I just want to give an extra shout out to the amazing owners and workers at this Chevron. I have always had such a great experience with the entire family and workers over the last several years. Nothing but great customer service and treating their regulars like family. But today was a different experience. I accidentally locked my Keys in the car with my child in it. They came to the rescue so fast and utilized all of the resources to help me open up my car safely, quickly, efficiently. The gentleman next-door at the car wash, I can't say enough good things about them! The owner and his wife and their son are always so gracious and wonderful. The food mart is ok. Plenty of items to choose from for a quick stop for snacks. Parking is horrible here. Couple parking spots and people parking in front of the front entrance and doesn't help they are doing some type of remodel in front also with tarps and scaffolding equipment all around. People park at a pump and never fill up... go inside to buy items taking up a gas pump for parking. Ridiculous. The service is fast and the lady was friendly. Some type of fast food inside but didn't pay much attention to the name of it. Smells kinda greasy inside. Like I said for the environment: parking is bad here and I would hate to see this place crowded... it would look like the 405 freeway. Not much space for cars. I want to get a refill of propane At Stockdale and Allen Saturday 7:30pm. Not refilling my personal tank just a refill and there were two refill Machine machines in front of the door( Super snotty and rude), The lady in the front said they don't have the ability to open the Cages to refill!!!!????? If the doors are open, you should be able to get a refill of propane. That's absolutely insane... Gas is always cheaper here than my beloved Sully's on Ming. Today for example, it is 15 cents cheaper by the gallon. The store is always neat and orderly. If the owner is the same one from 4 years ago when we moved here, we met him and liked him right away. Little things, good impressions make for prosperous business. There is a little Mexican take out place inside here but we have never tried it. Maybe one day as it smells great! This gas station never has working pumps. I went there today so I could get a car wash too. When I pulled up I saw a car in the car wash. I couldn't use the key pad for gas (sign said go inside to pay) so I went in. Waited in a huge line. and once I finally got to the front of the line @ 7:05 the attendant said car wash closed at 7. I only got gas here to get a discount on the car wash (otherwise I would have just gone through the car wash). So she wouldn't sell me a car wash. I pumped my gas & went to the car wash machine and paid for & received a wash. Nothing was closed or shut down & it seemed just as interesting that she couldn't sell me one after I bought gas & some snacks from them. read more

The absolute best food on the go! We've tried literally almost everything on the menu and our guaranteed favorites are: *Carne Asada French fries. The flavor is mind blowing especially with a little of their salsa poured onto every bite. A must order as an appetizer even though it works well as a meal also. *Papusas. I've never even heard of these before dining here but the picture at the register sold me. We ordered a couple and we were so impressed with how absolutely delicious they were! We order these every-time as well. * Chicken Fajita Burrito. They have some of the best chicken I've had in a Mexican burrito. It's juicy and flavorful and another must have item! *Carne Asada Torta- if you like Tortas then this one will stay on your list of places to have one. We don't live in Bakersfield anymore but we come visit often and we never leave Bakersfield before stopping in and we will often eat here and take some additional meals "to go" for when we get home two hours away as a meal for later. But my favorite part about this place is how extremely clean everything is and how extremely friendly the wonderful women working there are. If you need a quick bite, then stop by this place and feast. Everything is extremely reasonably priced and you will be full, happy, and definitely content. I could not find a separate Yelp business just for the taqueria alone but I believe this encompasses both the taqueria and the actual store. This is mainly for the taqueria but I have nothing but great experiences with both. The staff is actually very friendly and attentive when you need assistance. The Mexican food alone is worth the drive as it is authentic Mexican food. I've tried several different items on the menu, including burritos, tacos, quesadilla and even pupupas. They're all fantastic and I will be coming back. The prices are low and you get a ton of food. read more

I waited till the morning to post this as I didn't want to post in the heat of the moment, however the way I was treated still bothers me. I live close and have been a long time customer however yesterday I stopped to fill up our Escalade and needed air for a small golf cart tire. As I was filling the Escalade I went inside and polity asked the young woman behind the counter for a token or code for the air/water machine. Her very curt and snappy reply was "what do you need"? When I asked again she asked, again curtly "are you getting gas?" I said yes and I am on pump 1 and she once again curtly asked "are your sure"? At which time I calmly said that's okay I'll take my business to Sully's where I am treated like a valued customer. I went to the gas pump and stopped the pump at $60.00 and will not return. read more

Stopped by here to use their open bay touchless car wash but it was out of order so I had no other choice than to use the other car wash with the brushes (which I do not like to use). I checked the caution/warning signs to make sure my truck was OK to go though (since I have wide wheels) and it only had caution signs for body or antenna damage. I drove my truck through and the metal rails on the floor damaged my brand new rims. Long story short, after talking to the manager and having an escalating conversation that led to calling Chevron cooperate office, the store owner called me the next day and took full responsibility for the damages and reimbursed me for my wheel replacement. I will continue to use this Chevron in the future, just not their car wash for obvious reasons. I'm just glad the store owner worked with me and went above and beyond to deliver customer satisfaction and continued business. read more

First of all when I asked for cash back the checkout girl entered the amount on my card and didn't allow me to get cash back. Second when I paid for air in my tires the machine didn't work. I went inside to tell her this and she didn't believe me and insinuated that I didn't want to pay the $0.75 that it cost. She whispered to her coworker about this, then reluctantly gave me tokens to try. As she handed me this she said "it worked this morning" with a smart ass tone. She has no customer service skills and couldn't be bothered to stop eating her pop tart to serve customers Third, when my husband went back because again it didn't work (I refused to go because of how rude they were) she again stated that it worked this morning. he was nice and she was very dismissive. She again was lacking all customer service. I get gas at this place a lot and I cannot believe how rude they were and questioning me over $0.75. DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION OWNERS ARE GREEDY AND DONT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS: l used to come here EVERY DAY as I have a business that requires me to fill up more than one commercial vehicle daily plus I used to also yy by buy drinks, snacks etc. So today I am there getting gas and I ask if they could please turn on air and they refused even after me mentioning it's a CA law to provide free air with the purchase of gas. The clerk told The owner and she shrugged her shoulders. So my tire is low and I go put .75 in machine and it doesn't even work. I go inside and tell them and the owner is aware it's broke. Why did you just let me break a dollar for quarters instead of just telling me it's broke.. I'm reporting this to the BBB because owner is being money hungry and charging people for machine that doesn't work and refusing to follow the law and provide paying customers with free air & they do not have sign posted like they are supposed to. Also your hours state you close at 11:00 so why is it five out of 7 nights you close at 10:00-10:30... Change your hours of operation instead of pissing off customers... Oh I forgot these guys can give two shits. I was driving through bakersfield with my friends when we dropped by here to get gas and some snacks for the road back to San Jose. We were immediately drawn to this location because it was the cheapest in the area by far, and there wasn't a line of cars waiting to fill up. We pulled right up to the place and I had to use the bathroooom. I walked right in and was greeted by the cashier and politely was directed to the restroom. It was pretty clean for a gas station and even had a taqueria built into the place. If I ever come through bakersfield again I wouldn't mind coming to this chevron to fill up our cars tank. read more

I love how close this is to my house! Lots of pumps, propane and mini mart. The staff is super nice and the try to help you with what ever you need. You can tell they may get a tad embarrassed having answer why the air machine doesn't work or in my case why the point of purchase for gas which asks if you want a car wash will sell and charge you for a wash even if the car wash DOESNT function. I got gas today, got my car wash code, drove over to use it and the code didn't activate the wash. Hell you can't even read the display because it's sun damaged and human damaged. I went into the store to get a refund and the girl asked a cranky old guy to check the wash. He grudging goes out there, tells me to give it a try and NOTHING. I pull thru and as in getting to park and really get my refund he stops me to try again saying my running over something reset it. I paid for the 8.00 job and I basically got a barely soapy sorta rinsed and brushed car. How about you get the cranky old guy a nap and either fix your junky wash it better yet replace it?
