I've been here multiple times, and with the same result almost every time. The gentleman at the counter is extremely rude, and if he isn't talking on his phone on speakerphone, he is talking to another employee and doesn't give the customer the time of day. Not to mention the prices on basic items are highly overinflated. There is also the issue of charging a card fee even when paying with cash. When asked about this, the counter attendant scoffed and waved his hand as if to brush off my question. I was still charged by the way. What the heck! Stopped today around 7pm to get gas and all the pumps are turned off. You can't even use your credit card. Multiple people tried and all the pumps say "see cashier". When you walk to the door, there is a worker sitting inside playing on his phone and taped to the door is a sign that says "closed, be back in 30 minutes". Stopped here to get gas and gas prices are pretty ridiculous but they have restrooms opened to the public. The atmosphere here is such a vibe music is blasting and smell of fried chicken in the air. If you want to drop in for a quick bite and a drink I would def stop by. read more

I stopped here Christmas Eve on my way home from Long Beach to use the bathroom and grab something to drink. It was dark and I was the only customer there at the time. NEVER AGAIN! The women's restroom door was propped open, which I wasn't comfortable with so I closed it. Then while I was going to the bathroom one of the men that works there came in behind me and started sweeping! I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe they didn't see me so I flushed the toilet but he just kept sweeping even going into the stall right next to me! I was legit terrified I was about to be raped or become a missing person. Thank God another person came into the store! Your debit card does not work at any of the machines here, you will have to go in. They then skim your card and pin number, and within hours, you see all kinds of charges popping up on your debit card. I had to close down my card within an hour of buying fuel here. I was there on a Saturday afternoon. October 29th at 1:45. Very bad experience. To start they charge A DOLLAR FIFTY to swipe your card. That should be illegal. The clerk was a pretty brunette, small, perhaps Indian. This woman could not rush me out of the store fast enough. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS CHEVERON IN BAKERSFIELD!!! Today we drove in and filled up with just shy of $70 worth of gas in an Altima. so yes, the prices are high, but that aside they gave us bad gasoline! The octane level in it was so low the engine started kicking and the car wouldnt go more than 40mph on the highway! We only made it 6 miles. We called to ask them to flush it if we came back and replace to make it right and they hung up the phone!! We called to ask for a refund and he hung up! It's kind of out in the middle of nowhere....but its right next to a Subway. So gas and food, it works....but I didn't see anyone inside the Subway when we went. The quick mart is called Prince Palace - it kind of made me laugh. But most importantly, for any roadtrip, the bathrooms here are nice and clean and located inside this quick mart. read more

Waaay overpriced gas station. Using a debit card, so info on the pump said I had to pay inside. Making a trip from Seattle to Phoenix, and didn't know for sure distances between gas stations, so stopped at this station to make sure had enough gas. When saw the price (about a dollar more than anywhere else on the trip, even in California) only got a couple gallons...enough to make it to next stop. I left the place feeling like I was ripped off, and that my debit card info wasn't safe, so checked each day my account, but nothing happened...so that's good. However, when I was putting my expenditures into my check register, I noticed that unlike ANY other gas station I have used, they do not separate into how many gallons are bought and how many dollars per gallon. Subway has a very bad customer service, employees ( two white laddies)do not have respect for customers,they were laughing about my order. I order something that was not in the menu. Go here when all the other gas/ food stations are crowded. This place is less crowded and has clean restrooms. There is a Subway next door if you are craving for a sandwich. Plenty of parking and easy access to I-5 on/off ramp. read more
