The BEST service in town! My mom and I made a quick stop on our road trip and we are so happy we stopped at Cliff's Cafe! We decided to stop here as this cafe was marked as pet friendly and had great reviews and boy were the reviews spot on. I had a caramel latte and an egg bagel Both were delicious. The pup out in front is extremely calm and friendly. I would highly recommend stopping by!

    Yummy

Super cute and cozy inside, warmly greeted by Mary who gave great guidance on the menu. Delicious bagels and coffee! Will definitely stop here again.

A cozy little cafe with the sweetest dog that comes up and says hello as soon as you walk in! The iced latte I go was good and the breakfast burrito with chorizo, bacon and egg was delicious!

Notice the hair. I DIDNT ORDER THAT!

If ZERO was a star that's what I would give! Went there for the first time today ordered a bagel sandwich which came with a hair in it. I called to just tell them I didn't want anything in return and the owner Carry said just come in I'll take care of it. I explained I just got home from a 24 hour shift I can't do that he said just come in I'll take care of it. I didn't even want it to be taken care of just wanted someone to car just a little bit. I also tried to order a smoothie and the 2 ladies "argued" for a lack of a better word of how to PRONOUNCE the smoothie. Then when I asked for it with yogurt one lady shouted we don't have yogurt then when I asked what was in the smoothie no one knew what was in the smoothie. I would not recommend this place and previous reviews yes they were nice but that doesn't mean you won't have a hair in your food or the owner won't hear you because he has 50 people in front of him (obviously I wasn't one of the IMPORTANT ones because I was on the phone and not in his face). Additionally, eat at your own risk I watched the cook take her gloves off several times to assist around the cafe!!!

I had my first visit to Cliffs Cafe today, and it was a fantastic experience! I ordered the passion fruit with mint--surprisingly delicious and very flavorful--and their strawberry cookie waffle, which was absolutely delightful. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, making the whole visit even better. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality and variety they offer. I was originally planning to go to Starbucks for a coffee Frappuccino, but I'm so glad I discovered Cliffs Cafe instead. They have an impressive selection of coffee, and other drinks , desserts, and more. I'm definitely coming back to try all their flavors and explore their menu further. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy spot with great drinks, tasty treats, and warm service! lol Your schedule sign was upside down, I don't know if that's the correct house of business

We randomly stopped by on our way to LA and what a treat. The owners are so delightful, the coffee and hot chocolate were excellent. We will be stopping by more often when we take these long trips :)

Wow Till Today, I had no idea this place existed. Great start to my morning at Cliffs Cafe . I ordered the refreshing Mango Delight juice after an AM hike in Los Padres National Forest. Very clean & healthy options with fresh ingredients. Neat & fast preparation at this small town gem. The staff were warm, cheerful, and welcoming. Totally a hometown vibe and atmosphere here that enhances well being and community. Again, truly impressed with this cafe for a break out combo of quality, community, and atmosphere -- something of mountain magic. Nonetheless, a chain surely could never be at this level. need a return visit -- to try more; especially coffee drinks. Furthermore, cannot stress enough how grateful I am for this coffee spot in Los Padres Park. Social spots, like Cliffs Cafe, are so important for enhancing small town culture in the scenic mountain community of Frazier Park. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality and variety they offer in a small rural town.

    Bacon egg cheese bagel

Amazing little gem and excellent service. Glad I stopped by and nourished myself. Very nice crew :)

This place is awesome! Every time we come in here they've made another improvement. The breakfast is really good. Try the burritos! Coffee is strong which I love. The customer service is always great. Very friendly people. Definitely recommend stopping in if you're passing through the Frazier mountain area.

I got a mocha frappe and a bagel with cream cheese. It was the most delicious coffee and bagel I had from driving back home from San Francisco. Absolutely adorable shop with wonderful shop owners will stop by again on our next road trip

I have been going to Kohnen's for decades. I am often in the Bakersfield and Tehachapi areas for…read morework, and we always stop in for a great meal when passing through on road trips. Tuesday, March 10th, we traveled to Bakersfield to pick up a vehicle I had purchased, and of course had to stop by Kohnen's. My wife and I split a Tuna and Cheddar Panini, and a loaded Turkey (we arrived too late for Sourdough!!). It is difficult to walk away without a mini-pie (try them all, but blackberry is freaking amazing!!). As always, Danelle was there with her typical congeniality and work ethic! We love her!! And I got to tell her about her doppelgänger in a restaurant in Yucaipa!! They do exist!! In summary, eat at Kohnen's!! Say hi to Danelle!

I visited Kohnen's Bakery Tehachapi yesterday with my family, and this was honestly one of the…read moreworst customer service experiences I've ever had. I only purchased two items -- one cream puff and one slice of cheesecake -- but the cashier charged my card THREE times due to repeated mistakes. Here's exactly what happened: 1) My first card (Card A) was charged $11.20. The cashier asked me if I wanted a receipt, and I said yes. Then she told me the receipt didn't come out because the transaction "didn't go through," and asked me to provide my card again. 2) I gave the same card again, and this time she charged $11.69. 3) Then again, she told me that it didn't go through, so I used a different debit card (Card B), which was charged $11.20. While sitting at the table with my family, I immediately checked my bank account and thought I had only been charged twice. I spoke to a staff member at the store and requested a refund for one of the $11.20 charges, which was processed. However, today I realized I had actually been charged three times, meaning there was still another $11.20 that needed to be refunded. So I called the bakery and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with someone named Danielle. I calmly explained the entire situation and told her I would send all my receipts and bank transaction records by email so they could double-check and confirm everything. She said ok and gave me their email address, but it was very long, and I was concerned about making a mistake while writing it down. So I politely asked if she could text me the email address instead. Her response was extremely rude -- she said, "I'm not required to do that," and told me to just write it down myself if I had a pen and paper. Although I was already uncomfortable with her attitude, I carefully wrote it down and sent the email. However, the email bounced back as invalid, even though I had confirmed the spelling with her multiple times over the phone. When I called again, Danielle answered and said, "Ma'am," in a very dismissive tone, and told me that they had found the three charges and had already processed refunds for both $11.20 transactions. I tried to confirm which card the refund was going to, since I used two different cards, but after putting me on hold for a long time, she read off a card number that was not mine. When I told her that wasn't my card, she insisted those were the only transactions for $11.20 yesterday and told me to "check my bank in a few days" and call back if the refund doesn't show up. And, she didn't apologize for the mistake, even though they charged my cards three times and wasted a significant amount of my time. Even yesterday, when I asked for an apology, I only received one reluctantly after I pointed out that they had made a mistake -- and even then, the response was dismissive, as if I should just accept it because they were "taking care of it." The attitude throughout this entire situation was rude, unprofessional, and extremely frustrating. The cheesecake was very good. But because of this experience, I would never come back. We drove all the way from Los Angeles to Tehachapi with my family, expecting a pleasant visit, but this bakery completely ruined the day. Being charged a total of $34.09 for just two small items due to repeated errors is unacceptable. If your staff cannot properly process payments, they should not be working as cashiers. Situations like this should never happen. What's even worse is that after making multiple mistakes, there was not a single sincere apology -- only attitude, dismissiveness, and instructions for me to keep checking my bank and call back again. My time is valuable. This entire situation could have been avoided if things were handled properly from the beginning. This was an extremely unpleasant experience, and I am very disappointed. Cf) For reference, the other $16.05 receipt is for bread that my brother purchased.
