Amazing food and super cute shop! Must visit. Very friendly family owned business, so welcoming.

Dearest Donna and Gals at Crows Cookies. You are absolutely the best. All artfully skilled, the best tasting cookies ever and we love you!. The customer service here is over the top AMAZING. Not only can she bake every cookie and goodie imaginable, but she takes on custom designs for cookies too. Were so blessed to have Crows Custom Cookies with us. Highly recommend and definitely purchasing again. We have 40 employees here. Crows never disappoints.

I will always get the chocolate covered strawberries when they're available because they are even better than they look! Somehow they find the most perfect strawberries every time! They make beautiful gifts, but really everything the gals sell would be sure to put a smile on anyones face! My daughter is a big fan of the mini donuts! The packaging/presentation really takes their work to the next level- as well as the consistent quality, attention to detail and of course the fact that the ladies are just about as sweet as their treats! So glad to see them thriving! Keep supporting local!

Beautiful and very popular bakery shop located in Lake of the Woods (about 2 miles west of Frazier Park). They are only opened on Sundays, but provide a large varieties of coffee, beverages, and a huge amount of cookies, pastries, and other sweets. They are also famous for their Mini-Donuts Boats. Here a "Halloween Boat" made with Oreo-Fudge in a truly amazing decoration.

Bet you can't eat just one!!! So delicious, light and not to sweet! LOVE that they also offer gluten free options and a large selection of GF cookies. Their little mini donuts are mouth watering and once you are finished, you will always remember how good they were and crave them! (Kinda dangerous!!) I placed a special order for a Cowboy/Cowgirl Western themed fundraising event and they were a hit! Loved people coming back to the table to ask if they could have another they were so good. They even put our event logo on one of the cookies! Not sure how they do that but that one was mine! I know they also have an etsy shop and ship. Proud to support a family owed business where everything is made from scratch and is fresh! Just look at this tray... everything was edible!!

Tuesday, March 10th, we traveled to Bakersfield to pick up a vehicle I had purchased, and of course had to stop by Kohnen's. My wife and I split a Tuna and Cheddar Panini, and a loaded Turkey (we arrived too late for Sourdough!!). It is difficult to walk away without a mini-pie (try them all, but blackberry is freaking amazing!!). As always, Danelle was there with her typical congeniality and work ethic! We love her!! And I got to tell her about her doppelgänger in a restaurant in Yucaipa!! They do exist!! In summary, eat at Kohnen's!! Say hi to Danelle!

I visited Kohnen's Bakery Tehachapi yesterday with my family, and this was honestly one of the…read moreworst customer service experiences I've ever had. I only purchased two items -- one cream puff and one slice of cheesecake -- but the cashier charged my card THREE times due to repeated mistakes. Here's exactly what happened: 1) My first card (Card A) was charged $11.20. The cashier asked me if I wanted a receipt, and I said yes. Then she told me the receipt didn't come out because the transaction "didn't go through," and asked me to provide my card again. 2) I gave the same card again, and this time she charged $11.69. 3) Then again, she told me that it didn't go through, so I used a different debit card (Card B), which was charged $11.20. While sitting at the table with my family, I immediately checked my bank account and thought I had only been charged twice. I spoke to a staff member at the store and requested a refund for one of the $11.20 charges, which was processed. However, today I realized I had actually been charged three times, meaning there was still another $11.20 that needed to be refunded. So I called the bakery and asked to speak with a manager. I spoke with someone named Danielle. I calmly explained the entire situation and told her I would send all my receipts and bank transaction records by email so they could double-check and confirm everything. She said ok and gave me their email address, but it was very long, and I was concerned about making a mistake while writing it down. So I politely asked if she could text me the email address instead. Her response was extremely rude -- she said, "I'm not required to do that," and told me to just write it down myself if I had a pen and paper. Although I was already uncomfortable with her attitude, I carefully wrote it down and sent the email. However, the email bounced back as invalid, even though I had confirmed the spelling with her multiple times over the phone. When I called again, Danielle answered and said, "Ma'am," in a very dismissive tone, and told me that they had found the three charges and had already processed refunds for both $11.20 transactions. I tried to confirm which card the refund was going to, since I used two different cards, but after putting me on hold for a long time, she read off a card number that was not mine. When I told her that wasn't my card, she insisted those were the only transactions for $11.20 yesterday and told me to "check my bank in a few days" and call back if the refund doesn't show up. And, she didn't apologize for the mistake, even though they charged my cards three times and wasted a significant amount of my time. Even yesterday, when I asked for an apology, I only received one reluctantly after I pointed out that they had made a mistake -- and even then, the response was dismissive, as if I should just accept it because they were "taking care of it." The attitude throughout this entire situation was rude, unprofessional, and extremely frustrating. The cheesecake was very good. But because of this experience, I would never come back. We drove all the way from Los Angeles to Tehachapi with my family, expecting a pleasant visit, but this bakery completely ruined the day. Being charged a total of $34.09 for just two small items due to repeated errors is unacceptable. If your staff cannot properly process payments, they should not be working as cashiers. Situations like this should never happen. What's even worse is that after making multiple mistakes, there was not a single sincere apology -- only attitude, dismissiveness, and instructions for me to keep checking my bank and call back again. My time is valuable. This entire situation could have been avoided if things were handled properly from the beginning. This was an extremely unpleasant experience, and I am very disappointed. Cf) For reference, the other $16.05 receipt is for bread that my brother purchased.

They make pies (of course) as well as some other foods. Because I'm gluten-free and dairy-free, this limits me... but I'm SO happy they always have a safe pie I can buy. (And I have never had a gluten reaction to their GF items.) Their gluten-free dairy-free apple pie has been a bit bland for me. So I recently opted for their berry pie and WOW it did not disappoint! The berry pie was nice and flavorful!!! I bake as suggested by doing an egg wash on top, and that gives the top crust a really nice texture. I've also had their GF breads (because they sometimes have GF ones that are also dairy-free) and they are super yummy. The prices are a bit high, so I don't splurge too often. But I'm grateful there is safe pie for me when I really want it.

It was a very rich and semi-sweet hot chocolate with a hint of cinnamon, just like my momma makes it. My sister had the Dubai-style hot chocolate, which had a pistachio topping; she had no complaints. We also decided to try the Dubai style chocolate covered strawberries; the strawberries were a bit tart, but the toppings were all delicious. Just a heads up, they are an outdoor-only seating establishment, so come prepared. They do, however, have good lighting and patio heaters to help. It tends to stay pretty busy, especially on weekend nights, so wait times can be a little long, but they are worth the wait.
