Over priced. There pricing goes by dealer labor prices. And parts. They will charge going by the dealer pricing. They gave me enormous price on replacing struts 2011 Nissan. I drove to the Valley and got a better price. Paid just labor. I got the parts on line. Cheeper then MB. They are only good for oil changes. My opinion. Was having some major car issues on the way up the grapevine. Stopped at MB so see what the issue was and they were so quick! They took us immediately and ran a bunch of diagnostics. Unfortunately the damage to the engine was going to be more costly than the car itself. Byron was so helpful throughout this super stressful ordeal. On our way back to Fresno on Thanksgiving, just passed Magic Mountain, we ran over a garbage bag with something really heavy. Thank God, we did not hit it with our tire. Otherwise we would have rolled and it would have caused great injury not only to us but other people and vehicles. Thank God we were right near the exit to MB auto Center in Castaic, Ca. After talking to a driver and a tow truck, he referred us to to MB auto center. we went there Friday morning, they had so many cars to work on, thought we would be there for a few more days. It appeared that we needed a new radiator , we weren't sure if we'd be able to get a radiator...etc. they were able to get the radiator. They got us back on the road before dark on Friday. read more

I've taken cars/trucks here 4 times for oil changes but I won't be going back. Sent someone to get an oil change and tire rotation only for a small car. Wish I went instead. The up charges are absolutely ridiculous that it came out to $227.67! I had to laugh when I saw the receipt. Mostly upset that they installed a new cabin filter when I personally just installed one 4 months ago for 13 bucks and they charged $50. Mind you, they typical are good for 20k miles. I have been taking my truck to them for oil changes for years. Always been fast and gave me the exact oil I wanted. The other day my sunroof broke in the tilted up position. I asked them if they could take a look at it and potentially fix it, they immediately dropped what they were doing and were able to get the sunroof down after tinkering with it for several minutes. They were not able to fix it completely as it is a much more complicated job, but they were able to give me a temporary solution. When I offered to compensate them for their time they declined! They ran the diagnostics and I had a big problem that they said might be covered by a manufacturers extended warranty and referred me there. They didn't even charge me for the diagnostics. Amazing, brought a car from Cali that had been in an accident where someone hit me directly in the rear passenger wheel. They bent everything in the wheel support. I had Honda replace rods and supports. I had other mechanics work on the car and replace suspension systems and the wheels kept wearing out on the inside having to replace tires every 3 months. They diagnosed the problem, fixed this issue and never had a problem with the car ever again and it wasn't even expensive. So thankful! read more

I gave this place a chance by sending my car to the shop for a faulty part because my other mechanic I usually go to was busy and this shop is around the corner from my house. As typical they try to overcharge you for a part that's a fraction of the price which is very insulting and disrespectful in my view, but I understand that it's business. They will take advantage of people who are gullible and inexperienced in doing their own research in comparing part prices. I would not recommend coming here. read more

I have been taking my mom's, daughter's and my own car to MB Auto for the last 2 years for oil changes. I now live in Simi Valley and drove to Castaic because I like the friendly and personable service I have always received. Two weeks ago I left a bit disappointed that the customer service wasn't the same. In the past, I have received outstanding customer service such as the time Byron told me that rats were chewing the wires in my mom's car. He wrapped the wires for me with instructions to try to park elsewhere and he warned me of the damage and high repair costs they can create. Always doing that little extra for his customers. This time while checking my transmission fluid, I heard one of the guys mention to another that my transmission must have become hot based on the smell of the transmission fluid. He didn't mention it to me and when I asked him about it I was told that it was no big deal and the mileage on my car isn't that high that I need to worry about it. I paid for the service, was given my receipt and left very disappointed that I didn't get the outstanding customer service that I have received in the past. I will still drive the 45 minutes to get my oil changed, I just hope the customer service will be better next time. read more

The experience I had here was disgusting to say the least. Called ahead to make sure they had time for me, they said they are only working on 1 car so come on in and we can start right away. We get there every car port was taken but one. We ask to speak to the manager and was told he's busy very rudely. We see the manager and ask him to speak with him. He jumps down our throats and yells "what what can I help you with" we said " I just called ahead to make sure you guys were going to be able to see me today and you said you could start right now. I come here and there's no space for me to even park." He says well if you want to be seen today your going to have to wait a few hours. WHAT! How ridiculous! Very unprofessional! BEST EXPERIENCE AT A MECHANIC! I'm not from the area. I was traveling from Los Angeles to Oakland in my 99' Corolla. My car broke down on me as I was traveling through the grapevine, snapped serpentine belt. I called around and immediately MB Auto said they would be able to help. They recommend a tow truck. Adam, the boss, at AA Tech Solutions came and picked me up himself. He told me I'd would be in good hands at MB Auto Center. When I arrived Byron quickly diagnosed the problem and gave me a list of solutions. He was fair and honest. Told me what to expect and after getting the job done sent me on my way safely. I had my whole family heading for a family vacation and after driving for 5 hours we pull up to a gas station and our truck would not start. My husband was able to get it on and we started calling to locate the part. We finally found the part and asked for a good mechanic. This family owned business was highly recommended and really made us feel at home. They even allowed for our dog to wait with us in the cool waiting room. We are back on the road again and the price was reasonable. We thought since it was an emergency they would see a need and charge us more but NOPE. Very honest and knowledgeable people. Came in for an oil and transmission service for my car about 2 weeks ago. Was greeted by who I believe was the owner (nice guy we talked sports). Was told it would take some time, he offered me a ride home, but I like to stay while my car is worked on, I have trust issues when it comes to my car. The waiting area is way better than anything I've been to, TVs and sofas. Got my car back and everything has been great since. If you have a distrust of dealerships, like me, you need to come here.
