One of the best truck stops in the state... Definitely a "true" truck stop with the "mom and pop" feeling, which are very few and far between anymore, unfortunately. I have been stopping here for a few years now, and have never had a bad experience, and would never expect to. It's very easy access off the 99, both southbound and northbound. A quick rundown: Fuel: Usually some of the best prices along the 99, or at least comparable. Two separate fuel islands for autos and semi trucks, and very easy access to both. Store: Being an older truck stop, while the store is a fairly small building, there is no shortage of items here. They have one of the best selections of drinks and snacks you will find at a convenience store. They also have some of the best coffee and even fresh donuts and hot foods. They also have a "trucker" section with standard items such as paperwork, basic truck parts, etc. Appearance: This is really where this store comes above and beyond. Truck stops in general sometimes tend to get a bad rap of being dirty and not maintained. Not so here. Both the exterior and interior are kept in immaculate shape. I sometimes stop here close to 10 times a week, and the restrooms have always been spotless. There is one maintenance guy specifically (who I unfortunately forget his name), who I always see bustin' butt; cleaning the fuel islands, scrubbing the restrooms, etc. The large group of staff is extremely friendly and shows great customer service for anyone who walks in. Puse una queja sobre esta gasolinera ubicada en Bear Mountain travel stop 15840 costajo bakersfield ca93313. En esta gasolinera son faltas de respeto hacia los clientes y mas hacia las esposas de traileros. Desde septiembre y octubre del aňo pasado fui acosada por 2 empleados de esa chevron mi esposo y yo eramos clientes constantes mi esposo ponía diesel 3o 4 veces por semana empeze air con mi esposo casi un aňo primero uno de los empleados me hizo un comentario lo cual es fuera de lugar sobre porque iba yo siempre con el que parecía policia y que iba acuidarlo lo cual le conteste. Deje de ir un tiempo con mi esposo me decía mi esposo que varias veces le preguntaba por mi porque no vino donde esa la patrona la ley y despues otro empleado de la tarde lo cuestiono sobre mi su esposa quien es ella porque siempre la traes contigo son preguntas que no les importa inapropiadas y fuera de lugar ellos no están ay para cuestionar alos clientes y asus esposas están para hacer su trabajo nada mas y no incomodar alos clientes otra cosa siempre me sentía observada y las miradas chismosas y curiosas de algunas cajeras sobre mi al entrar sola o acompañada ala tienda es muy frustante e incomodo sentirse observada y ser objeto de chismes por parte de ese personal por que lo que uno espera al entrar en un establecimiento como cliente es ser tratado con respeto y lo mismo uno como cliente dar ese mismo respeto estoy haciendo esta reseňa para que otras mujeres esposas de traileros no pasen por esta mala experiencia porque no deveria de pasar y permitir le aotras personas cuestionar sobre la vida matrimonial de una pareja como lo permitió mi esposo debi poner la queja cuando sucedió el aňo pasado puse mi queja achevron pero me dijeron que no habia evidencias ni audio visual cuando esas preguntas fueron echas directamente verbales ami esposo y ami deberian darles mas entrenamiento de ética y profesionalismo asu personal para que no estén de metiches y chismosos y respetar alos clientes y esposas el 16 de febrero paso otro incidente que para mi como esposa fue lo que colmo el vaso completamente se termino mi paciencia ya era tiempo de poner un limite aesa gente metiche una cajera le pregunto ami esposo al momento en que yo iba saliendo de la tienda y el estaba pagando el diesel ella y la otra cajera se me quedaron viendo y hay fue cuando ella le pregunto Es ella tu esposa y siempre la llevas contigo? Mi esposo le contesto si ella es mi esposa y siempre la llevo conmigo.. esas preguntas son inapropiadas y fuera de lugar no debió haberse las echo cruzo la línea del respeto al cliente deveria de dedicarse solo hacer su trabajo y no cuestionar alos clientes sobre su vida estoy muy molesta con esta gasolinera no son profesionales y por eso mi esposo y yo ya no vamos a regresar aesa gasolinera como vamos aestar llegando aun lugar donde no respetan y solo están chismeando incomodando alos clientes esta es la primera vez que nos pasa esto muy es muy incomodo se ve que hay 4 empleados de limpieza claro en diferentes turnos y solo uno es muy respetuoso el solo se limita hacer su trabajo esas 2 personas deberían de tomar su ejemplo esta es mi experiencia por cierto demasiado mala como para no volver aesa tienda. read more

They offer a spot for cars for over night parking. The owner sent an employee out at 5:30 am and 7:30 am with threatening to call the police for sleeping at a spot meant for overnight sleeping? I havent had anywhere solid to live for a few weeks until i head out of state. I dont recommend stopping or staying here at all. read more

Stopped in to use the restroom, super clean! They have showers. Gas prices seemed average for California.

Driving my RV through the area and was the perfect place to get gas . Lots of space and I was able to pull up easily .

Stop here for gas often and always leave happy. The bathrooms are always clean because they have a dedicated cleaner. It's not like any of those other truck stops where things are so dirty, you don't want to touch anything. The convenience store is also clean and has anything you need. It's just a truck stop. Plain and simple. Not one of those mega-stops where there's like a buffet and slot machines. People here are friendly, cooler is stocked with tons of options and the bathrooms are clean. Pretty cool sunglass rack, too. And they sell Bear Mountain Truck Stop Hats, one of which I bought and I wear it all the time. read more

Wait for laval rd if you need anything other than gas. This place is a bit cramped and seems a bit scary.

They have 6 really clean restroom's, a huge parking lot which you can park for free, catscale's are $11 & housescale's are $9 reweighs are $2. Shower's are $10 unless you fuel more than 50 gallons. With the purchase of diesel you get a free coffee or fountain drink anysize. && if you're ever having trouble the girl's & maintenance are always gladly to help. read more

I stopped here earlier today. This is a nice store, very friendly people, and very well stocked store. The restrooms were very cleaned.
