    Excellent coffee

Best turkey egg and cheese on a bagel that I've ever had; and that says a lot coming from a girl from Jersey. Their everything bagels are amazing. Great coffee, friendly staff, fast service and great atmosphere. There was plenty of seating and outlets if you want to stay a while.

Java Loco is a quaint, quiet cafe in a strip mall. There's a lot of items on the Menu and the décor is very cute. It's quiet for people that want to get their work done as even the staff are quiet as well. Most people come in to get their drinks and then leave, just from my observation here. I ended up getting a latte and a chocolate croissant. Despite on how quiet it is, I was able to enjoy myself reading a few chapters of a book I brought along with! I don't really have much to say but this cafe does offer wifi, it's always a plus if you are trying to not use data on your phones but it is always a added bonus for me!

Java Loco is a coffee shop tucked in a shopping center in Alexandria near the Van Dorn station. They've got an incredibly large menu full of hot drinks, iced drinks, boba tea, Vietnamese coffee, a plethora of syrup flavors, sandwiches, pastries, and then some! We opted for an iced horchata and iced skim mocha. Both were good, though I could have used a bit more flavor/cinnamon in my horchata. We also split a bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant. It was easy to eat (some croissants are so flaky it's just a mess and not worth it to me) and really tasty. The 3 items were $30 after a 15% tip which, you know, is on point for the DMV. Our barista was very friendly and asked if I'd like a shot in my horchata which I couldn't say no to. All and all, an experience that left us saying we would be back.

Looking for a coffee shop with free wifi, Yelp led me to Java Loco, a quirky cafe inside a strip mall. There are a few seats outside, but go inside. There are seats of all kinds, including diner seats, outlets, and strong wifi. The menu is diverse offering coffee, bubble tea, and food. The chocolate chip pastry looked good from behind the glass box, but I opted for a small milk black tea with boba. It was delicious! Service is top notch and the wifi information is taped to the table near the register.

Absolutely the worst matcha I've ever had in my life. Paid for extra sweetness and it tasted like it was unsweetened. Not well blended at all. It was gritty and had clumps of tea mixed in throughout . I was sipping dry clumps of matcha while drinking. The croissant sandwich was burnt and sloppily out together. The eggs were undercooked. For $20 for a matcha latte and breakfast sandwich, I'd expected a lot more. Very disappointed

A unique spot where you can order both coffee/espresso drinks as well as bubble tea. I enjoyed the jasmine tea, was nice and light and the lychee jelly was good too. We also got a hot Vietnamese coffee, however I wish we could have adjusted the sweetness on the drink since it was too sweet. The decor inside is pretty interesting and saw several people working/studying and a few others having quiet conversations.

Puts Starbucks and Barnes & Nobles to shame. If you know, you know. It's a great spot to bring your laptop, where you get free wifi as well. Food is good to go, and the service is very professional and polite. The people who work there have good frequency; perhaps that's why whatever you eat from there tastes so delicious. Ambiance is blended with soothing music, and the atmosphere is clean.

Needed some coffee and was in the area and this spot came up. Standard coffee (looks like a regional chain) shop offering breakfast/Pastries/sandwiches with a good selection of hot/cold coffee drinks as well Milk/Fruit Tea. Quite a little before lunch on a Thursday with just a couple of tables occupied. Ordered a Java Cappuccino (added syrup is a twist and it worked). Bacon, egg and cheese croissant was tasty-although if you don't specify the cheese you will get American (I forgot). I'm going to guess they have a bakery make their Coffee Cake-regardless, like no other Coffee cake I've had in a good way. Dense, rich, not too sweet-must try. Service -was straight forward and at some points lacked eye contact. Don't think any harm was intended-that said, service training would be a good addition.

I always love coming here for their pistachio, horchata, and chai latte. These are my always go to drink. The drinks have so much flavor and it's foamy and creamy. The staff makes the food and drinks really quickly. It's a pretty quiet spot to work or study

Turkey, egg, cheddar cheese on croissant w lettuce & tomato. Size M Matcha w boba
    Lyn J.

The decor was really cute and vibe relaxing. Perfect for getting work done quietly or checking emails. Drinks were average- the matcha w boba was bitter and not as tasty as other places. The boba- chewy and cooked properly. (3/5) Also ordered a Thai iced tea w mango jelly but they were out of mango jelly. I got rainbow jelly instead- it was ehhh. Didn't like the after flavor of the jelly. (3/5) Also ordered a tasty turkey, egg and cheddar cheese breakfast sandwich on a croissant. I didn't mind paying .50c extra for lettuce & tomato but they put the tiniest spine piece of lettuce. Lol. (4/5) Service was average so with two M sized drinks, sandwich, tax and cash tip, it was about $23

Enjoyed the lavender latte with boba. Pleasant and compact cafe. It was a bit hard to order behind the Plexiglas infection barrier; could not see the POS screen behind a cloudy plastic. We then enjoyed sitting near the window

A big group of us stopped by for some late night desserts this past Saturday. Other than drinks, they also have a fair amount of desserts like macarons, cookies, bingsoo (sadly, they did not have it when we stopped by), and baked goods. BLACK MILK TEA (M) - 5.25 +0.75 for tapioca pearl I got it with 25% sugar and 25% ice. This is my standard order for every new boba shop I check out. The one here was just OK. The 25% sugar was perfect for me but the milk tea was on the watery side. I couldn't taste that much of the tea flavor and the milk was a bit weak, too. The tapioca here is pretty soft and chewy, which we all enjoyed. BANANA PUDDING - 5.99 One of my friends got this for the table. The banana pudding slaps hard. The pudding is super smooth and creamy and there's bits of nilla wafers and banana chunks throughout that adds to the texture. For those Magnolia Bakery fans missing a good banana pudding, you can get one here that is solid. BERRY LEMON BAR - 7.49 Another dessert for the table. This was so dense. One bite and I was done. It is quite sweet and citrusy, but more so too sweet for me. Our group loved it. To the sweet tooths and lemon bar lovers, this one is for you. I'd recommend it. Would love to stop by in the future to try their bingsoo and their banana pudding again!

The pork chop was a good size and while a little tough to cut with the butter knife provided, it was also very good. It's never crowded here and you will never have to wait for a table. In my opinion, the best dish here are what they call crispy fried squids (Muc Chien Gion), perhaps better known as calamari. The squid are coated with a pleasing (cornmeal?) batter and are touched up with bits of green onion and accompanied by a most excellent dipping sauce. This dish is really delicious and I'm wild about it. The thin-cut pork chop dish is also excellent. It comes with a fried egg, rice, salad greens and a great dipping sauce. Another great dish is the shaky beef. While the chicken pho is very good here, it does not compare to Pho 75's pho. But then again, nobody has better pho than Pho 75. Pho Factory's chicken pho comes with noodles, green onion, white/yellow onion and cilantro. You can have Pho Factory hold any of these toppings if you wish. Next time, in addition to holding the cilantro, I'm going to ask that they hold the white/yellow onion. The skinny slices aren't cooked and don't add anything to the pho. As is typical in Vietnamese restaurant, you pay at the end up at the counter. I can't wait to come back for more crispy fried squid. And those babies are what makes Pho Factory five stars for me.

The layout has actually stayed the same throughout the years. Gogi Friends has a really good deal on Korean BBQ in the NoVA area. With the basic AYCE option, you still get to order 1 piece of premium meat per person. Meat quality isn't premium like Ingle or Meokja, but it is passable. They have unlimited sides and limited buffet type of foods available. I thought everything was good especially the small kimchi pancake. The brisket was quite good along with the marinated short rib. Those two types of meats were all I tried and honestly that is all you need. The grills had to be changed after every round of meat, but the workers were very quick about replacing it. Their corn cheese, egg, and soup were also pretty good. The restaurant can hold a decent number of people and large groups as well as smaller groups. They had a special discount for healthcare and military workers for 10% off. Basically, covers the tax. Service was also good and quick. At the end, they gave a small ice cream. I would come back again as this is a good deal in this area for a $36/person dinner. Lunch is $25 per person during weekdays 11 am -3 pm. Lunch on weekends and holidays for $28/person.
