Came by the other day to use the loo. Petro Wheeler Ridge is located right before heading up the Grapevine heading South, or just after the Grapevine heading North. Truck stops are the hidden gem to speedy pit stops when traveling long distance! The loo was clean and plentiful. (There are at least 2 within the truck stop) Parking is plentiful in front for automobiles. The rear entrance for trucks is even closer to the loo! There is an iHop along with a convenience store to grab snacks for the road. read more

Stopped here for a quick bio break. The store was nice and clean as where the bathrooms. Lots of grass out front to stretch my service dogs legs. I do live life with my service dog and this place gets 4 paws up. Nice anad clean, and no access issues. read more

This is the best place to stop going into Orange County or going to Sacramento. The store is great. It allows you to get out stretch your legs. They have many dining options, ice cream, and , but the gift shop is really cool for snacks, coffee and souvenirs. Bathrooms are exceptionally clean, snacks galore and the service was spectacular super friendly cashier in the gift shop. Love coming here. This is my pitstop. The worst service places in the USA are the TA repair shops along the I-5 highway. I waited from 8:30 pm until 7 am to change a tire on my trailer. In the meantime, no car was serviced. I had an extra tire and it took me this long to get it replaced. God knows what these people work at these repair shops for. There are people who only work to get paid for their time. There are places where the service culture is zero. There are places where the employee relationship is not even worth considering. If such places with really bad service were to be closed down immediately, it would be good. In the end, I couldn't even find anything to say. How can they not be ashamed to say that I am an employee here? If they had been working on other cars with other jobs, I would have understood. These places are really shitty. For years and years now we have always stopped at the Tejon exit before heading up the grapevine. Not sure why but we are all programmed to exit west and head straight to the gas station next to Starbucks. If you just go across the street to this location you will find less crowded bathrooms, great snacks, drinks and gasoline all without the crowd. It's literally across the street. This little area has a restaurants (Wendy's, Arby's and Iron Skillet), a Baskin Robins, Mobil gas station, clean restrooms, rest area w coin op massage chairs, and a cute store with a variety of items from warm food, drinks, and snacks; knives; to stuffed animals. Probably my favorite stop just before I hit the Grapevine. Petro Stopping Center has it all-a Golden Skillet restaurant, Wendy's, Baskin Robbins, and the surrounding area has plenty of other choices. There's a nearby Chipotle, Starbucks, Arby's and a Panda Express so there literally is a little something for everyone. A good place to stop, grab a bite, gas up and the restrooms are nice and clean. And just on the other side of I-5 are the Outlets at Tejon for your shopping pleasure! read more

Lebec is the halfway point to home up in the Central Valley. It's convenient to stop here and refuel - gas and food. The stopping center is always clean and organized. This particular Thanksgiving the Starbucks had a line a mile long inside and out. I didn't feel like standing in line and at the time I was on the phone with my Mom and she happened to mention that the Petro Stopping Center had decent coffee that would give me enough of a caffeine boost for 2 hours. So I took her advice. After all, she did raise me so she knows a thing or two about a thing or two and what do you know? The coffee's not bad. I don't particularly like the lid but I was able to manage. The stopping center wasn't crowded and as I was leaving I noticed the people I left in line back at Starbucks were still in line. Go figure. If you're stopping to refuel, the coffee here isn't bad. There's also a McDonalds, In-n-Out, Subway, Baskin Robbins, Pizza Hut, and Wendy's in the same complex. Down the road, you'll find the TA Travel Centers and a Taco Bell. read more

Ok, this is a first for me...I've never given a review for a gas station/truck stop but this is noteworthy. We stopped here to use the restroom and I felt like I was in a five star restaurant bathroom. There were flowers on the sink counter and valentine decorations all over the bathroom and nice mirrors for decor and the best part about it was it was sparkling clean and fully stocked. The managers card was on the wall and it's very obvious he takes pride in his store. Also the staff was very polite, Zachary held the door open for me as I left and the woman (didn't see her name tag) greeted me as I walked in. My husband and I have been coming to the Petro truck stop for probably 14 years or longer. He's a transport driver. We have always looked forward to stopping here, whether for the chicken fried chicken, the awesome breakfast buffet, or to be serenaded by Kenny on the graveyard shift. So you can imagine our disappointment this morning seeing a generic breakfast buffet and a less then appealing chicken fried chicken breakfast. The buffet feels like a Days Inn buffet, nothing exciting to it. The eggs and hash browns were horrible. The only thing that was good was the ice tea and the excellent service which Iron Skillet has always had. Moving on, not sure who handled the remodel, but not warm and inviting. My husband made the comment that it has nothing to do with the region. This is ranch country and this place once represented it well. The drivers seating does nothing to honor the driver like it once did. At one point that was our area and we felt special to have it. It was a place to either have some quiet from the truck or visit with another professional like yourself. The only thing that seems to remain consistent and made up for the lack of quality was the service. As long as we can remember, we've had great service, but we've also watched a lot of those people go. So if you're looking for a great meal, this is no longer the place sorry to say! read more

With every trip I make to Northern California, this is always my bathroom break, refueling point. It's always about the halfway point to me and I find this place to be convenient and safe. This place has several food options which include: Iron Skillet Wendy's Subway Baskin Robbins Pizza Hut Of course there's a gas stations with about 16 spaces so you never have to wait in line to get gas. Among the gas stations located in this exit, this place always seems to be a bit lower. The convenience store located within the gas station has the subway inside of it as well as bathrooms which have 8 stalls in the woman's restroom. Their assortment of drinks, snacks, and magazines as well as other necessities is just perfect. If you don't find what you need there you can always go into the other building which has the other food places, as well as a larger convenience store/gift shop. Another reason I like to stop here is that there's a wide grassy area next to the gas station that's a perfect potty break for the pooches. For the most part it's clean and appears other owners pick up after their dogs. It's a nice place for dogs to take a break from sitting in the car for hours. Day or night this place has always felt safe and is very well lit. When I walked in I was greeted my Sylvia. Boy was she a mood booster !!! She was so kind to my daughter and I and she had the best customer service I have ever experienced!! If you're going up the 5, just past grapevine is the Petro Stopping Center. This is a great stop off place which has everything including several gas stations and fast food joints. Starbucks and In-N-Out are here too. They keep the place well maintained ( grass and shrubbery). Stopped here on 12/26. The bathrooms were clean, well stocked, and decorated for the season. First time I have ever seen a spotless gas station bathroom that was decorated for Christmas. Additionally, the cashier was very friendly and polite. A well run business. I picked up the business card of the GM Andres Aguilar to give him positive feedback but felt Yelp review was in order. Have stopped here multiple times making the drive from SoCal to the Central Valley area. The bathroom are nice and always clean. Right now, due to covid, some stuff in the store isn't accessible and all the employees seem to be following the covid guidelines set by the state of CA. Unatnfortunately during my last visit to this Petro I had what we truckers call a "33" an accident. The shop was cool they took pics for my company and made sure my truck was road ready. The techs were very helpful and kinda cherd me up they could tell I was still pissd at the guy who hit me. Mabe they get training on how to handle mad truckers. I do have to say that this is my favorite truck stop on I 5. Ive been all the way up 5 to Wa. This place has the Iron skillet, a Wendys, a movie theatre, a shoe shinner, a store, an arcade, laundry, a doctors office, Baskin Robbins, and a unattractive lady with a masage table lol. I love this joint eventho the coffee sucks. I stop here every chance I get. I got a big bloody rib-eye, mashed potatoes and country gravy, soup and salad, and a soda 16 bucks u cant beat that. read more

I have NEVER reviewed a bathroom before and certainly never would have expected to review a road stop bathroom !!! We stop at endless, disgusting bathrooms on all of our road trips. It gets so bad that when we are in unpopulated areas, I have my husband pull off the road and just let me go behind the car! Better the dirt than most filthy road side bathrooms! This bathroom was a clean, remodeled public restroom. I had written a more outstanding review initially and then revisited the establishment when it wasn't as sparkling as the first time. I make sure to always stop here on the way south on Interstate 5 to get that last gas point before heading up through the Angeles forest area and the urban forest that comes later known as the San Fernando Valley..and LA beyond. Just a whole lot easier to jump off here and be able to get right back on the interstate than trying it later in the city. It can be really hot here during the summer or really cold during the winter, but its convenience I'm after here, with its location near Wendy's, McDonalds, In N Out, Starbucks, etc. Of course it's got a Subway inside too which is nice, and there's a few picnic benches on the right side in case you feel like frying in the sun. Gas more expensive than up the Grapevine, but great little complex for weary travelers. Last time we stopped, we could see smoke from a fire bordering southbound I-5. Glad we weren't driving south. This review is directly for the device station so truckers beware - got our oil changed out there. They claim they check the oil levels on the transmission but that is an out right lie. When my husband asked if all the levels looked fine they said yes everything was topped off. Well not even a week later he hears a whirring noise from the transmission. Had to pull over and wait for the engine to cool. What does he see? The transmission oil plug completely undisturbed. The dirt etc that cakes up there hadn't been touched at all. He checked the transmission oil and was really low. Why the hell are we even paying for a service they are not going to do? Now he's going to ask to see the plugs as proof that they checked them. read more

We stopped by for wraps and a drink from the Subway inside Petro. The wraps are supposed to contain the same amount of ingredients as a footlong sandwich, but it was easy to see that the ingredients actually corresponded to a 6 inch sandwich (counting the number of cheese slices made this easy to verify). Then they charged $2.29 for the smallest drink they offer even though their soda machine clearly indicates that any size of a drink is available for just 99 cents. I pointed this out to the employees, but they had one of those "I don't care, I just work here" attitudes. read more

I stopped at this Mobil gas station both to and from my trip to LA. The first time it was a fluke and I was pleasantly surprised that it was super clean--even the huge bathrooms. The second time I waited until I passed over the grapevine to stop here for a bathroom break because it was the cleanest gas station bathroom I have ever been in! The bathrooms were very clean and well maintained so making a stop here is great. The mart looked more like a grocery store so I was disappointed when I saw that it was just a convenience store. They have 3 of the same store in a 1 block. You'd think one would be different. The gas prices were also quite high. They were about 50 cents giggle than they are in about 20 miles so you certainly pay for the convenience of the stations there. read more
