Not a bad Starbucks. Ordered a caramel macchiato with extra caramel for myself and then a caramel frap for my girlfriend. Both drinks came out pretty good. There were a lot of people here since it's close to the outlets for people who are traveling to stop at. The location itself is easy to get to with plenty of parking. The lady behind the counter was nice and the place was pretty clean. I will say there was quite a big line for the bathroom for the ladies while I was there. All in all not bad! read more

I've never left a Yelp review before but this place is disgusting! All the trash cans were overflowing, the glass coffee and display cases were caked with syrup splatters and dusty on top and all the exterior windows were caked with finger prints. I waited 35 min for my drink because they were preferring the drive through and online orders to the in store orders. I swear there was only 3 people in front of me and each dining room order that came out was spaced 10 min apart. Waited over 30 minutes in the drive threw. I was next to pay my order at the window and the girl at the window allowed a white male who was not in a car to walk up and order at the drive threw window. I'm beyond amazed on how the hell the guy can just walk up and the casher allowed him to cut all the cars and proceeds to let him order and give him his food while everyone else was waiting. Once it was my turn the casher gave me attitude as if it was my fault when moms Uou she got my order wrong and when I told her she proceeds to give me even more attitude. Place was filthy. Baristas were slow. Bathroom was disgusting and missing toilet paper and seat covers in the handicapped stall. It makes it hard for someone with trouble walking in the first place, to go out to let someone know their bathroom needs to be tended to. When I explained this to who was the "manager" she didn't seem to care, nor did she do anything to fix the situation. Even though I purchased a drink and food for my long drive, I was treated as though it was an inconvenience that I made a comment about the restroom. This is an average Starbucks like any other--they offer the same coffees and treats available at any Starbucks nationwide. This location is very convenient to travelers because of it's location right before the grapevine. Because of this glorious location, it's always packed. So although you can get your great cup of coffee or fru fru mocha latte frapp--at this location you'll wait for it! The other downfall about this location is that the toilets are used way more than the average Starbucks! Typical starbucks, except for some reason even though this one is in the middle of nowhere (I guess Tejon Ranch off the 5 before the grapevine is somewhere...) it can get crowded as heck. It was so crowded and people are so stupid that they don't pay attention to what the baristas say, they just grab whatever drink looks like theres. Inefficient. There was around 25 people in line but the staff had no sense of urgency. Yes it's really busy because of the holidays and it's right before/after the grapevine but it's not really an excuse. They had 7 partners on the floor from what I saw and a third of them were restocking the rtd case, talking, and just fooling around. I think having a good time at work and making the most of it is very Important but when a job needs to get done, get it done. There should have been someone trying to expedite the line and the partners at the register should have at least made up for the slow service by smiling rather than yawning and not really caring. To top it off my simple caramel macchiato was made as a regular plain ole latte and I got to watch how the two double barring were not working in sync. I should've got back in my car and waited in the drive through line which a lot of other people did, it would've been faster he the two in drive through were on point. You may have the volume because of the convent location but don't forget about the customer experience. A lot of people walked in and saw how everything was moving and said, "I don't need coffee that much" or "let's just go to mcdonalds instead", that's loss profit for you. The place only gets two stars for Nathan, the manager who was the only person smart enough to make it right with the customers. First, I walk up and ask if they have anymore Protein Boxes, since I already checked and they didn't have any out. I was told to "check again." I said there's none. They finally turned around and saw they had one more in the back. Who tells their customers to "check again?" Aly at Starbucks, does! Then, 9 minutes later, I receive my first drink. 6 people after me receive their drink and I have yet to receive my second drink (placed in the same order) which was just a shaken black iced tea with no classic. You literally pour the tea, shake in the ice, and serve. I watched her - it only took her 30 seconds, at the most. But, why I had to wait another 8 minutes is beyond me. Then, when I ask who the manager is, she says, "Nate, but you can speak to Tiffany." Conveniently, Tiffany was standing behind her. I say "her" because she wasn't wearing a name tag (she doesn't deserve one, if you ask me.) I tell Tiffany how rude she was and all Tiffany can do was giggle and say, "I'm sorry!" I walked away at that point. I witnessed this barista roll her eyes and give a guy hell because he told her he didn't want whole milk in his drink... Which was on his cup! Yeah, I saw it. She asked him in a very annoyed tone, "Well then what kind of milk do you want?" I called Nathan via phone while standing in the parking lot, because I didn't want to blow up and cause more people to wait longer for their drinks that may be incorrectly made. He asked for me to wait to come and talk to me. He was sincere and appreciative of the feedback. He didn't giggle. He didn't roll his eyes. He didn't care there were 11 cars in the drive through and a line of 20 or more inside (oh yes, I counted.) He didn't make me leave until he made it right. Yes, most Starbucks are the same. But this one is located between BFE and BFE. It makes all the difference. My bestie recommened I stop here before my long haul up the 5 to the bay area and I'm so glad I did. There were a ton of travellers every where. I walked in and there was a line, but it went super fast! It was a very efficient Starbucks. After ordering I stopped by the bathroom. For being a busy Starbucks, the bathroom was impeccably clean and well kept! I walked out, and within 5 minutes I had my drink. It was tasty too. I'm no fan of coffee. Can't normally stand the stuff. But this last time I was so sleepy coming on Interstate 5 from the LA area in the morning, that I had to give it a chance, since gum just wasn't doing the trick. I had an iced Caramel Macchiato and had them make it a triple shot since I was just not as wide awake as I needed to be to drive and sure enough, I was made wide eyed and bushy tailed after sipping half this drink. It was actually pretty decent too and I only stuck out my tongue a couple times in disgust as I drank it. And since it was good enough to me that time, I made sure on the way back down from Northern California that I stopped here again a couple days later and had one again that had an equal effect on me. Guess that's why later I slept for 10 hours when I finally got home. Anyways, while there seems to be a Starbucks everywhere, this one's in a perfect spot off the Laval Road exit where I'm sure many travelers besides myself breath a sigh of relief and anticipate being charged up again. They do have a drive thru here, but I like to get out and stretch, just to make sure. The bathroom, in my opinion, could be nicer, but this is a welcome last coffee stop before the Grapevine after hours of driving through the middle of California. Sometimes its terrifyingly busy, and other times it's depressingly overwhelming, but I've never seen the employees be anything but cheerful. It's nice to sit, drink an iced espresso for a moment, and listen to starbucks music (which is getting annoyingly like my own tastes now--which sucks if you are a closet indie snob).
