I decided to forgo snacks because I didn't want to spend money at a place that treats its employees that way, besides the manager was too busy berating his employee and his employee was too busy being berated for either of them to run the register. I must have gone to the wrong Valero around this area because I don't remember it having one of the highest prices up in here! (Or maybe the one I stopped at awhile back has since closed or rebranded, who knows.) I was due for a refill and I specifically chose Valero since the last time I came through, they had the most competitive prices. I realized it was the wrong one once I pulled up but since it was the only one poppin' on Yelp, I thought - maybe assumed - they just simply relocated. I knew it was a whole different place soon as I saw the gas prices: five and a quarter for an 87! Since I didn't really have a choice at this point (it wasn't worth backtracking on the 5) I pumped just enough gas to get home. The only reason for a second star is because this entire area was pretty clean. But it only makes sense: not a lot of people come through here. Pretty confident this is a one and done. read more

When i went inside to used the bathroom with my kids, the person in the cashier was so rude and wont let us used the restroom. He said i have to buy snacks at the store first before we can use the restroom. My plan was to use the restroom first since my son really needs to go right away and then buys snacks, but this guy was already being so rude that we need to buy first before we can actually used the restroom. We stopped here for gas on our way to Northern California. I brought down my SERVICE ANIMAL to go into the store with me and as soon as I entered the door the male cashier told me I could not have my dog inside. I kindly explained that she was a service animal. He RUDELY asked me for the ID. I explained to him that while my dog does have an ID, it was unlawful for him to ask for it. He stated it wasn't unlawful and he can ask for it. I explained the ADA regulations as he continued to talk over me wanting the ID. He then said I could be in the store but told me I couldn't take my service animal to the restroom. How is this ok? He never inquired on what training my dog has or its duties. Needless to say, my family did not give this establishment a dime. Here is the ADA regulations. I really hope this doesn't happen to another person who relies on a service animal!!! Stopped here for snacks and had the employee pop out right as we wanted to walk in and get some things during our road trip - and tell us she was closing the entire store for 15 mins. Huh? No job I've ever had has an option for just closing down the entire place for that long during the middle of the day with a parking lot full of customers. She was probably legit doing some work and couldn't do it with customers - but that's why management has it done at night or a 2nd worker to cover while the first takes out the trash or whatever. Instead they went cheap and hired 1 person to clean, stock, run the register, etc and made it so they do some busy task during the middle of their already busy shift. I def don't blame the employee - this is directed at the owner and manager who forced us to go give our money to another store. Which is what we did. read more

I stopped at the Valero in lebec because my car was having trouble starting. I went inside and bout some oil due to me not having any. We had to stop here because of low tire pressure. Neither of us knew how to work the machine or the gauge. We didn't catch her name but the lady working here was SO SWEET and helpful. She taught us how to do it, filled up our tires, and made sure we were safe to drive out. It was also 90 degrees outside and that didn't stop her. 10/10 service! read more

My husband and I gas our car at Valero around 4 am this morning 12/27/19. The young man cashier who works there keeping the store so neat and clean. I even make comment that the store smells clean. DO NOT GO HERE THEY DISCRIMINATE AGAINST DISABLED PEOPLE!!! I have often made the trip through this area from LA to SF and would stop here to get gas and snacks. On one of my trips it was pouring rain but I needed to stop because my tire pressure was low and couldn't make a long trip with low air pressure. I had a few dollars and needed to get change for the machine. I also have a service animal that accompanies me wherever I go. When I tried to come in the store the person behind the counter immediately started to SCREAM at me and then proceeded to shove the door back ON MY FACE and knock my head back leaving me in the pouring rain. He then cracked the door and yelled at me that dogs were not allowed in the store. When I explained my dog was a service animal and I just needed a few quarters he scoffed and said it doesn't look or say that it's a service dog. When I politely explained that service dogs do not need any identification or signs that they are service dogs according to FEDERAL LAW he just laughed at me. I would recommend staying clear of this place. They obviously do not respect persons with disabilities and are clearly not versed in very obvious federal laws. This traumatic situation has even caused me to fear bring my service dog where they are legally allowed to go. I would never go here again for fear of being assaulted and harassed again and I advised others to not support a business that treats people like this. read more

Oh my goodness not only are the pumps sooo slow( no really theses are really slow pumps ) the ATM /card readers on at least two of the pumps seem tampered with. I pulled up to the first pump and there was a sign that said reader was broken ( it looked it) I didnt think anything then , but I pulled up to the second pump , got out then looked at the reader , moved it a little and it was way LOOSE. Wise people will tell you not to use card readers that are loose because there is a high chance that the baddies have tampered with it. SO I had to go in. read more

If I could give a negative star I would. We went to a pump, my friend put her card in and the pump just wouldn't work. We figured that it was broken so went to a different pump. This time my friend couldn't use her card for some reason the machine wasn't taking it. So we went inside to try and talk with the cashier since it said "see cashier for assistance". The guy didn't really acknowledge us and told us to wait in line. When I asked him about our problem he didnt really give an answer at all. Bottom line, I used my card and got charged TWICE. I give them less than 1 star if I could. We were there 11/1/18 around noon pulling a 30' travel trailer. We waited, waited and waited for a white Honda to pull out, had to go in to the store ask about the car, be told it belonged to the Manager and he was "out for a walk!" He actually parked in the service bay at the pump and left his car, we couldn't get out so had to wait for him to come back. We will NEVER take our business to a Valero again. The attendant assaulted my wife while she was trying to put a collar back on our puppy. My puppy squeezed out of his collar when we got out to use the restroom. He ran to the front door of the station and waited. My wife ran to the door, and while she was putting on the collar the attendant pushed the door into my wife and yelled at her to move. The then continued to yell at her. We are traveling for the holidays and are on a tight schedule. We will likely press charges. It should all be on video.
