That was me earlier this past week. Yelp found me this Starbucks 1 1/2 miles from my meeting location. 7 in the morning. As far as Starbucks go (anyone who follows me knows I much prefer indie coffee shops over a corporate buttoned-up Starbucks any day!), this Starbucks is a pretty darn nice one. Located in the Saratoga Shopping Center on Rolling Road, it's easy to get to, the inside is clean, neat, open, airy, and inviting. It has a convenient drive thru and a nice outside patio seating area and plenty of lot parking. Great for remote working, hanging out or meet ups....or if you need to kill some time before a meeting. Service is great - staff is friendly and happy and orders come out promptly. This place does a brisk mobile-order business - I saw lots of customers come in, grab their order and go. Also warning yall before you decide to splurge $8 for a latte: Her cookie butter latte tasted odd like chalk and in real life does not look anything like the promotional pics she posts on social media. It's basically a milky watered down vanilla latte with a half tablespoon of cookie butter thinly applied to the cup interior. She explained (after we already made the purchase, not before) that if you order less ice she will add more milk (which I think is kind of cheap). Also a lot of other coffee shops will gladly not sacrifice the espresso for less ice if asked. Also, a lot of the advertised ingredients in the social media pics like the cinnamon, cookie butter, cookie butter toppings, whipped cream etc aren't in the actual latte. My father picked up two cookie butter lattes for me recently from Bloom And Brew at The Reserve in Tysons in between an appointment we had. The reason it was two is cause the first wasn't good and had no cookie butter in it. She didn't do a remake but instead my dad bought a second latte. There is not much espresso in these lattes and you only get a tiny 12 oz cup for about $8. Not worth it when the coffee tasted bad. I used a reusable tumbler for the first latte, and the owner Aleyna used that as an odd excuse for why she didn't include any cookie butter into my drink. But she didn't even try to provide the missing cookie butter on the side. So I got a cookie butter latte with no cookie butter... When I reached out to provide constructive feedback later that evening around 3:00 AM when I finally had the time, her lack of professionalism was genuinely shocking. She responded in a passive-aggressive way, refusing to do anything solely because I sent her feedback that same evening within 12 hours. She stated: "please notify us promptly and not the next day at 3am :)." See pic for her full response. I simply tried to give the owner honest feedback about her coffee and an opportunity to make things right but rather than take the feedback well she reacted passive aggressively, inflexibly, and with a lack of empathy or understanding of my circumstances. Including a smiley face to mock a paying customer shows little empathy, and is immature for a business owner to be quite frank. People in this area have lives, are busy, and have commitments in the evening. There was physically no way to get a remake that day since her pop-up closes very early at 2:00 PM. A reputable business owner who cares about their product and customer experience would have no trouble remaking a drink within 24 hours. She chose to not address the quality issues with the drinks. She also never sent me the receipts I asked for despite promising to multiple times. I normally support small business but when the owner is this rude, does not keep her word, AND does not seem to care about the quality of the product they are giving to people or their customers experience, I cannot in good faith support a small business like this. There are literally SO many other better coffee places for you to go to which also have a physical storefront so it's easier to get a response from those businesses. This one is disappointing due to the owner's choice to exhibit this level of unprofessionalism and lack of customer service. Would not recommend.
