We stop by this Chevron every time we are on our way to and back from Buttonwillow. This is our pit stop as it's in the middle, we call it our half way point. I have always stopped here with my parents as a child and now I have been doing it with my family. It is always so clean, staff is always so friendly and especially the restrooms they are always clean which is a must. We were here on 11/4/2022 and had such a great laugh with Charity. I was so tired when we went in on Friday and I was telling my husband to hurry as I wanted to get to Buttonwillow already and Charity and I just started talking and joking. She just made waiting for him that much better and quicker. Looking forward to seeing her again. read more

I will never forget my last visit here to get gas. I hope it never happens again. It was snowing hard and my gas level was down low. I was so thankful to find a gas station. It was so cold that night. Must have been about 10 PM It was such a welcome sight to see hot food in a gas station. And on this freezing cold night especially. The hot coffee was never so good. And a nice hot dog really hit the spot. After filling up on gas and food and packing up some snack food I hit the hiway once again. Wide awake and warm. However, the road was solid white and the snow was coming down like crazy I wish I had stayed at the gas station longer. I never had a scarier ride in my life. read more

Chevron is the better of the two options in this really sad little town of Gorman. They do have plenty of bathrooms, but they're pretty filthy. The mini Mart was very impressive with their enormous candy supply. The service was relatively fast and friendly. And everyone except for one employee was wearing a face mask. read more

1 star would be a generous review for this gas station. There's a 76 across the street, GO THERE, BELIEVE ME! We paid and pumped our gas like any typical trip to the gas station, the pump effortlessly took our money but did NOT pump ANY gas at all. We went in and spoke to Erin and she was completely rude and unwilling to help us, so was her manager Rick. They basically told us, "tough luck". After the pump just stole our money... it was weird, I could barely believe this was actually happening. I don't typically write reviews for mediocre service or bad service, sometimes people just have a bad day, but this was UNREAL! Here's the best thing about this gas station; it was 117F coming across the valley, just north of LA. It was 86F here. Half an hour later, it was 104F in the Grapevine. Relatively inexpensive, for a Chevron, and the only place you won't bake in the three minutes it takes to fill up your tank. It's the summertime option of choice for the discriminating non-masochist. Otherwise, a perfectly ordinary gas station with a small mini-market, nice-enough employees, and a gnarly bathroom. read more

She didn't mind us loitering inside the Chevron even though there were long lines for the the wait for the bathroom. She was all smiles and super nice to everyone who walked in. Easy access from the 5 freeway when you need gas in Gorman/Frasier Park. The location is literally right off the freeway. read more

Great place for a pit stop. Bathrooms are in good shape, always a plus. They even have a sign that says, "if the bathroom is not clean let the manager know." Nice! Gas is expensive so I wouldn't buy it from here unless you really needed some. read more

I found this service station's facilitates to be fine--clean and well-maintained. The store was also fine. But what set this apart for me was the service. I had to unpack my car's trunk to find something while filling up the car. I wound up driving off without a bag that was filled with rather expensive equipment and my passport. Fortunately, I realized this less than a mile away and hurried back to the service station. It turns out Sharon, an employee there, saw me leaving, grabbed the bag, tried to flag down the car, and then had taken it inside, put a note on it, and kept it safe. I noticed that while she had opened the bag, nothing inside had been disturbed, including items like an expensive Mac laptop and an iPad 3. Thank you! read more

3 Stars This place has pulled thru for me 2x so far. I put off filling up the tank on the way back to SJ from socal, and had to stop by here. The first time the place wasn't too clean (at least not outside), this time, it was better. The lady inside that gave me my receipt was nice.....but it is annoying that I have to walk inside to get the receipt instead of it printing at the pump like everywhere else. Not sure what happened, but I look up and hear some lady screaming for her husband...gas was shooting out of the pump all over their car. by the time he ran up and turned it off (not sure why she couldn't do it herself), the place was flooded w/ gas. It may have been operator relatod error, but in case it wasn't, keep a close eye on your pump and be careful....oh, and don't smoke while you're at the pump. read more

Myself and five other people waited five plus minutes (the guy in front of me waited longer) while the only register was shut down and counted for a shift change..... we were left wandering aimlessly around the two window counter, because neither employee took the time to let their customers know what was happening. Eh. Just another gas station in a small community outside a big city. Get gas in the Central Valley if you can Easy on and off to I5, plenty of pumps and room to stretch your legs and smoke a cig. Even a payphone if you need it. Open 24 7, next to motel Customer service is average. Not bad not incredible. It feels weird to speak to them behind a glass counter. Restroom is filthy as it gets. Line 10 deep for the urinal. Eh, plenty of bushes around station. It's said a country boy has tools and duct tape, but I say never complete without a roll of TP stuffed behind the gun rack. However, any toilet, flush or vault beats your friends mocking you because you wiped with poison oak. Selection is alright, and close proximity to Hungry Valley makes it a worthy stop for me. read more

This gas station is the pits. Expensive, old equipment, dirty. As a matter of fact, this whole town sux. Avoid this exit at all costs! This town doesn't deserve their own zip code - everything is so nasty and done half-ass. Head a little bit further to the Flying J to the south or the Mobil up north. read more

Paul here is so awesome and friendly. I was driving up from LA to Bakersfield and I almost ran out of gas! I was so focused on the gas I forgot how badly I had to pee! Before I paid Paul told me if you need to use the restroom it's right there VERY RARELY do you see someone that observant and kind, especially when you're at a gas station. They usually want you to pay and get out for the most part and usually seem disgruntled when you need to use the restroom. I appreciated this sooooooo much. Good restroom as I-5 pitstops go. Decent food mart with lots of beverages. Going South, this is your last good stop before Castaic. Going North, I'll go here for a quick stop or to Flying J at Frazier Park for a slower but more pampered stop. If you're towing and stop off at Gorman, the Chevron here is easier to negotiate than the 76 across the street. Watch the steep far-side driveways though. Like a safe haven for travellers, this place is always open when you need it. Late at night, it is a close contest who looks more tired, you or the clerk. Thanks for being there, Chevron. read more

$20 lost. I don't know whether the gas station attendant was just incompetent or just didn't realize he was holding a $20 in his hand. He said "you handed me $8 and change when I went back to talk to him after hanging up the gas pump." No! I handed you $28 and change! Will never use Chevron again. Ever! Right afterwards we went to the gas station right across the street and the woman behind the counter seemed more than nice. I swear, never again!! May 26th, 2015. Chevron stole $20. There aren't too many places to stop for gas, munchies, and restrooms (clean or otherwise) once you reach the middle of the Grapevine, but this Chevron always did the trick for us. For years, we would all pile into my mom's van and make the 2 1/2 hour drive down to Placentia every Sunday afternoon to go West Coast Swing dancing (See my review of The Clubhouse www.yelp.com/biz/the-clubhouse-dance-studio-placentia#hrid:Pm-UYF8Vu64KaQ7vBomPDg/src:self ) Mom would pack coolers full of drinks and baskets of goodies for us to munch on the ride down while we played dance videos or movies on the DVD player in the back. We'd leave Placentia between 11:00 and midnight, and by the time we reached the Grapevine on the ride home, we'd all be asleep in the back while my mom drove. This Chevron, and the attached convenience store and restrooms, were a convenient stop to stretch her legs and pick up a caffeinated drink to keep her going the rest of the way home. Sometimes we woke up and used the restroom, too, and sometimes we just slept right on through. My mother will probably kill me when she reads this review and finds out that I shared this story publicly, but even she'll have to admit it's the God's honest truth and I can't ever pass this exit without thinking about it. On one of these trips home, I remember waking up in the van in the parking lot of this Chevron. My brother was still asleep, but his dance partner, Marcie, was awake. I went into the convenience store and saw my mom bending over the freezer that housed the ice cream sandwiches and other frozen treats. I walked past her into the (very clean) restroom. I walked out and got back into the van. As mom was exiting the parking lot, Marcie suddenly blurted out "They tried to leave you!" Apparently, when mom got back into the van she hadn't noticed I was missing and had started to get back on the freeway before mMarcie realized that I was missing. They quietly pulled back into the parking lot and evidently all agreed not to rat her out - though obviously the strain of keeping the secret proved too much for one of them. So, my advice is to stop here to take advantage of the gas, munchies, and clean restrooms. HOWEVER - DO NOT get out of the car without your purse or cell phone as I did, because if nobody notices you're missing, you could be there far longer than I was. ADDITIONALLY - Count heads before you pull out of the parking lot, and if you do leave somebody and want to swear the others to secrecy off some type of incentive for them to keep the silence ;) read more

I come in here for snacks and energy drinks on my scores and scores of trips to So Cal and of course lately the SGV. The staff here is very nice, pleasant and helpful. The restroom has always been clean, sometimes a wait. Gas is expensive, I usually do not fuel up here for that reason. read more

Very big selection of junk food to satisfy your driving needs. The rest room is very clean, but if your tall don't use the little restroom stall lol. Your practically knee to door and I'm not the tallest person in the world lol. Other then that the staff is friendly. I was greeted right away by one of the girls that were stocking the shelves.
