I had a tire go flat on hwy 5 and had AAA bring me here. I had an unusual tire size (265/40R21) which is usually hard to get, but they had something in stock for a very reasonable out the door price (half of what the normal Pirelli costs, though it was a lesser known tyre brand of course). They also installed it extremely fast. Basically had time to walk to the McDonald's next door, use the restroom (no food - just the restroom), walk back, and they were done! Unfortunate low tire pressure light went on while on the I-5 and knew calling AAA will probably leave us stranded for hours. Luckily we found Golden State Tires still open and I called to ask for a tire patch quote and drove over immediately. We were quickly taken care of by Tony. He popped my tire off and told me that he recommends a new tire because he cannot guarantee the patch will be able to fix the hole. (Only because the nail was HUGE). He went and got the price of the new tire and was able to switch out the old one in the span of 10 mins. We were back on the road and overall took less than 20 minutes. I'm assuming we got lucky as they were closing in an hour. My new tire was slightly over inflated so it threw off some of my car sensors but we were able to deflate it when we got home and reset it ourselves. We were driving on the I-5 through Gorman when our car suddenly alerted us that the back left tire was losing pressure fast. We exited safely at Ralphs Ranch Road and pulled into the 76 gas station. I called AAA, and let me tell you... that "15-minute arrival time" was the biggest lie ever. Nearly two hours later, still no tow truck in sight. The third-party tow finally called and said they might be able to tow us to a tire shop soon, depending on when a driver became available. Nope. At that point, we just needed to get home. A quick search led us to Golden State Tires, thankfully located right across the street! I called, and the lady who answered was incredibly helpful. I gave her the tire size, and she told me someone would be there in 5 minutes to replace it. And she wasn't kidding! I immediately canceled AAA. From the moment they arrived to getting us fully back on the road, the whole thing took less than 30 minutes. Total came out to $300 + for one tire including tax and miscellaneous fees but honestly worth every dollar for the speed and peace of mind. Golden State Tires saved the day and outperformed AAA by a mile. If you ever find yourself stranded in Gorman, skip the headache and call them first! read more

Amazing service. My car got a flat and I had to pull into the gas station at the top of the grapevine. Fortunately it was right across the tire shop. They went out of their way to get things fixed quickly and come get my tire where my car was parked. I was in and out in less than an hour and back on my way. Blew a tire after a truck moved into our lane and they came out to fix it. Charged me over $300 just to come out! I made a call later to ask what the price was and they said it's usually $200. They said it was more because they'd have to take it back to the shop (weird that a mobile service wouldn't be roadside but we had no other choice) and then the guy decided he would change it right there but didn't give me money back. The tire they sold me was a cheap tire (Laufenn) that they overcharged for as well, but the worst part was that they ruined my rim!! I have pictures showing what it looked like right after he pulled it off the car and what it looked like after. We were charged $562!!! They told me to send an invoice for the wheel and then when I did they stopped answering my calls and texts. I'm going to let my insurance company go after them since we have yet to hear back. read more

We caught a flat tire while driving to LA from Stockton. This was the closest tire shop to us (about 20 miles away from where our tire went flat) they had just experienced a fire recently and a lot of their inventory was compromised. But luckily for us, they had 2 of our tire sizes in stock! We made it there and they had us in and out within 20 minutes! Great customer service, super friendly and very helpful. We had a flat on our truck tire while headed North on I-5. This was the closest tire repair place and the tow truck driver that was sent to us couldn't recommend them more. He said he takes a lot of people there and he thinks they are honest and fair. They fixed our punctured tire and rotated the very large mud tires on our truck for $60 total. My husband and I had been driving home back to Bakersfield from having an IVF transfer done in Thousand Oaks. We were about 1 mile south of Gorman when our front left tire popped and got a flat. After being towed to Brian Tires, we awaited the news about our tire. The employee (I don't think it was Brian, because he said he was relatively new there) said that out of the 400 tires they had, he didn't have the size for our Subaru Forester. He said he'd change out our flat to our spare for us and apologized. We were about to accept the inevitable of driving down the grapevine with a spare when he found one tire left in his inventory that was for our car! We sat on the couch and played with his dog while he handled the tire within 10 mins. Amazingly friendly and professional, he got our car figured out so we could get home safely. I'm thrilled to be writing this review. I got a flat in my Tesla and dutifully used the Tesla app for help. Parked on the side of the busy I-5, the operator via text indicated it was gonna be a few hours and then after 45 minutes, received another text that basically said... "we can't help you, good luck!". This is where Golden State enters the picture. First of all, Krystal was a calm and competent voice on the other end of the phone. Said no problem. We got you. Tony and Carlos jetted out to my car, pulled the tire off, took it back to their shop, replaced it with a new tire, ripped back out to the freeway and slapped it on. Driving down to San Diego from the Sacramento area for a funeral and when we pulled into the Tejon rest stop close to Lebec CA we got a flat tire. The AAA driver who put the donut tire on and after telling me that I could go go 50MPH for. Out 70 Miles on this tire told me about a tire place that hasn't been open very long in Gorman ( about 4 miles away) . He had not heard any reviews about it but saw it when he ate at the Carl's nearby . Our only alternative was to drive 40 miles to Santa Clarita so I call Brian and asked if he had my size tire . He told me he would check and call me right back . He did within minutes and said they had the tire I needed in stock . We drove slowly up the hill and Brian , who was busy putting new tires on a boat trailer had me back up right in front and within 30 minutes had the new tire on .
