I love this place and have been many times. It's smallish on the inside but usually I can find a place. They don't mind if you sit and work, and there are plenty of outlets. I recommend coming in the morning when the pastries are fresh~ By far one of my fave coffee spots tho. You know you're getting good coffee if they are grinding the beans fresh in front of you. I know they have a fusion menu but I always come for an regular latte for a pick me up at the end of a work day haha. Very impressed by this quaint little shop. Needed lunch one day and didn't know what to expect from this place. Ordered a Reuben sandwich and it was irresistibly good. Right amount of meat, spread, and pickled goodness! It made me excited to try their other food options. As for my bubble tea, very basic tasting, and wouldn't recommend it. Now I've been to Ocha Tea in Annandale, and thought it was quite fine, above average, so I thought it would be okay- it was pretty bad, if not the worst bubble tea I've ever had. I got the lavender bubble tea with 50% sugar, and it was the most sweet, cloying drink. Milk, Tea, the only flavor was sugar. So cloyingly sweet, it was inedible. We're always on the look out for good coffee places and unfortunately, this is not it. We ordered a Vietnamese coffee, took 1 sip, and it was not drinkable. We kindly raised it to the person working at the front and told her it was off and asked if we could order something else. She was unwilling to help and just said all sales are final. I asked if we could at least just get a black coffee, and she said no and turned away. We threw away the entire drink. I've worked in the food industry and this kind of attitude is unacceptable. But even more unacceptable is to put out a product that is not that product. I have had a lot of Vietnamese coffee (I'm Vietnamese), and this did not resemble it at all. If you're looking for a nice place, go anywhere else. For Vietnamese coffee, go to Le Bledo. Two stars because the other drink we ordered was alright. Dark, dingy, decorated by an old women. Anything with eggs in it will fuck up your stomach same with the coffee. They pre-make everything and leave it in the fridge, that shit just sits there and they can't make adjustments because they pre-made it. This includes sandwiches and drinks. My aunt wanted a peach green tea but can't have sugar because of her diabetes and they said they can't remove sugar from them because they add syrup. So don't add syrup. First coming here I was a bit stressed from the day and ordered my usual, a black milk tea with extra boba. The tea was sweet but not overpowered with the milk inside. They didn't use powdered milk, they used regular but in their options menu they could change out the type of milk if you asked. ( almond, etc) The drink came out fast. I sat down and it was already done which was quite nice. So I was able to sit down and truly enjoy the drink for a bit. The place itself was small but comfortable, with things to look at in every turn. I went down to the back hall and was greeted by the many artworks or phrases on walls from other customers. I had time to kill so I took some time to add in my own touch and although they only had two markers at the moment, they took the time to look around to see if they had any others with me asking. I came here for the first time yesterday on a coffee date. I was really glad that it was warm and smelled delicious the moment I walked in! I was greeted and served promptly when I walked up to the counter. I looked over their menu quickly both in person and online. I was convinced that I was going to order a fancy coffee but then I saw that they had matcha green tea lattes which sounded amazing! So I ordered one and they crafted it similar to regular lattes and they politely asked if I wanted 50% sugar/sweetness or something like that and I declined bc it sounded like too much sugar so they said they'd do 25%...whatever that meant. Haha! It was good though! Very creamy, delicious fine quality matcha powder (ground up dried green tea leaves) and yes, some sweetness! There were lots of customers there which is always an encouraging sign. People always were coming and going with a lot of people studying, listening to music, or browsing. I go here on a pretty regular basis because I work from home and I get tired of my own house. I love Java loco because it's not like the coffee is the best quality however they have so many choices you will never get bored. I've gotten a Matcha latte, a regular latte, Boba, and even a smoothie. There's just so many things to get here there's definitely not anything that an expert in but the variety is worth it honestly. They also have outlets everywhere which is amazing and amazing seating. Decided to visit Java Loco since it was close to the Bf's Apartment and we need coffee. Very interesting setup it's like a coffee shop but then it looks like your outside in a cafe but then there are retro stools. Very hodge lodge. They have coffee,bubble tea,gelato,baked goods, sandwiches and A whole lot of speciality flavored drinks. The BF and I decided to keep it simple so I got a Lavender Latte... nice and hot which is really uncommon for most coffee places. My lattes are usually pretty lukewarm. It had just the perfect amount of sweetness and you can smell the lavender. My only gripe is they don't make their own syrup it's the bottled stuff. The BF got a Espresso Bon Bon... 2 shots espresso with condensed milk which pretty much tasted like Vietnamese coffee. Since the BF was hungry he got a gyro egg sandwich on a croissant with cheddar cheese which came out nice and toasty. They give you bread choice and cheese choice for the sandwiches so it's customizable. Overall it's a pretty decent place for coffee if your on the area. We probably will return to see what other crazy lattes we can try since there are so many flavors offered. read more

Not sure what happened to this place. I've been a vegan for 7 years, and I'm aware tapioca pearls are vegan. I asked a few questions about a drink as I wanted to switch up my order. The lady first said the boba has gelatin, it shouldn't. Then I asked about a black tea with oat milk and she said none of her stuff is vegan. I ordered a gouda turkey sandwich with a black iced tea, very simple but hit the spot. They have wireless, plenty of seating, and is part of a strip mall with ample parking. I ordered an additional sandwich to bring home, and they were great, saying to let them know 10 min before I was leaving so that they could give me the sandwich as fresh as possible.
