I requested a tow of my personal daily driver Transit 250 van. The driver saw into the back of my van. It wasn't empty, it has personal items inside, like clothes and a hammock. Only after hooking me up and putting me on the flatbed, and as I was sitting in the cab with the driver, he handed me the phone to his dispatch. The dispatcher said AAA does not cover commercial vehicles. I explained it is not a commercial vehicle. It is my personal daily driver. They then said the van had to be emptied to be towed. I was in Santa Clarita needed to get it to my car alarm installer as I thought the issue was with my aftermarket car alarm not my battery. They charged me $350 to go 25 miles. We called AAA and they said this is not the case. I have filed a complaint with AAA. Screw you, Castaic towing for the predatory practices. Obviously zero stars of available. read more

On Friday, me and the family got a flat tire on sierra highway. We called AAA, they said "castaic towing" would be helping us out. We waited almost 2 hours, the waiting time was not the issue! Until a truck with castiac towing displayed on the truck went into the business parking lot while slowing down looking at us before he entered their parking lot, stayed in there for about 8 mins backing up, then reversed into the driveway way, sat there for another 10mins and then parked in front of us but further down because of the entrance...NEVER GOT OUT and asked what the problem was, NEVER TOLD US HE COULDNT HELP OR THAT WE NEEDED SOMEONE ELSE! We just needed help to change a tire! Me and my brother were outside the car with the spare tire, our dad was waiting in the car "handicapped" waiting for him to come, he saw us! Plan and simple! HE JUST DROVE OFF! We received no info and either did AAA because we never got updated. Luckily a tow truck "not associated with AAA or Castiac!!" "Elijah" saw us made a u-turn in his tow truck and helped us, took less than 5mins and we were back on the road. Called AAA for a tow and they first referred me to Velocity towing from Lancaster, after waiting 2:30 hours for their driver to come they canceled my call. Next CASTAIC towing was called and after waiting for and hour for them I got feed up and called AAA and they said CASTAIC towing truck broke down supposedly but they never notified AAA of the breakdown so here I am wasting 3:30 hours of my life on lying tow truck drivers. Tow truck company's should have much much more better customer service skills than what I and many other people have witnessed, they should put themselves in our shoes too see how it feels. read more

We contacted them again. They set up two more appointments which they never showed up for or called us back on now it's been two months. No one is contacting us. Worst towing company in Santa Clarita. Every time I call AAA they use them however they never tow my cars. Always busy and make you wait to only give call to another company. They won't update you on change. Hours goes by before anyone shows up and if you call office dispatcher has nasty attitude. More than 1 phone call and they won't answer any more. Let's start with the most simple possible statement. You do not want to use this company. I get a call from my wife. She was in the turn lane to take a left turn. The tow truck in front of her (Castaic Towing Company) realized that he had overshot his intended driveway and so he blindly backed into my wife ... in the car she had just bought a few days ago. The driver, a young kid without a clue, called his company and they offered to take our car themselves "off the record" to fix it up at their body shop. I arrived a few minutes later to assist and we declined that offer. I ask for their insurance information and it takes the kid about twenty minutes to find some out-of-date paperwork. In the meantime, he's near tears because he reports that his boss has said he will have to pay for the damages. Our insurance company starts investigating and it turns out that this company DOES NOT HAVE A VALID INSURANCE POLICY. Right ... the company you trusted to get your damaged car to the repair shop is in itself not insured. You've already had a bad day ... don't make it worse by using this company. read more

Mohamed the driver was phenomenal. However, the dispatch team and manager, Lezly/ Leslie, were HORRENDOUS. Single worst towing management team. TLDR; request tow service via AAA. AAA assigned us Castaic. Once assigned a driver I reached out to Dispatch to confirm the tow would be completed 175 miles north since my AAA membership covers up to 200 miles in tow. Dispatch said ok. 15 minutes into our tow, our driver informed us that management told him he had to drop us off at the nearest gas station all of a sudden because they didn't have enough drivers. 1) Why even commit to pick up if you con't complete tow drop off? 2) When you do drop us off in the middle of nowhere, it's AAA policy that you need to provide an ETA and next driver confirmation before leaving us. Lezly - you had no problem yelling at myself and wife over the phone lecturing us on "policy" but you failed to adhere. 3) There's a reason your average review barely has 3 stars and other tow services in vicinity have 5 stars. Well, first of all, I have really mixed emotions about this place I meant by far they go out of their way to help you, but for a fee and another fee and another fee, but they will accommodate you once again For a fee so anyhow, my car was impounded, even though I asked the officers if I could leave it for my daughter to pick up because I have that right to ask for that they had arrested me because I had a warrant outstanding warrant I was unaware of and they said they impounded it because the registration was out since 2018. Mind you my car is a 2018 BMW I just bought it previously Two weeks before that incident. My registration clearly was not expired, but that was a reason for having to take it to the impound instead of leaving it for my family to pick up. Well let me just tell you four days. I had tried to get it previously and my family did as well but my license disappeared out of my car mind you I had to pay $100 or $98 I believe it was to go in there after hours after 5 PM because they had just closed so I had to pay $100 to go in there to get my license That was there before I could even get the release to pick up my vehicle then mind you it was not there anywhere go figure so I had to go back there and for another fee I had to have them come back out even though I told him I'll be right back. I had to go to that sheriff station to tell them that my license was not there, which was not even a block away from there And they're aware that I was coming right back to retrieve my vehicle but since they left and had to come back I told him I was coming right back but anyhow for another fee of $98 as well as for the towing fee which is a minimum of an hour they said they charge for even though it was a block Away But yeah, it was a minimum of an hour. They had a charge for as well as for the impound fees for it had been now five days which everything after everything was said and done was like pretty much close to 800 $900. Oh yeah, I had to pay a lean fee too.? Can you believe that ... but they do go out of their way to accommodate you once again for a fee and they were very nice enough to open up the office and let me wait for the guy to come back because I was very sick and it was very cold outside so they let me sit in the office so I could be a little bit warmer while I was waiting For the guy that had just left to come back so overall they do accommodate you they do go out of their way to help you. I guess money you can buy anything right but yeah, my car would not start when I picked up my car! They said oh it's probably out of gas, which was incorrect cause I was pumping gas when the officers arrested me which is kind of funny because the car did have like only 3 miles on it and I did pump gas so yeah that's kind of odd. I just thought about that but anyhow, so it would not start. They said that somebody would come and give me a jump right away. They would have somebody come out and give me a jump because They carried my car on a crane out to the street and then nobody ever showed up to give me a jump mind you my car still needs to be jumped every single time I stop my vehicle now. read more

I ordered a tow truck via AAA. They sent Castaic towing. I was never contacted or updated with ETA from the driver. Once he arrived, he told me he could not take my truck because it was too big. (I described the type and length of truck when the tow was ordered.) Based on his comment on where the truck was being towed, I got the impression he didn't want to drive my truck out of town. Last week I had a dead battery after pulling over to nap due to a chronic pain condition, this is to say I was already have a super duper tough day. Jesus was the tech to respond and Matthew joined him which worked out perfectly because Matthew had the exact battery my car needed to get me home. They did a fantastic job changing out the battery, finding me (I was in a hard to locate spot), communicating with me every step of the way, and they even liked my leashed foster kitten Kiwi (who is now [yay] in the best possible forever home). Both had kind and easy to understand ways of speaking to me an average person who doesn't know everything about cars. It was the day before Memorial Day. I only waited about 30 minutes for Castaic Towing to show up. The man that came was so friendly, so helpful, and I feel horrible that I didn't pay attention to his name but if he sees this, we were stuck on Sand Canyon Road near Placerita Canyon. He got the car up and towed quickly to our home since no tire stores were open. I'd give him a 10 for his service, helpfulness and kindness! Worst tow company ever. Their driver damaged my car when he showed up for a tow. The tow truck driver from Castaic Towing arrived on time but did not come with the flatbed as I requested. When he showed up I told him that I was concerned because my car is extremely low to the ground. He told me not to worry. However, when he tried to get under the car, it ripped off the bottom lip and destroyed the bumper. He immediately tried to fix it and started arguing with me that he was not responsible for the bumper but only the bottom guard even though there were wires hanging and liquid was draining from the car. When I started arguing with him he refused to tow my car to the shop (after he damaged it) and said he was not responsible for the damage. I immediately called AAA and spoke to Karen (H867) who documented everything but said that any damage needed to be dealt with Castaic towing and that AAA was not responsible to which I replied that Castic Towing is a vendor of AAA and was assigned to me by AAA therefore AAA needs to take responsibility. Karen stated I should first try and "work it out" with Castaic towing. Below is the timeline of what transpired with Castiac Towing. 9/6/22 - Spoke with Abraham at Castaic Towing. He said his driver was only responsible for the bottom lip of the car. I told him that the car was at the shop and that there was significant damage to the car...much more than the bottom lip. He said he would go to the shop to see it in person so I gave him the address, phone number and shop owner's name. He said he would call. 9/7/22 - Called Castaic Towing to check on progress since the shop told me that nobody had called and nobody had come by. I got the dispatcher who said there was nothing they can do. I called back two hours later and got the same message 9/8/22 - Called Castaic Towing. Got dispatch. Was told that Abraham is out of the office on Thursdays and Fridays and to call back on Saturday 9/10/22 - Called Castaic Towing and was told that Abraham was not there. I left a message. Nobody called me back 9/11/22 - Called Castaic Towing five times. Got dispatch each time and told them that nobody is picking up in the office 9/12/22 - Called Castaic Towing and spoke with someone in the office. He said Abraham was out but he took a message and I told him that if I don't hear back and don't get a resolution by tomorrow that I would be filing a police report and a complaint with AAA. 9/13/22 - Called Castaic Towing and spoke with Abraham. He said he will only pay for "cosmetic damages" on the bottom lip. I said that he was supposed to go and inspect the car and now he stated that he did not need to do so and that he saw the pictures his tow truck driver had given (after he pulled the tow truck away) and is not responsible. I informed him that he was obviously "playing games" and that I would be now filing a formal complaint with AAA. When I filed with my insurance company (also happens to be AAA) they agreed to all the damages and the estimate and fixed my car for $3000 in damages. Ran out of gas on I5 in an area with no gastation nearby or any exits. Daniel came out and helped with that ensuring my friend and i were safe in the car. He also followed us to the gas station after putting the gallon into the tank which made us feel secure that we would be okay before he left. Very kind, checked in and called with us. The texts from the service model were a bit off but Daniel maintained communication so we were always aware of eta and what was going to happen.
