I was so pleasantly surprised by the liquor selection at this store. High end, hard to find whiskeys in a grocery store ? from Yamazaki to Pappy they had it all - I am indeed awestruck . we stopped by to get a few supplies enroute YNP and were able to get almost everything we needed . Definitely very well stocked . Fruits ,veggies,Meds, toiletries ,water ,snacks and meat -you name it they have it .There is also a deli and a small bakery section . If you are in Pine Mountain Club, I bet you will eventually stop here. They have everything you would expect out of a market, and I wasn't disappointed at all. Very quiet inside, (at least in the off season) and the service was excellent. I have never had the deli before but all of the other food and snacks I've bought was fresh so I have absolutely no complaints. read more

I haven't been in Pine Mountain Club for years, but I always remembered this cute general store, that saves you in a pinch. I was in the area recently for a work related event and we were running out of food that we brought with us (that fresh mountain air increased our appetites). So I had to go to this general store located close by the cabin we were renting. It opens at 8 am daily and it was a Sunday morning when we got there around 7:40 am. We were gonna wait for it to open, grab some food and ran back to work. To our surprise, it was a car parked in front and the store was opened!!!! So we jumped in grabbed items from our list: snacks, bananas, peppers, broccoli, tomatoes, hod dogs (on sale), buns, bread, sparkling water, etc. The selection of food isn't amazing, same with produce, there wasn't any fresh meat. But it was better than I remembered, prices are a tad higher, but it's hard to bring merchandise so far away. Customer service was very good, the gentleman working here was super nice. Bring your own bags, they do charge for that. They close usually at 8 pm (except Mondays at 5 pm), so if you're in the area, this is a place you can count on since restaurants close earlier and don't deliver! The Plain Mountain General store is the only game in town. But, they are doing great. They are doing a great job by keeping essential things in the store and many items that people often forget to bring with them up into the mountains. Whether it's something to scrape the ice off of your window in the car or to jumpstart your car. People often forget to bring stuff to the mountains and this is a place to get it. The drinks are cold and plenty of choice. Many snacks, and ice cream. Ice and deli on site. Lots of canned goods also. You can also pick up a lottery ticket here. read more

Hm...choices for food stores are extremely limited up here so factoring that into my review, I'll give them 2 stars solely because it's nice to have a place to grab a snack or a drink before adventuring off and exploring the area. And they also have a deli, but their prices are really high...even high for a mountain/ski resort market (3 bucks for a can of Cactus Cooler) and the guy in the front of the store was extremely rude to boot. FYI -They don't have maps of the area in case that's what you came here looking for. Personally, I will be avoiding this store the next time I travel through. read more

Nice little store in pine Mountain Club. It's the nearest before you have to head about 20 min into town but they have most of the stuff you need. Went in for a couple things I needed but they didn't have any diapers which we needed! I still had to drive into town. Prices are a little higher but you do pay for the convenience. read more

We live in the "PMC" and the store is a lifesaver when you have forgotten items while shopping and don't want to go all the way into town, sure there is a markup, but the owners are efficient, helpful and the store is clean. they have a wide range of groceries, deli items, frozen goods, and of course things that a mountain dweller or vacationer would need, such as flashlights, ice scrapers etc. read more

Awesome little store for a beautifully secluded mountain town. Great beer and wine selection located less than 15 minutes from the cabin where I stayed. The cashier was a really nice younger guy who told me about an open 4x4 trail and shared some good information on local trails and where we could hike to find 'snow'. Price isn't a factor when you're in a place like PMC as this store is priced a little higher due to where it's at. Aside from that, I'll see you next time I'm up! read more

Love Tony and all the staff. If you need something special they will order it for you. The sandwhich shop is also the best, quality fresh sandwiches at a great price. Hours are 8am to 8pm everyday of the week, so if you're coming up and need a last minute item or two keep the hours in mind. They also have a wide variety of liquor and beer for a small community at very reasonable prices. read more

This seems like a pretty well-stocked little store but we were just treated atrociously by the two guys up front (one guy who I assume was the owner). I was waiting to check out, buying a few sodas, and asked to "please get three lotto tickets." Not realizing one of two guys at the register was counting out a huge till to a guy on the other side, he said "one minute, please." I misunderstood and thought the other guy at the register was still able to help me and asked again for the tickets. The dude repeated, with an edge "one minute." (I truly misunderstood. Wasn't trying to be pushy.) Three to four minutes later - we were left standing there while they counted money - they helped. I said I no longer wanted the tickets and tried to kindly say, "you could be nicer the next time you tell someone to wait." Both guys immediately started arguing with me. (They'd been dismissive and rude, ignoring me while counting a till, then both attacked me. I worked as a grocery cashier for Years in college and I'd never dream of treating a customer like that.) EVEN WORSE: the owner followed me out of the store, yelling: "We don't need business from your kind." It was aggressive and mean and totally unprofessional. Also potentially dangerous, as I was a woman, being yelled at by two men. Truly unbelievable. No one deserves to be treated that way. read more
