I love Sullys's. It's like all the best things from town at your fingertips in one place. Want some olives from Luigi's? How about a southwest salad from Sequoias? This time I needed some delicious cinnamon rolls from Just.Cinnamon. I walked in and there they were...looking all soft and scrumptious. It used to be a quick and convenient stop, but lately there's almost always a long line with only one cashier, especially in the evenings!! I commute to work most weeks so I stop for gas regularly. The 7/11 down the street is closer to my house and a few pennys cheaper, but I'll drive an extra minute or two out of the way to come to THIS Sullys. The staff is great and the lines are quick, and it's a nice feeling to be noticed as a regular! A young woman there, her name is Nicole, she is a ray of sunshine in my daily routine, service with a smile and a joke and makes my day begin a little brighter. I've recently had a knee injury so its difficult getting out of a vehicle and "crutching" around. I pulled up in front of the store and a man happened to be walking by so I hollered at him to come over to my truck. I asked him if he would grab my item from inside for me and he gladly did so. He happened to be a hiring manager for Sullys but I didn't catch his name. There are all kinds of ways to excerise customer service as proved by this guy yesterday! This store is amazing! They carry everything you need and the focus on local companies is very prominent in their stores. That makes me happy to have all those amazing Bakersfield items in one place. I love being able to stop here for anything and then some! I was craving something sweet after lunch. Stopped in and got a Smith's cookie...a turkey, of course. While waiting in line to get that turkey, I noticed Covenant Coffee coffee pods for sale. I love to support our locals and was thrilled Covenant had pods available. Cookie, check. Coffee for later, check. I got in line and was telling the cashier how thrilled I was that they carried the pods. She showed me the section that had all the coffees they sold. Sully's is THE king of convenience stores. I'm a kid in a candy store here- they have such a vast variety of local products in addition to anything you would ever need for road trip snackage. My kids love the selection of Rosa Brothers Milk Company's flavored milks (made in the beautiful San Joaquin Valley) & I love that there is a Smith's bakery-their cookies and pastries warm my soul. The customer service is second to none at every location I have visited around town. The staff are always so consistently welcoming and friendly that I wonder where they found these people or if they let them have all the treats they want to work here. All employees will welcome you and say hi, they all have the biggest smiles on their faces and will have conversation with you whether your just getting gas or stopping inside for a cold drink or snacks. All stores are cleaned daily throughout the day inside out including pump station, outside trash and window washer tank are full and making sure inside is clean and fully stocked. They have probably the greatest selection of teas that are really good, that crush ice you always are driving all over town to find and any convenience you may need. They also have a rewards program you should sign up for that actually gives you cash back to spend inside store on any items including alcohol. I believe for every 6 drinks you buy under the rewards program the 7th is free so if your a gotta have my coffee or soda kind of person every day, this is definitely a place to become a regular at that will reward you in BIG ways. read more

If I'm paying full price for gas, I'm coming to Sully's. This is an awesome location. Service is great and the selection is amazing. First... and the best thing is you have a 24 hour Smith's Bakery!!! WHAT? No delivery on Sunday or Monday... keep that in mind... but deliveries throughout the day... first is at 5am I believe. Second... they support so many local businesses... they have items from the farmers market, Cafe Med, Fit Pantry, Dewars, etc... I could go on and on, but it's extremely clean... the decor is great, and so many choices... it's so convenient to have so many options. Also, my kids love the Shake machine... pick your flavor, take the cup, open it up... select how thick you want the shake, then put it in the machine and it mixes it right there. Very cool... they also have smoothies... a nice, different treat. I've spoken to the manager too... they welcome suggestions on what else to carry... I asked them to look into FitAid. read more

I've bought one of their fleece shirt and I washed once. It shrinks to a kid size without dryer and I've asked for refund or exchange with receipt. They refused so I find Sully's not friendly with the refund or exchange so they definitely make the customers unhappy! I recommend not to buy anything from Sully's except foods and gas. read more

Sully's Chevron on the corner of Olive and Calloway must be the best Chevron gas station anywhere. I consider Chevron, Shell, Union 76, and Mobil to have the highest quality gasoline. If I am going to pay high prices, then I am going to one of these stations. This Sullys is conveniently located. I am a big fan of their mini mart. It is spotless everytime I drop by. Staff always welcomes me with a smile. Most importantly, they sell Smith's Bakery baked goods! Once you enter the store, walk to your right. You will see their display case filled with yummy treats!! I came in because I was craving for a doughnut and for some reason, all the doughnut shops around were closed at 6 p.m....?! [Service] When you walk in, the cashier's counter is directly in front of the door, and the employees can see everyone going in. I heard and witnessed the employees working the cash wrap say hello to every - single - person - who - walked - in. Everyone. And they were smiling every time they greeted patrons. Oh my goodness, I have never seen such happy people before. [Baked Goods] Like I said, I came here because Yelp reviewers said there are doughnuts here. I don't know who or what Smith's is, and I didn't care. I just wanted a doughnut. But... there weren't any. The baked goods were off to the side of the store with its own glass display case. There were cookies left, but no doughnut. I didn't get my doughnut :(. Having wasted half my break trying to get somebody's attention, I gave up and returned empty handed. Sully's are usually staffed with friendly, helpful people but not at this particular location. I love Sully's. I will gladly pay full prices for Chevron gasoline just because every single staff I have dealt with here are wonderful. My other major reason for going here all the way from the east side is their coffee selection. They have excellent coffee and it is always fresh and perfectly blended. Best place in town to get coffee and deal with some great people. Also adding this location is always filled with a variety of items including beer. Stop for Smiths while driving from I5 to 99. We got cookies, cake and T-shirts. They also have a lot of other local products like dewars. The bathrooms are clean and it's easy to get in and out of the gas station. This is a nice place to take a little break on a long drive from San Francisco to LA. read more

Sully's on West Olive Drive is hopping all the time but they always have plenty of help to get you in and out fast. They are all SUPER nice and just yesterday afternoon I took my daughter in to get some donuts and cookies and John (please correct me if I got the name wrong) was extremely helpful and probably one of the nicest people I have met. While me and my daughter were picking out donuts he walked by and asked if we needed help. He had a jacket on and judging by the temp right now, he must have been stocking the cold beverages. He stopped what he was doing and helped us out and had a huge smile the entire time. Which is super nice since most people anymore seem like they hate life. I like to buy Chevron fuel and this is a good place to buy it. A very clean facility, the staff is very friendly. They have Smith's bakery products, that is a plus to me.
