now it was still outstandingly delicious, but I feel like we were under the impression it would be cooked into the dough and the entirety of the bagel. This wasn't the case and I can't knock them for it because it was still fantastic; aesthetics be damned! You should definitely visit here if you have not been here yet, and I can guarantee you will be coming back again and again. I cannot wait to go back, and I didn't even touch on the crazy awesome bagel chips that come with nearly everything!

In Newtown Square for a quick family/business trip and since we have a First Watch at home, decided…read moreto try something new- Turning Point. Went there Sunday AM at 10:00 and it was busy but we got seated relatively quickly. Server Alison was fantastic and while providing awesome service, the food and the ambiance were nice for a Sunday morning meal- obviously one of their busy shifts. We went back on Tuesday when the traffic was less but the service and food were both still awesome. The hostess recognized us from our previous visit and made us feel at home. First Watch is great if you want to pay $9 for bacon but Turning Point is an all around good choice!

It's nice inside, still new. Bar seating option and plenty of tables as well as a private parking lot. I was warmly greeted and lead to a table immediately. I did glance through the menu but knew what I wanted. Waffle, over easy eggs, and bacon. They have a decently priced combo which was perfect for me. Food came out quick and piping hot. I would ask them to delay the waffle for about 5 minutes next time so I can get a head start on my eggs and save the waffle for dessert. I've heard the coffee is good but I didn't have any on this visit.

This was an amazing random find while passing the area. The staff were incredibly friendly and…read morehelpful! The inside has a cute section for selling cute small items and miscellaneous things. They offer a small selection of baked goods and brunch foods. I have yet to try them. They had a nice variety of seasonal flavors and different hot and cold beverages. They sell whole beans and had over a dozen varieties with good descriptions of the beans and the notes. I bought a bag of beans to try at home and they do a punch card promotion in addition to giving you a free hot coffee to go for the bad of coffee bought. This gave me an option to try another type of coffee. I got the black sesame iced latte and it was delicious. You can smell the toasted sesame scent but the flavor was not super sweet. Can't wait to try this place again!

They have gluten free bread options and I chose raisin walnut. I don't usually eat toast but I thought this sounded really good. The house made ricotta was so creamy, the lemon zest so fresh and the sea salt and EVO brought out all the flavors and took this toast to a really nice place. It's fun to watch the coffee beans being roasted in house right near the pickup area. Service was great and the staff are very knowledgeable about the food and the coffee process. Finally while you can't sit inside, there are tables with umbrellas outside. My take away--Perfect way to start or end the day!

Super cute cafe with very good food…read more Parking in the back is very easy. My husband got cold brew and I did the lavender yuzu mocktail, both were good. I ordered the Lafayette on a baguette and he ordered the Parisian. The sandwiches were massive and also came with salad, neither of us could finish. They were very very good. The bread was perfect. Service was slow but they were packed when we went. Everyone was very friendly. Would come again.

When we had walked in, we saw a sign on the door asking patrons to please make sure the door closes fully behind them. However, there was no sign on the other side for people leaving. After the door kept getting left open, letting cold air in, I finally went up to the register to speak with the young woman there. I told her that people keep leaving the door open as they are leaving and asked if she could please put a sign for people leaving the cafe, which might help. I also asked if she could please keep an eye on the door, and let her know I had already had to get up 3 times to shut the door. To her credit, she did ask if we wanted to move to a different table, but it seemed like a hassle at that point. She did say again that she would be sure to keep an eye on the door. Guess what? She did not keep an eye on the door as more people were leaving. My mother also tried to catch her as she was going by, and she didn't stop. She basically ignored us the rest of the time. The young man serving us was polite but just kind of smiled and said sorry with a passive attitude when my mother mentioned the issue as we were paying (we told him we didn't want the coffee drinks after all, we just wanted to pay and leave at that point). I would think business owners would instruct their employees to try to please their customers and make them feel welcome. In the case of an issue, I would expect the employee to want to make an effort to make things right. This was a disappointing experience and I wouldn't recommend the place for this reason.
